Dysis whimpered in her sleep, seeking relief in her nightmare through an exterior warmth. She squirmed in Rayan's arms, wrapping her fingers tightly around his shirt.
Dysis was only five years old, chasing after what looked like a butterfly, but was actually a woodland fairy. Her tiny little legs ran as fast as they could after the pretty butterfly with her arms stretched out as far as they could in hopes of catching it. Not knowing the name of it, she decided to call it a "pretty."
The beautiful creature then flew over a stone wall that Dysis had never before seen. That thought however never entered her mind for it was focused on the butterfly. The wall was ivy covered! It was perfect for climbing. Maybe there would be more of these pretty creatures on the other side.
Perhaps it was some sort of party! She saw bright orange flashes just beyond the wall. A faint noise that sounded similar to thunder from a storm that had not yet reached their village sounded right before the orange flashes. If it wasn't a party, perhaps it was some sort of storm. Dysis loved storms! They were so pretty and powerful!
Tangling her hands in the ivy, Dysis began her descent up the wall...which wasn't very far at all. As soon as she had lifted her body off the floor, strong hands lifted her off the wall and began cradling her. It was the priest that would later bless her with wings.
"Silly, young Dysis! And where do you think you're going?" the priest asked smiling. The corners of his eyes were wrinkled in worry for if Dysis had managed to climb over the wall, she would have seen that were forbidden to her.
"I was chasing a pretty!" beamed Dysis as she giggled.
The priest then conjured up a butterfly of light and set Dysis down. Dysis, delighted that there was another pretty, began to chase that one. However, the joyous memory of the past was shattered. The pieces of her dreams broke into many sharp pieces, plummeting into a dark nightmare.
Fire began to scorth the land, devouring it like demonic dogs fighting over the last bit of meat. The wall that was behind Dysis melted away to reveal what lay beyond. People were attacking each other in a way that Dysis had never been exposed to before. Something wrapped around her ankle, looking down little Dysis began to tremble uncontrollably as she sobbed.
It was the priest...or what remained of him. His body was scortched, save for half his face. His skin had turned to ashes, blood bubbling to the surface.
"You will learn, Dysis. I'm sorry."
His voice had come out completely calm, but then the priest was yanked away at her. It was sight too horrible to imagine. Another person had latched onto the priest ankles, trying to tear him away from Dysis. But before he was successfully pulled away, the charred skin ripped off, revealing the flesh beneath it. Dysis fell to the ground and began to feel cold despite the fire that surrounded her.
Dysis had begun to shiver in Rayan's arms, her face paled and began to prespire lightly. Although still not awake, Dysis was now clinging to Rayan, seeking any sort of comfort.
"Stop..." Dysis whispered in her sleep as she continued to dwell in her nightmare. Suddenly her body went lax in Rayan's arms, although she was still shivering and prespiring. Somehow her hand had found her way to Rayan's and was now wrapped loosely around one of his fingers.

Rayan’s right eyebrow rose slightly. “You have a vehicle?” After thinking the matter over, Rayan nodded. “All right then, we’ll use whatever transportation you have. Lead me to it, and I’ll give you directions to my weapons shop. I’d feel safer about Dysis if she were with me than in some nightclub for the night.”
Rayan had taken a few steps towards the door when he heard a soft, almost inaudible, “Stop…” At that moment, he felt Dysis go limp in his arms. Rayan looked down at her, noting that she was sweating, trying to grip his finger as she seemingly struggling in her sleep. Rayan gently removed her hand from his finger to clasp his larger hand around hers.
Probably having a nightmare, He thought. Rayan frowned slightly at the prospect of sweet little Dysis suffering from unpleasant dreams. He pulled her closer to himself to accommodate her, and began to calmly stroke her hair with his hand again. Rayan felt a smile tugging on his cheeks. He could not help but feel utterly captivated by Dysis- she was enchanting to him, even while she struggled in her nightmares.
“Don’t worry, Dysis. I’m here for you,” he whispered to her reassuringly. Rayan didn’t know if she could hear him or not in her sleep, but he wanted to comfort her in any way he could.

