[From Serine Cliff]
The lights from the city shone radiantly, and drew Rayan and his companion Dysis towards them like moths to a porch light. She fluttered behind him playfully as he walked, and every time he turned around to see her, Dysis quickly flew to the other side to be at his back once more. Although he thought her cute, Rayan found her playful nature a bit tiring, knowing that there were a host of dangers ahead for them to face. Still, he endured her company with a smile until they reached the western entrance to the city.
“Here it is,” he announced, pointing at it with his hand open for dramatic flair, “Centropolis. There’s plenty of places to go and sights to see inside. Centropolis boasts marvelous restaurants, the best beer-serving taverns, and the liveliest nightclubs in Ria. And, of course, it is also home to my humble, but first-rate, weapons shop.” Rayan seemed to take an amount of pride in mentioning his store. Although it was not impressive outwardly, he was convinced there was no better place to buy weaponry on the whole planet. Having listed some of the places she might consider seeing, Rayan asked Dysis, “So, where is it you would like me to take you first? Do you want to see one of those places I mentioned, or just tour the streets?”

((nothing like dysis runnin into trouble to stir things up))
As she followed Rayan, she soon forgot her little game of "hide behind Rayan!" Dysis's eyes were as wide as she could manage as she gathered in the views of the city. She wanted to see everything all at once! Lifting herself higher in the air, she suspended for a few seconds before she went flying off.
"Catch me if you caaaaaaan!" Dysis cried to Rayan, giggling.
Dysis flew down a street , taking in every single thing that she saw. Turning a corner, she bumped in to the first group of people! Excited, she came to a stop and floated down onto the cool pavement. Dysis was about to sweep down into a curtsey, but an aweful stench floated to her nose. Immediately her hands flew over her nose as she tried to look for the source. Perhaps it came from the little things the guys seemed to inhaling air through.
What a strange way to breath...
A couple of the guys smirked as they watched this strange girl stare at the marijuana. ( i forgot the name for the lil sticks...) One of them even walked up to her, still inhaling air through it...weird as it was.
"Hey cutie, you new here? We're new too you know, that's why we're doing this," the guy greeted Dysis with a bit of a slur.
Dysis tilted her head to the side, although she still kept her hands over her nose. "I'm new too! Woooow! Rayan never told me about this!"
"It's okay, I'm telling you now. Here." The guy handed her a small bag filled with white powder. Dysis stared at the contents. It smelled funny...but it looked a bit like snow. She stuck her finger inside, trying to see if it was snow...but it wasn't icy.
"What am I supposed to do with it? I can't make a snowball..."
((i realized i know nothing about drugs...))

[Hehehe... "Hide behind Rayan!" XD so cuuuute! Drugs... laughing at how little you know about them.]
No sooner than Rayan had spoken, little Dysis was busily getting into trouble. Rayan took off after her when she flew off, but she was much faster with her wings than he was on foot. "Hey, wait! Stop! Where are you going?!" he called out after her, but it was no use. Rayan kept up his pursuit of her, rushing past people and shops, weaving in and out of traffic as he went. He followed her around a corner, almost out of breath from chasing her. Then he froze. An unpleasantly familiar stench stung at his nostrils. Dysis had managed to run into the local drug culture on her first try.
The druggies had offered her a little bag filled with white powder. Cocaine. You'd think if they're going to do drugs, they'd at least get something better than that, Rayan thought. But drug brand name issues were the least of his problems right now. He had to get Dysis out of here. Since the thugs hadn't seen him yet, Rayan decided to steal their attention away from Dysis and thus distract them.
"Well, well... I thought I had seen all the ugly this world had to offer," Rayan said to the group in general. "Looks like I was wrong." The druggies slowly turned their heads in his direction, their stoned eyes giving off death threats. "You got something you want to say to us, bud?" asked the one who had offered the bag of cocaine to Dysis.
"Heck yeah I got something to say to you. I suggest you leave that girl there alone if you know what's best for you." The man with the bag scoffed contemptfully, and stepped back towards his fellow drug addicts. "Tch... what, is this cutesy little girl with the wings your girlyfriend or something?" Rayan hesitated a moment. He wanted to put on an appearance of being threatening to the druggies without putting Dysis at any risk. Then an idea popped into his head. He walked up to Dysis and gently took hold of her hand, then sidled in closely to her to give the appearance that they were actually a couple.
"You got it right on the mark," Rayan lied. "And if you don't mind me saying so, I'm not too interested in sharing her with you. So I suggest you let us be." Turning his head towards Dysis, Rayan whispered, "What did I tell you about getting into trouble?"

