Rayan smiled as he heard Rene's squeals of joy above his conversation with Dysis; there were few things in life he enjoyed more than an estatic customer. "Heh, heh. Glad to see you like it."
Rayan's mind began to drift off. Despite currently being busy with attending simultaenously to three customers, Rayan felt extremely satisfied. He prided himself in his weaponry, and nothing made him feel better than seeing that his customers were happy.
His daydream popped as instantly as a bubble on a blade of grass. "DON'T WORRY, RAYAN! I'LL SAVE YOU!" Rayan turned around confusedly and saw Rene tugging at Dysis with all her might. His little friend quickly collapsed to the ground, all in tears. Rayan's heart instantly lurched, and his hand yearned to reach out and pick her up and brush away the tears. But before he could do anything, something even more shocking caught his eye. Rene had broken down into tears, too.
What's goin' on around here?
"Um, excuse me, but... what are you doing?" Rayan asked Rene. He immediately realized that it was an awkward question, but it was fitting for an awkward moment, as Rayan really had no idea how to respond. He looked around for his friend Banana for help- Banana's spot was vacant.
Did he leave the room or something? Rayan wondered. I hope he doesn't feel left out or incredulously bored or anything. Blast, just when I need him, too...
Turning back towards the girls, Rayan focused on resolving the confusing conflict at hand. He bent down and delicately picked up Dysis by the hand. Once she was on her own two feet, Rayan held her closely to himself with his arm around her for comfort. He then stepped forward and extended a hand towards Rene.
"I have no clue what's going on. But I hate seeing ladies cry. So, please... try to feel better about whatever it is, all right?" Rayan said to her, completely ignorant of her ability to experience the emotions of those around her.
[Off on vacation for 10 days... sorry if that delays things. At least I posted before I scuttle off! I'm gonna miss you guys! I'll post while I'm away if I can.]

Dysis wrapped her arms around Rayan's waist once again when she found herself hugged close to him. Sniffling, her tears slowly ceased as she felt comforted just by Rayan's mere display of affection towards her. Hugs were a universal thing that Dysis always treasured.
On Avari, what was fantasy on other planets was reality on Avari. Winged horses, creatures that lived in the water, and winged people all existed. A few even resided in the garden Dysis used to visit so often. Perhaps they were attracted to the purity that remained inside.
Dysis was ten years-old now crying because she had just fallen in one of the rose bushes. She was sorry for all the beautiful roses that she crushed that never had the chance to fully bloom. Several small scratches covered her body, but she had one significant one where a torn dug into her skin. A white horse with a spiraled horn on its forehead stepped out of what seemed like nothing but air.
The pretty horse hung its head over Dysis's back, pulling her close. It was the horse's version of a hug. Instantly Dysis felt happy. Even if she couldn't understand horse language, she could always understand the meaning of the hug. Then the horse disappeared as well as all her cuts. Even the rose bush was mended. Only the crushed rose petals
"Thank you, Rayan..."
A small smile had appeared on her lips again as she looked up at Rayan with still eyes that were still moist from her previous tears. The ache in her heart was melting away quickly. She didn't know why, but just knowing that Rayan was there to care for her was comforting enough to eliminate all saddness. Perhaps if everybody was Rayan's friend then everybody could be happy!

Rayan looked down at Dysis and smiled. “No problem. Although I still don’t understand what all that was about…” He felt himself turning red with embarrassment. Here he was, standing in the midst of total strangers hugging an adorable, stunning girl. Rayan was thankful his mother wasn’t present to tease him about it.
“I guess I should get back to helping my customers,” he said, both to himself and to Dysis. Rayan turned towards them. “I’m sorry for all the commotion. Anyways, as I said earlier, I can either sharpen your sword or replace the blade on it entirely. Just tell me which method you prefer and I should have it done by early morning,” he said to the patient, quiet customer. Then to the more boisterous one he said, “All right, sorry to have made you wait. What is it you want again?”