[Posting for me and Zack, since he's on vacation and I don't think he'll mind. Sorry for making you wait so long, Rachel.]
Rayan turned back towards Banana and nodded. “It’s decided. Get your vehicle.” Banana cocked his head slightly and looked at Rayan quizzically. “We’ve got to get Dysis out of here… someplace safe. I figure I can watch over her best on my own property. Get your car and I’ll direct you to my store.”
“Ah, good one, chief,” Banana replied, snickering slightly. Rayan sure could be amusing sometimes. He worried about his woman so much that he wanted to watch over her as she slept. Then again, Banana couldn’t blame him for watching her. “All right, I’ll be back with the car. And maybe some ladies if I find any on the way there,” he said with a smirk. “You can’t be the only man with a girl attached to your arm. Hopefully they’ll be as good looking as yours.” Rayan just looked at him strangely and said nothing. After about five seconds of awkward silence, Banana burst out, “OKAY! I was just joking! Gosh! Stop taking me so seriously!” He turned and dashed out the front doors. Rayan shook his head as he watched him run off.
“At least he means well…” he said quietly to himself. Suddenly, he heard a car horn outside of the nightclub. Carrying Dysis carefully, he propped himself against one of the large, heavy doors and pushed it open. There in the middle of the street was Banana in his hot ride. It was a chromed black color, with blazing symbols engraved on the hood and sides. All that was missing were the ladies Banana had mentioned previously.
“Rayan, get in!” he shouted, leaning his arm out the window. Rayan quickly walked over to the car, but stopped in front of the door. “Something wrong, bud?” Banana asked him.
“Can’t open the door,” Rayan replied. He motioned to Dysis with a downward nodding motion of his head.
“No problem. I’ve got something that will shock and maybe even surprise you.” Banana pushed a button on the dashboard. A moment later, the gears in the door shifted, and it opened and slid back. Rayan climbed in and carefully laid Dysis down on the seat gently first, then sat down in his seat. “Nice gadget you got there,” he said. Banana felt a wave of pride soak through him at this compliment. It wasn’t often that he got complimented, and even less frequent that someone as famous as Rayan complimented him.
“Thanks, bud. Now, where’s this shop of yours?” Banana asked.
“Just start going forward,” Rayan told him. “I’ll direct you as you go.” He gently propped Dysis’s head against his side, and wrapped one arm around her because she was shivering.
“Okay, bud. Your wish is my command. Or rather, in this case, your directions are my path,” Banana said, and pressed the accelerator. Rayan directed him as he drove, telling him where to turn. All the while, he kept at least one eye on Dysis to make certain that she did not stir. Rayan wanted her to rest after having expended so much energy reviving the bouncer back at the club.
After what was about twenty minutes, Banana caught sight of a large sign in red lights that said “Stiger Co.” He brought his car to a gradual stop, ending up right in front of Rayan’s store. Banana quickly glanced about at the outsides of the place and took a peek through the window. He saw many advanced weapons and gadgets lined up, and a cleanly kept gray interior. It was no wonder to him how Rayan became so renown- merely observing a small portion of Rayan’s arsenal was enough to see how skilled the young chief was at creating weapons.
Looking over his shoulder, he saw that Rayan had already opened the door and had Dysis in his arms again. Heh, a man of action, Banana thought to himself with a grin. He quickly turned his car off, slipped out the door, locking it as he went, and followed Rayan into his store.
“Nice place ya got,” he said, looking around. There were even more weapons and gadgets in here than the ones at the window. Banana restrained his jaw from dropping to the floor, much as he had once upon a time when his friend came up to him with not one, not two, but three ladies on his arms.
Rayan however made no comment. He brought Dysis to the soft waiting area seats and laid her out on them. His eyes were focused on her, checking to make sure she was still resting peacefully.