((meh i'll let u rp the druggies~cuz i dunno wut to do wit them))
Dysis was delighted that Rayan had found her! He had caught her! He even held her hand so that she couldn't pull a trick and run off again. Although she didn't understand what was going on, the happiness that shone in her eyes that Rayan had played along with her game of catching her added to the appearance that they were a "couple."
"Trouble? Is somebody in trouble? We should help!" Dysis whispered back to Rayan, completely unaware that she was the one that was in danger.
Staring again at the little bag of white powder inside, she realized that it must be some sort of fairy dust! Dumping the powder in her hand, she blew on it so the white powder blew towards the group of guys. Dysis had expected something amazing to happen such as them changing colors or floating. When nothing happened, she began to pout.
"...It didn't work for me... Waah..."

Rayan's head slumped into his other hand when Dysis blew the powder into the air. She doesn't know those are drugs... where does this girl come from? he wondered. Then Rayan noticed the druggies' reaction to discovering their beloved powder had just been released to ride the eight winds. They began to slowly close in on Rayan and Dysis. Rayan's mind began to race, with the thought of protecting his "girlfriend" foremost on his mind. He nudged Dysis slightly, signalling to her to slowly back up, and then led her by example, still holding onto her hand. After a few tense moments, the apparent leader of the druggies spoke up.
"That was my best crack, bud. I think we might just have to rough you and your little girlfriend up a bit for that."
Rayan waved his free hand in front of his him frantically. "No, no, wait! Don't do anything to her!" he protested, acting like a protective lover. "Please! I'll... I'll reimburse you." The druggie's eyes widened, showing their intoxicated gleam. "Yeah? How can you make me believe you?" "I'll buy you the best drugs in the city, on me. Really." When Rayan saw that they were not quite won over yet, he shuffled his hand in his pocket. A moment later, he pulled it out, revealing a small bag. The top was opened slightly, and the bright orange gems inside sparkled in the city lights. Rayan tossed the bag to the man and told him, "I'll give you part of my payment now, and the rest later. That prooves you can trust me."
The druggie looked down at it stupidly, then opened it, counted the money inside, nearly dropping the bag on the ground in the process. He then looked back up at Rayan as if he still was unsure about their deal. "All right... look," Rayan said, "You know where the Tetra sector of the city is?" The druggie looked at him with an inquisitive look, then slowly nodded his head. "Well, meet me at the corner on Gatling Street. I'll be there, 3 PM sharp tomorrow." The druggie looked like he was still unsure about agreeing to this, but apparently he was intoxicated enough to buy Rayan's malarky.
"Ehh... I don't know about all that... but okay, it's a deal. Let 'em go, guys." Relieved, Rayan quickly pulled Dysis behind him as he scurried out of the druggies' territory as fast as he could. When they were finally at a safe distance, he pulled her up to a wall and turned her to face him.
"What were you doing!?" he said, breathing hard. "They could have hurt you!" Rayan paused for a moment to catch his breath. He realized that she might mistake him for being angry, and so he added, "I'm not angry with you or anything. Just that you scared me a little bit back there. No more running off on me, okay?"
Rayan decided that it would be best to hold Dysis's hand during the entirity of their tour. If he did not, there was nothing to prevent her from getting into some other mischief all over again. Besides, she was incredibly pretty, and her hand was soft and comfortable to hold. Rayan didn't mind holding her hand much.