Raxyce smirked at the sight of reaching the destination he had been seeking on his what was seeming to likely be a long journey. For the last few weeks he had been coasting around Centropolis City, wondering if he would ever find any useful information at all in this huge city. He was in a hurry, and wanted to get closer to his ultimate prize; finding Astrid. Through some investigation he had uncovered that she was being held somewhere by a bounty hunter named Ryker Onikas. All of this pissed him off greatly but he eased his grip on his pistols as he saw the hot chick sleeping behind the counter and the clerk who Raxyce guessed was the guy who owned this place. Info time Raxyce thought to himself as he brushed his light blue bangs out of his eyes and took in his surroundings. He couldn't think completely; he was so depressed and yet showed no sign of it... all he wanted was to hear the voice of his Astrid again; it had been about four weeks since he had seen her. Everything had happened extremely quickly and he didn't know what in the world had happened to her. For the most part all of the time he had needed to remind himself of what 'going it solo' was like again. He walked with composure up to the clerk. [glow=red,2,300]"Excuse me, do you know where I can find a weapons dealer by the name of 'Rayan Stiger' ?[/glow] Raxyce asked, looking from the blonde haired girl, back to the blue-haired clerk and noting to himself, If I don't find Astrid... this chick could serve as a replacement, not as good, but definitely a replacement.

Rayan turned upon hearing someone mention his name. Before him stood a man he had never seen before. A crimelord, a bounty hunter, or a mercenary... Rayan thought, definitely one of those things. Though he had never seen this man before, Rayan knew most of his customers were mercenaries or bounty hunters of some sort; occassionally a rival weapon salesman came by to get more inventory to spread around the black market for some extra Zethar.
Best stay on guard, he told himself. Rayan gave the man with a serious but non-threatening stare. He tugged at the cuff of his right glove as he sometimes did before conversing with a potential customer- it showed a sense of flair, and also determination to retaliate if the situation turned ugly.
"Speaking," Rayan replied. "And who might you be, sir? Do you need a weapons tune-up, or a replacement, perhaps? Or is there something else on your mind?"
[This thread was pretty much dead for awhile buddy... but who knows, maybe we can get enough people together again for it. Or we can just continue somewhere else or something. I thought u weren't going to use FE char names anymore... well w/e. Astrid is fine by me...]

Dysis turned her attention to the light blue-haired man that Rayan had begun talking to. An odd sensation struck her heart. It was as if it was being slightly squeezed, and although this man may not physically show his saddness, the emotion still hung around him like a heavy cloud. Awed at this weird feeling, Dysis only knew one thing about it. It shouldn't be there. It was a feeling that she couldn't explain since she has never felt such an emotion. It felt wrong and too foreign to her.
Reaching her hand up, she reached up to her hair and pulled one of the many white roses that adorned her sapphire-blue hair. Once it parted from her locks, the rose crystalized into the brighest and clearest crystals found. Dysis looked innocently at the stranger. The thought of him being potentially bad never occured to her because the concept of evil was also foreign to her. Approaching him, she presented him with the crystal rose.
"Hi," Dysis chimed with a bright smile. "I just thought you might need this."

As soon as the flower crystalized Raxyce stared at for a second. Then he closed his eyes and immediately he saw Athena, [glow=red,2,300]"Well done, your heart has led you to what you have lacked... you are not far from forever wielding the forbidden blade, the sharpest edge of your inmost being is seeking for you just as hard as you seek it out. Find them both, and you will become that which all evil fears."[/glow]
[glow=red,2,300]"Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Raxyce Aurion, as of now, I'm a mercenary and former bounty hunter... I have a long story one that you wouldn't understand well... it's probably because I'm from somewhere else. It's also not everyday that a beautiful young lady surprises me with a crystal flower... thank you."[/glow] Raxyce said, acknowledging Rayan's presence, but mostly focusing his attention to the blue-haired girl.
[glow=red,2,300]"May I be priveleged enough to be enlightened as to your name, my lady?"[/glow] Raxyce continued, as he smiled at the blue-haired girl and noticed that while he held the flower he felt Astrid's presence growing nearer and nearer, although he knew for a fact that she was far off it still made him feel a lot better and he was very grateful for the blue-haired girl's un-prompted kindness.

"GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Rayan shrieked in pain as Raxyce spoke, clawing at his eyes. "MY EYES! TOO MANY COLORS! The colors BURN!!!"
[Just kidding... seriously I wish you wouldn't colorize your entire post basically... is it really necessary to color everybody's name and your dialogue too?]
Rayan smirked slightly upon Raxyce's declaration of being a mercenary. If you've seen one, you've seen 'em all, he thought. But then the stranger began to make eyes at Dysis. Rayan's eyes drew narrow.
"Her name is Dysis," he interjected. Rayan placed one hand on Dysis' shoulder and gently siddled her to the side, so that he could face Raxyce directly and break off his staring at her. Rayan's face appeared stoic. "Nice introductory speech. I'd still like to know why you're here. Did you come for weaponry and information, or to take up space?"

Raxyce inwardly laughed and thought Ok, loverboy you've obviously taken that step that happens and it's fine with me if you want to be protective of your women, because you will fall like a dog when you see MY woman.
"Alright, well I'm here actually to see if you might be interested in a job... you see my partner has been missing for almost a month now and it's important that I find her... I'm willing to pay you up to 500,000 Zethar just to take on the job. However the only catch is that of course you'll be working alongside me and I may take side-jobs as well; with those I figure we could split the profit, well say 50/50." Raxyce said, as he smiled and looked back at Rayan, whom he turned to and crossed his arms.
"My ship is large enough for the two of us; if you desire to bring along any others, they will split the 500,000 starter with you or however so you choose; but I want YOU to lead my hired taskforce." Raxyce continued as he uncrossed his arms and pressed a button causing a holographic image of his spaceship to appear along with views of the inside.

Dysis was about to introduce herself to Raxyce, but Rayan had thoughtfully done the task for her. Not knowing what else to do, she gazed at the toys that hung around Rayan's shop. He called it a weapons shop, but she wasn't quite sure. She would have to ask him what weapons were later on. They surely didn't look like fun, but maybe if she knew what they were and how they were to be used, she would understand.
The flickering of Raxyce's hologram caught her eye, and brought her attention back to him. Curious, she poked it with one of her delicate fingers. She closed one eye afraid that it might shock her, but nothing happened. The image fazed a bit, but it was harmless. Delighted, Dysis waved her hand through it watching the hologram disappear only to reappear just as quickly.
Outside the shop, the sun was slowly setting as it emitted vibrant colors into the sky. With that, the temperatures began to cool down. As Dysis continued to wave her hand through the hologram, a cyclone of white fabric suddenly appeared around her. When it appeared, Dysis withdrew her hand and gave a helpless smile as if to apologize to those around her. The cyclone lasted only a few brief seconds before disappearing. Dysis's original gown reappeared on her body. Brushing her hands to smooth away the nonexistant wrinkles, Dysis sweatdropped.
Although it was always a slight hassel whenever her dress changed, she was always reminded of one very important thing. The sunset. Sweeping her dress into a low curtsey, Dysis excused herself.
"Forgive me for a brief moment."
With that Dysis fled out of the store. As soon as her foot was out the door, her wings expanded and she soared into the sky just to catch the last glimpse of the sunset. The combination of the setting sun, the stars peeking out, and the glittering city lights was enough to have Dysis want to stay up in the sky the entire night. But Rayan and his guests were still in his shop. Perhaps there would be no harm in just staying up here for a few minutes more.
Dysis sighed a happy sigh as she reminisced about her home, Avari. She wondered how her family was, her friends, and just everybody. They would have loved this planet too if they were here. There was a small longing to somehow fly back, but she knew there was no possible way to do that.