Lucan lay with his back against a dark alley wall in a relaxed position. His fingers gently danced across the strings of his mandolin. His mind lay weary with the troubles his day had brought him. Longing for rejuvenation Lucan directed his gaze to the night sky, fingers stopping their melodic journey. Lucan’s eyes gently shut, finally about to receive what they desired. The sleep was abruptly cut short however, by a passing car, which came to slow stop.
Standing up, Lucan took hold of his mandolin and the long black bag he traveled with. His white cape stretched out behind him as he approached the street. He was curious about the kind of people this town held. The sound of stretching leather boots came to a halt as Lucan reached the alleyway entrance. He leaned against the wall and observed two men, one carrying a girl enter a store with “Stiger Co.” hanging overhead.
“Heh.. Just a couple of nice people enjoying themselves I guess…”
Lucan’s head drooped as he took note of the group of apparent friends and he let out a soft sigh. He took hold of his belongings ready to return to his previous position with the intention of catching some sleep. As he began to re-enter the darkness he glanced back at the store. Through the windows he saw some kind of something….. which appeared to be a high tech weapon. Glancing back at his black bag he thought to himself, “I guess someone there might be able to fix you up.”
Lucan made an about face and went in a beeline to the shops entrance. Fortunately it was still open. The door swung out and Lucan stepped through into the small lobby area of the store. He noticed the three people there and decided just to get down to business and do what he came there for. Lucan made his way to the counter and placed his long black bag down on top of it. His hands reached for a small thread and promptly gave a tug. The side of the bag opened revealing a pudao. The blade was worn down from many battles and in need of repair. Lucan patiently waited, thinking that someone would eventually wait on him.

Post by Raziel on Jul 22, 2005 1:40:17 GMT -5
It was a moonless night, a beautiful clear sky full of stars, but in the distance large storms clouds rolled over the hills. Raziel walked alone, as he usually did, down a deserted street in the center of Centropolis city, hopping to find a place to rest for the night when he smelled a group of humans behind him. Raziel looked back at the group and then sat down against a corner of a building with the words, "Stiger Co." above it. Raziel listened as the humans drew closer to were he was against the building, until he heard a creak and soft bang as the door of "Stiger Co." opened and closed. Raziel looked over at the building to see if the humans had gone inside, as he watched the building from the corner he saw a fourth man casually walk in.
Raziel shook his head at the thought of the pitiful human race, as he pulled a crumpled pack of cigarettes out of his pants pocket and drew out one cigarette. He held the cigarette between his lips as he reached into his back pocket and pulled out a gold zippo lighter. Raziel flipped the lighter open and struck the flint but nothing happened, he tried two more times but still nothing happened
"Fine then I will do it the easy way," Raziel said quietly to himself. He put his zippo away and snapped his fingers, and a small flame erupted on his finger tips, he moved the flame to his cigarette until he had a good ember on the tip of his cigarette.
"There, see how easy that was," Raziel said as he slowly stood up and turned toward the building he had been sitting against and nodded, he was a bit impressed at the weaponry he could see on the back wall of the shop. Raziel looked at the glocks hanging at his sides, then back up to the shop, were a plasma pistol called for him.
"Might as well go humor myself, maybe they will have a good weapon or two that I can replace my glocks with. That pistol right there looks like it could do some damage, I would not mind carrying it around." Raziel took a couple puffs off his cigarette, and let the smoke rise slowly from his mouth and nose. He took the cigarette out of his mouth and looked at it shaking his head, "Relaxing my ass..." Raziel gently set his burning cigarette on the window ledge of 'Stiger Co.' and walked in.
It was not a giant building on the inside, but it was of good size and Raziel was still impressed with the instruments of destruction that lined the walls. Raziel walked slowly to the counter in a dramatic anime style entrance, and knocked on the counter to get the owners attention. Without even acknowledging the man whom was already standing at the counter he spoke firmly and clearly, "I need one laser rifle, and two plasma pistols. Uh you wouldn't happen to have a really big gun would ya?"