Dysis stared at the pretty orange gems that Rayan handed over to the guys she had just met. She remembered when she used to adorn her hair with sparkly blue and clear crystals. She loved how the sunlight would hit the crystals and cast a rainbow around her.
However, she had given those crystals to those that really wanted them. Dysis beamed, realizing that Rayan was a very nice guy to give away crystals for free. Suddenly, she felt like a bird riding on a current of air. Rayan had started running! Try as she might, her tiny feet couldn't keep up with Rayan's fast and powerful strides.
So Dysis unfurled her wings and floated behind, letting Rayan pull her along. She giggled the entire way, thinking about how fun it was. It was as if she were a human kite! Only when Rayan stopped did she land back on the ground. Her cheeks were flushed from the excitement, and a couple free strands of her hair fell into her face.
Her sudden rush of happiness was stopped when she looked into Rayan's eyes and heard the concern in his voice. Dysis realized that she had made him upset by playing her little game. She looked at her feet and shuffled them, feeling a little sad. "I'm sorry...I promise I won't do it again..."
She took her hand from Rayan's hold only to wrap her pinky around his to seal her promise. Dysis slipped her hand back into his as if to show him that she was serious about her promise. When her free hand, she tugged on Rayan's shirt.
"Rayan~let's go somewhere fun! Pleeeeeeease?"
Dysis looked up at him with hope shimmering in her sapphire eyes.

Anubis was lost. He didn't know where the pair had run off in this city. People were everywhere and most of them looked the same. He began pushing through the crowds, and noticed two people running from an alleyway. He stood on his toes and saw the familiar blue hair bobbing along quickly. He took off after them and they soon stoped next to a wall. Anubis leaned against a building across the street and watched them.

Rayan smiled as he felt Dysis’s soft fingers wrap around his in an oath. He was very intriguing with her innocent antics, and he was glad that she had taken his scolding so well. A moment after her initial apology, she was as bouncy and happy as always. But when she looked up at him with the adorable gleam in her eyes and childlike look on her face, Rayan felt himself melt.
Must… resist… urge to squeeze like plush toy…
“Okay, okay,” Rayan said, yielding, “I’ll take you somewhere fun. Now let’s see here…” Rayan put his hand to his chin and tapped his foot. After thinking for a few moments, he snapped his fingers. “I got just the place you’re looking for! Follow me!”
With that, Rayan dragged her along as his adorable white-and-blue balloon down the street. After a short time, they were within sight of a building on the side of the street with a large flashing red dragon above the doors. People were floating in and out, and the music playing inside was loud enough to be heard a block away.
“Here we are,” Rayan announced. “I think you should be able to have a real fun time here, without causing me too much trouble.” He slowed his pace to a casual walk, and gently led Dysis through the large brass doors by the hand like a gentleman. As soon they entered, their eyes were lit up by the multicolored flashing lights above the stage and their ears pounded at the heavy beat of the music. Rayan smiled satisfactorily as he glanced around. It had been a long time since he’d taken the liberty to relax and have some leisurely enjoyment. He was hoping that both he and Dysis would have a slam-banging good time.

Dysis's eyes were dancing over the various people dancing and the colorful lights that streaked the club. She almost wanted to squeal and cover her eyes when the music first hit her ears. She could feel the vibrations of the music run through her body. Turning around, she threw herself onto Rayan, wrapping her arms around his neck in an embrace.
"This is so amazing! Woooow!"
As Dysis hugged him, her clothes had begun to change. Strips of white fabric seemed to be unattaching themselves from the dress and fading away. For a couple seconds, all that could be seen was a cyclone of white strips covering her body. When the final piece of fabric that swirled in the air disappeared, Dysis's dress had changed.
It was a shorter dress than ended about mid-thigh, swishing around her. Some of the same lacy designs could be seen in this new dress, but now it was spaghetti strap. A white ribbon was tied at the front with a small crystal in the center, while a larger ribbon tied around her waist and ended in a bow in the back.
Dysis had recieved this gift from a wandering tailor who decided to mend her ripped dress in return for her helping him find his pet dove. She had not known that this tailor was famous for his talent in making magical clothes and was often sought after. When she recieved her dress back, she was already delighted that the tailor had fixed it. When night fell and the temperature dropped, Dysis was shocked to find that the dress had lengthened magically in order to provide more warmth.
Untangling herself from Rayan, Dysis pulled him towards the crowd of people that were dancing. Unfortunately she had never stepped into a club before...and didn't really know how to dance. Pouting she tugged on Rayan's sleeve again.
"Rayan~I don't know how to dance... Can you teach me, pretty pretty pleeeeease?"

Why did the lights have to flicker so annoyingly, like fireflies on a dark night, there for a reason but unwanted still. The people dancing didn't seem to share this feeling: the place was packed. Clubbing attracted all kinds of people, and in this club all kinds of people could be seen. Young couples were the most common but middle aged singles were a close second. In this place there were tables to gather around, booths to squeeze in, stools to teeter totter on, and a sweet dancing floor like none other.
The booths were the best, both for the inconspiciousness of them and the view: one could see the people, but the people could not see you. Usually only the couples who didn't want attention, or couldn't find a room liked these dark corners.
This young man was a sneaky young fella though. He liked sitting in the end booth, his booth, where the the people dancing could be seen, where the chattering of large gathering could be heard, where the clink of glasses being raised and set down, only to be picked back up.
Usually he liked crowds, being the center of attention, making people laugh with jokes. This was different though, a whole new kind of crazy. Introducing yourself to strangers is a experience that no one has quite perfected. Everyone is different, obviously.
Initiating the conversation is half the battle. If so, this young man whose name was, is, and will be Banana was losing. He hadn't tried to talk to anyone all night, just sipping non-achoholic Molta Goya and enjoying the dancers who actually knew what they were doing.
He would talk to someone soon, he told himself. Just waiting for the right person or group of people to come in. If there's one thing Banana could tell, it was usually the people he could fit in with. So far, none had shown. Maybe his luck would soon change.

Rayan nearly stumbled in surprise when Dysis wrapped herself around him in a hug. He felt his cheeks turning red from embarrassment as he returned her embrace. Rayan wasn’t sure why, but she had just triggered something in him that made him both excited and nervous all at once. However, despite that he felt himself getting shaky, he did thoroughly enjoy the hug Dysis gave him, as she was very comfortable to hold.
What happened next left him in wide-eyed amazement. As Dysis clung onto him, her clothes began to swirl about and exchange fabrics. At the end of the transformation, Dysis now wore a shorter dress decorated by ribbons. Rayan’s jaw dropped partly, and he nearly choked. Besides the fact that Rayan was shocked at Dysis’s transforming dress, she was remarkably stunning in her new apparel. “W…wow…” was all he could muster to say.
When their hug ended, Rayan jerked unexpectedly as he felt Dysis pull him towards the dance floor. She tugged at his sleeve innocently, gazed into his eyes and begged him in the most adorable fashion ever to teach her to dance. Rayan melted again. He didn’t know much about formal dancing himself, and felt incredibly unnerved by her for some reason he could not explain, but there was no way he could possibly refuse her adorable charm.
“All right, I’ll dance with you as best as I know how…” he breathed. Rayan looked about at the other dancers, noting their style and the movements they were making. Suddenly, the lively music ended, and a new song began to play. It was a smooth waltz, and the people on the dance floor began to sway with each note, as if blown in a melodic breeze. Rayan looked back at Dysis, smiled at her enigmatic beauty, and gently slipped his left arm around her waist. He then clasped her smooth hand with his free one, holding them in position in front of his right shoulder. Rayan then began to make slow movements with his feet, getting a feel for how to move in rhythm. Gradually, he felt himself and Dysis gaining experience, and began to get surer of his movements, gliding along in graceful strides. Grinning, Rayan spun his partner around, then grabbed her hand and stretched their arms, using the momentum to recoil her back towards him in perfect form. He had picked up on dancing extremely quickly, and was enjoying himself completely.
“Are we having fun yet, Dysis?” Rayan asked her, a gleam of pleasure in his eye.

A couple walked into the club, a couple like none other. Unique, magnetic, random, weird, uncommon, all these words could be used to describe them. They immediatly caught Banana's interest; his eyes zoomed to them like a electronic wheelchair being operated by a crazy old man.
This is the kind of people that I look for.
The guy and the girl looked so different from a typical couple that Banana wanted to laugh out loud for no reason at all. It was so nice to see something fresh in a steroetypical world. The guy had blue hair, spiked back in a soft rebellious look. The girl's dress was amazingly unique in a way that made her shine. He could see they were probably complete opposites.
Maybe opposites do attract...
Banana decided he would call them Mick and Mee, at least until he met them. It was something he often did, nickname people he knew he could become friends with. Yes, his sense wasn't always true, but most of the time it was right.
The couple started dancing while he looked on, sipping his drink unconsciously. It was easily the best thing that had happened to him the whole night. He bit into his ham and cheese sandwich and enjoyed the show.