(wow that sounded nothing like me dp ) While Rayan seemed intent on staring at Dysis all night, a little creepy how much Stiger stared at her, words drifted to banana's ears from the front room. I need one laser rifle, and two plasma pistols. Uh you wouldn't happen to have a really big gun would ya?"He walked out and saw two men at the counter. This place really is famous I guess. One of the men had set down a black bag on the clear counter, and had unzipped it, revealing a menacing blade. He was glad this guy was friend not foe, or Bana would have been scared to put it simply. Scared, that is to say, if the blade was in good condition. It was obvious why the blade had been brought here: it was worn down from an apparent many uses in battle. This man stood patiently as if he knew impatience would hinder, not help his cause. The other, the alledged speaker, was not so patient. In fact, his impatience was transparent; he seemed to want to display it, to draw attention to it. Banana purposefully looked at the patient one, intent on serving him first. He picked up the bag and looked closer at the blade inside, it seemed to be a pudao. He set the bag down and signaled to them both that he would be right back. Walking up behind Rayan he spoke quietly. "Rayan, you have customers. I know this is not a good time, but I would especially like to see one of them served: he is very patient."

Rayan snapped back to his senses upon being called. He stood up and turned around; there before him were two men. One stood in front of the counter, waiting patiently as he toyed with a dull blade in his hand, whereas the other seemed quite the contrary in nature. Rayan glanced back at Dysis and sighed. He hadn’t planned on customers- true, his store was still open, but he had intended to close shop early for Dysis’s sake.
I can’t just brush them off now that they’re here… Might as well offer them services. Dysis will be fine without me for now.
“How may I help you, sirs?” he asked using his polite, business-like voice. Rayan scanned his customers and sized up the situation. “Excuse me,” he said, addressing the one who had listed off several weapons he wished to purchase, “but if I’m not mistaken, that man next to you entered my store first, and is waiting very patiently. Feel free to browse my store until I’ve taken care of business with him. After that, I’d be more than happy to attend to your needs.”
Rayan turned toward the quiet, patient man and nodded. “Thank you for waiting. I take by the look of things you want your blade to get fixed up.” As he waited for an answer, Rayan gave his friend Banana a silent look. It was meant to convey his appreciation for grabbing his attention until he could sufficiently thank him with words.

"RAYYYYAN!" A lound voice complianed as the front door fell back to a close. "Where have you been? I had to track you all the way up to Siren Cliff!"
The pouting voice was coming from Rene, a teen with golden hair that fell to her lower back. This hair fallowed her movement as she sauntered up to the crowded counter and completely ignored the other costumers.
"I want my shipment please." There was a half frown that seemed as if she was trying to give a puppy dog look but her tone had gone down to show that she was sincere and didnt mean to be annoying.
*Blink blink*
"I'm sorry! I didn't, are you in line?!" She franticly stared at the two males that she had butted infront of. "I didn't mean to..." She searched for an explination. "B4k4." Her palm softly hit her forehead.
(sorry its so short I have to leave to go to DC.)

Lucan stood there in shock, first at the rude man who had shouted his request upon entering, and secondly by the obnoxious girl who interupted his transaction when it seemed he had finally gotten someone to assist him. Despite his surprise at the peoples behaviors Lucan did not show any sign of outward irritation, but merely continued on with this Rayan who seemed to be in charge of the shop.
"Yes.. I would like to have this blade replaced.. if its not too much trouble."
Lucan handed Rayan his blade and the store clerk took it. Lucan waited calmly for this master weaponsmith to do whatever he could with his pudao.

((man...wuts wit all the ooc? hm...gotta catch up!!!!!))
When Rayan put Dysis down on the chairs, Dysis's dress was covered in a cyclone of pieces of white fabric once more. This time in the dress's wake were white silk pajamas with sky blue trim. The pajamas consisted of loose drawstring pants and a long-sleeved button-up pajama shirt.
The five year old Dysis sobbed in her nightmare as her tears began to form an ocean. The fire was now quenched, but she didn't know how to swim... The ocean around her began to spin, tossing her like a ragdoll against the sides of the whirlpool. She no longer knew if she was screaming or not because the raging water drowned it out.
From the sky dropped a glowing blue orb of light. It seemed to radiate a familiar warmth. Dysis reached out to it, stretching her tiny little fingers as far as they would go. Finally it brushed against it, allowing everything around her to slowly fade away.
"Rayan..." Dysis whispered, unsure of why she had said that name because as a five year old, she had never encountered anything or anyone with that name.
The word "Rayan" slipped from Dysis's mouth, carried over from the nightmare into reality. Her eyes opened slightly, fear trapped in a sea of blue. Memories of the nightmare still hung around her but were fleeting. As all dreams and nightmares are, everything was forgotten except a very small feeling and a snapshot of the dream that was burried deep within the unconscious.
Dysis was soon completely awake in an environment unknown to her. Where had Rayan gone? Where was she? What happened? A rush of the night's past events flooded back of Rayan saving her and she saving another's life.
Is Rayan okay?!
Darting her head in various directions, she spotted her friend standing nearby. Relief washed into her and she tried to float to him. However, her energy was still very weak and her wings had not returned. Her attempts resulted in nothing but falling off the chairs and squeaking. With another squeak, Dysis pushed herself slowly off the floor into a standing position. Her legs wobbled beneath her as she made her way slowly to Rayan, still dressed in her sleeping attire..
When she was close enough, Dysis wrapped her arms around his waist partially as a hug and partially as support.
"Yay~you're okay~ Where are we?"