((aiya...sorriness for takin so long. unexpected wushu dinner...that lasted till 1am...))
Dysis felt a tingling sensation rise in her stomach and spread throughout her body as Rayan placed his arm around her to start the dance. Unsure of where to place her free hand, she rested it on his arm. Letting him lead her, she found herself catching on quickly. Dysis's feet moved gracefully beneath her as her dress flowed after her. When Rayan twirled her, Dysis giggled a little because it was so fun.
"We are having lots of fun! Thanky, Rayan!!!" she replied as her body continued to follow his.
As if pulled by some sort of magnetic force, Dysis's body pulled in closer to Rayan's. The waltz was a dance of passion and of grace, and she seemed to radiate each component. She gazed into Rayan's captivating green eyes and lost herself. Slowly the people around them began to retreat, forming a circle around the two, entranced by their poetic movements. One wouldn't be able to tell that they had just learned.
Dysis failed to notice all this because she was lost in her own reality of the dance. Nothing else existed for her at the moment. Her feet danced beneath her, never once colliding with Rayan's. This dance was one that came from the fairy tales, one that wasn't supposed to exist. Perfect harmony didn't exist, yet this dance seemed to falsify that truth. People wondered if this was a dream and if time had stopped, but how could that be if everybody was witnessing the same thing?
When the music slowed to a stop, Dysis and Rayan's almost ethereal dance stopped as well. The circle that had formed around them resumed their original positions. People blinked as if waking up from a dream, awed by what they just saw. Eyes smiling, Dysis realized that she loved dancing very much! She wondered if everybody could dance as well as Rayan. Throwing her arms around him once more, she pulled him in for another embrace.
"Thanky for giving me that wonderful experience!!"
She couldn't quite explain what she felt at the moment. Perhaps what could best describe it was a feeling of bliss and gratitude. However the wonderful feeling that had exploded in Dysis soon came to a hault when she felt her tummy growl. She sweatdropped as she placed her hand on her stomach. She had forgotten that she hadn't eaten the whole day, but her little tummy had just decided to remind her.
Dysis was in quite a predicament. She was taught to never impose on anybody, and Rayan had already been so nice to her. She didn't want to ask for food for she had already asked for so much. Dysis began to feel guilt sink in as she thought about Rayan spending time with her. Perhaps he had other more important buisness to attend to, but she dragged him away from it. Her wings drooped sadly as she wondered what to do.

Rayan felt a tinge of red creep into his cheeks once more as Dysis wrapped herself around him. “I’m glad you enjoyed yourself,” he told her, feeling somewhat sheepish as he held her closely. Rayan felt absolutely alive. He hadn’t had this much fun in weeks, and Dysis was so absolutely adorable, charming and captivating all in one. A smile grew to Rayan’s lips as he reflected that, had he not run into Dysis, he would have had just another boring, uneventful day.
When the bliss fled from Dysis’s face, Rayan felt momentarily confused. Did I do something wrong? He wondered. All was revealed to him as soon as he heard her stomach grumble. Laughing aloud, Rayan said to her, “Hungry, eh? We’ll just have to do something about that, now won’t we?” He stopped, however, when he saw a look of regret cross Dysis’s pretty little face. Her wings drooped, and her eyes lost their excited sparkle.
“Dysis, is… something the matter?” Rayan asked, looking at her concernedly. Suddenly, the thought struck him that he was still holding onto her. He wondered if it for any reason had anything to do with that, but he hoped not. Her soft skin made her very comfortable to hold, and Rayan preferred to keep in physical contact with her as long as possible.

Dysis wanted to bury cover her face from shame, but because they were still wrapped around Rayan, she buried her face into the nook of his shoulder. She should have thought that Rayan might have some other things to do before she asked him to show her around. Her eyes teared up, looking like sapphire orbs that had been dipped in morning dew.
Looking up Dysis asked, "Have I been a burden to you?" Her lower lip began to tremble as she thought about it even more. "I didn't mean to..."
Dysis reburied her face into his shirt, afraid that his answer would be yes. She wanted to continue to have fun with him. A glimmer of hope shone through her eyes as she thought that perhaps Rayan did enjoy her company afterall and she wasn't a burden. But of course nobody could see this because her face was still tucked comfortably in the nook of Rayan's shoulder.