Rayan heard a loud, familiar voice from behind. He turned to see a young, teenage girl with golden blonde hair, dazzling eyes, and a spunky personality. Rayan greeted her with a grin on his face.
“Hey there, Rene. Good to see you. Here for the equipment you ordered, I suppose?” he asked. Not waiting for an answer, Rayan added, “I’ll go get them for you right now. Hold on a moment.” He turned and walked past his counter to the storage area in the back. After about ten seconds, Rayan emerged carrying a slender silver-coated rifle. He plopped them on the counter, then turned his head towards Rene.
“Here you are. This gun is just what you ordered- it has multiple firing modes, so it can be used for different purposes,” Rayan explained. “Also, it has a very advanced computer targeting system on the side. See, by looking into the HUD screen…” -Here Rayan pointed at a screen on the back part of the gun- “…you can see the area in front of your gun for up to several miles. That’s very useful when you need to go into sniper mode. And if you press this button here…”
He pressed a small black button on the side. A section of the top part of the gun flipped open, and a small sniper scope popped out. “It has a scope, which you can put away by pressing back down on it. That way you don’t have to have it open when you’re in close quarters combat situations. One last bit of useful information: by pressing the small red button next to the black one I pushed earlier, you can make a laser sight show up where you aim. There’s an option for having a single, straight beam, or you can have four converge on the same spot if your aim really needs some work. Sometimes a single beam can jerk around when your moving back and forth quickly, so that’s why they added that option.” Rayan took a quick breath, having said a mouthful. “Well, she’s all yours. Please pardon the silver color, as this is a prototype model. I’ll tell you how I got it some other time… it’s a secret. I should receive the upgrades that belong to it once those get developed. Enjoy, Rene.”
With that, Rayan turned his attention back towards his first customer. Walking over to him, he said, “I’m sorry for making you wait again. I have a policy where I retrieve weapon orders right away to my customers when they come for them. I hope you’ll understand.” He reached out and took hold of the man’s blade and brought it up close to examine it. After a few moments, he looked back up at its owner.
“This blade’s been used quite heavily, I see. I could try to sharpen it for you, which could take awhile. That might make it weaker in the end, though. It’d probably be easier to just replace the blade entirely and save the handle. Pardon me making you reiterate, but that is the method you would prefer, correct?”
Rayan suddenly felt Dysis wrapping her arms around his waist. He returned the hug as best he could from his position, feeling slightly embarrassed as he did so in front of his customers. “I’m fine, Dysis. We’re in my weapons shop.” Rayan gave her a warm smile, brushing a lock of one of her bangs off her face. “I’m a little busy helping my customers right now, though, so do you think you could wait just a few moments for me?” He asked gently.
(Note: ooc posts deleted. Note who Rayan forgot about btw... that leaves it up to you Boku buddy what your response will be.)

Rene smiled a "Thank you." to Rayan as he handed her the amazingly light weight rifle. He scampered off to assist one of the other costumers and her attention turned to evaluation her new assistant. It was beautiful. She, herself, actually liked the refreshing pure color of silver, it seemed to be fit for a stylish girl who still wanted to maintain femininity during such a gruesome job.
"And it matches my earrings!" She giddily told herself. "Hmm, if it was gold it would match my dagger." Her emerald eyes glanced down to her right hip. There in its holder was the golden hilt of her precious dagger. One of the few items she originally owned, or had with her when she lost her memory. "Any color would match me." She laughed, for her dagger contained many jewels, the biggest of which was a large emerald, in the center of the hilt.
Rene elevated the rifle to her left shoulder and supported the barrel with her right hand. She turned and watched the room spin through the attached screen. The gun pointed at the window, the teen fiddle with the weapon and soon she seeing a taxi pass by a few streets over.
"Wooow." A delighted and fascinated half smile held her face.
The blonde went on to test out the black and red buttons that met her with great satisfaction.
"I love this Rayan!" She shouted over to him. "Huh?" The gun lowered and Rene stared at a beautiful girl ((not sure if Dysis is a teen, or lady or what)) attached to Rayan's waist.
"OH MY GOSH!" Rene forgot about her interest in the rifle and placed it back onto the counter. Within two seconds her own arms were wrapped around the blue haired Dysis and Rene was pulling with all her might. "GAH! DON'T WORRY RAYAN!!! I'LL SAVE YOU!!!" The heels of Rene's gigantically tall boots pressed onto the floor as the crazy girl frantically pulled to rip the person off of Rayan. Oddly, in Rene's mind, Rayan was being pick-pocketed right there in his very own weapons shop! This person had to be really stupid to go for a wallet with a cash-register in the room! And a room that was connected to one of Ria's most prestigious weapons warehouses!

((dysis isk 18))
As Dysis nodded her understanding to Rayan's request, she felt herself pulled away from him. With no strength to put up any sort of struggle, she collasped to the floor. Tears welled up in her eyes as a result of her current state of weakness and her confusion as to why she was pulled away.
Am I no longer allowed to hug him? What did I do...? I...don't understand...
Still too naive to understand what stealing or any other crimes were, the thought that she was percieved as doing something of that nature never occured to her. A tear trickled down her cheek as she looked up at Rayan. There was an ache in her heart that she couldn't describe. It was as if chains were wrapped around her heart, trying to sink it.
Dysis wanted to escape, but was nowhere capable of doing such a thing. It seemed as if her emotions drained the little energy she recovered in her short nap. Her eyelids fluttered a few times before closing as Dysis slowly curled herself into a little ball on the shop floor.

"Oh no." Rene whispered as her eyes turned to fear. All of a sudden she realized that she had made a grievous mistake. The same emotions that were draining Dysis flooded into Rene and the same tears welled up in her eyes. The judgmental teen swallowed and released her lanky arms from the confused Dysis.
"I'm sorry." The words were barely audible and she struggled to push them through. Rene slumped back, her body convulsed in twitches and shivers. She attempted to look up at Rayan but tears hindered her gaze with a foggy curtain. A sorrowful whimper was heard as Rene shifted her weight and leaned over Dysis. The young lady stared at the curled up creature and tried to grasp for something to say. At last her hand brushed the shoulder of Dysis and Rene nudged her. "I......I was trying....I thought......." There would be nothing Rene could say to explain her action to someone of such innocence.
"You can still hug him."

Young Banana scractched his head, as he usually did when he was emberassed or didn't know quite what to do or both. Right now it seemed two ladies were fighting over Rayan, which, to put it simply, made him jealous. The only time Banana had had two ladies fighting over him ended when he woke up.
This awkward situation was furthured by the fact that with all this noise the impatient customer seemed to be getting just a little more impatient, although he had not spoken yet. The customer with the blade hadn't responded either yet, but it seemed to be because he was thinking over Rayan's announcement about his blade.
Deciding this confusion was hurting his head, Banana went into a random side room to check it out. The room was very unique. Weapons parts were scattered around, cluttering the room. It seemed to be in disaray, but from past experience as a teenager with a "messy" room, Banana knew that Rayan probably could find anything he wanted in the room.
Banana picked up a knife handle and started looking for a blade. Maybe there was a welding machine around here somewhere where he could create the ultimate wepaon! mwahahaha he laughed but then looked around, and seeing no one kept on looking.
