The shape-shifter is dead, both of the females torn and the human?? heh.... such folly. Renia muses, letting her thoughts float into Cathyne's mind as requested. She didn't mind his threats and merely stayed in teh casual posistion she was on the rooftops.
"My Lords and Ladies!" Renia rallies out all of a sudden, letting her presence to be finally known to those who did not figure it out yet. "I do believe you all have 8 minutes left, yes?"

(whoo hoo hhoo much has happened, hasn't it! By the way, good ending Mequidra. But here comes Kruck! : Kruck strode down the sidewalk on his way to the hanger. But, suddenly, he sensed something was wrong. He looked behind him quickly. To his dismay, neither Mequidra nor Gen were following him. d**n....It must have been that foul creature, Darkumbra, he decided. But Kruck, instead of turning back, broke into a jog to the hanger. But then he stopped; he could not leave his comrades. He had an idea. A small grin played on his lips as he sprinted the final distance to the hanger. He leapt up into the open cockpit of his speeder, instantly turning the ignition. He turned the speeder to where he had been just 5 minutes ago, and flew. He flew over the streets; few people were there and those who were didn't even bother to look up. Finally, he arrived at his destination only to be met with shock. He looked down upon the people. There was Mequidra, dead. Kathryn was hurt; Darkumbra seemed to be too. His mind barely registered this. He let down his speeder gently onto the pavement. But then a odd looking person stood up on a nearby rooftop and spoke; Kruck could not believe his ears! The person knew about the mines, but how? Yet, it was right, except 7 minutes were left now. Kruck knelt beside his fallen comrade. Pain peirced through him; he and mequidra had been through so much together. "Mequidra..." A single teardrop splattered onto the pavement. Kruck then got up and turned to his ship, regaining his composure. He started towards his speeder when he saw Gen! "Gen?!" Kruck looked at her; his thoughts suddenly cleared. "We have to get out of here, fast." Kruck hopped into his speeder. "Get in!"

The spirit possessing DarkUmbra had missed its first shot. No matter. But wait, there was a new threat. He shrugged off the shells like nothing, and then focused his energies, and blasted Cythen, with the same force of the bolt that had been aimed at Kruck.
But. . . after firing the shot, the creature lost control. DarkUmbra regained power over his body, and as he did, he landed on the ground by Kathryn and the emotions came surging back. The power once within him flowed out, around everything. But that was his only hope of saving Kathryn. He focused all of his rage, all of his sadness, and tried to contain the power enough to channel it all through Kathryn's corpse. He succeeded, however wondered if being infused with the ultimate power of the shadows would permanently alter Kathryn's physical being. . .

Cethyn heard the telepathic message from Renia as he fiinished emptying his magazine at DarkUmbra. Moments later he heard her spoken cry and became confused, curious as to what "8 minutes" referred to.
Nonetheless, as he looked on at the shadow being in the sky, and at the same time tried to reload his gun as fast as possible, he saw the being turn towards him and begin charging energy. He saw the bolt as it flew towards him, streaking unneringly forward. Abandoning the pursuit of reloading his pistol, he cast it aside and dove, his superhuman reflexes kicking in. Nevertheless, though he managed to get his vitals out of the direct line of the blast, his legs remained in the line of fire just long enough to be annihalated by the massive energies.
Pain blasted through Cethyn's mind, intense, burning agony. Alien screeching, his cries of agony, rent the air as he writhed on the ground uncontrollably, all four arms flailing wildly. Oozing from the stumps that remained of his legs, greenish blood began pooling underneath his prone body. In the back of his mind, the part that remained logical, calculating, and annalytical, Cethyn was confused. Never before had he encountered pain; always before, whenever he had been injured however severely, the Overseer had forced him to ignore it, had prevented him from feeling the pain. Now he finally realized that he was truly alone, that the Overseer was gone. 'I...I am my own being...not a collective...' This revolutionary thought, insane as it was, was the last thing he was able to think before pain overrode conscous thought. Everything went black.

[Suddenly, DP jumps in and starts to role play! Mwahahaha, you cannot stop me!]
There. All set.
Rayan shut the cargo latch to his airship, having fully loaded it with his shipment and weaponry. He walked slowly back to the cockpit quarters of his airship. How mundane all this is. I'm tired of this meaningless life I live. Going from town to town, selling weapons to possible murderers and warmongerers...
Rayan seated himself, and grabbed hold of the controls. Then the screen in front of him lit up.
"What the-" Rayan said, looking the bright flashing red lights.
The sensors have picked up something. What could it be?
Rayan examined the flashing screen in front of him closely. His heart began to race, and his forehead pounded furiously. Fear seemed to control him, beyond his ability to fight it.
Someone's baited the entire city with mines! But who? How? Why?
Rayan tapped into his airship's database, looking to find out what kind of mines they were. He had stored information on every weapon he had ever come across in the data center of his airship, though he had never really needed to look up the information before. But now, Rayan was thankful that he had spent those hours past filling in this data...for he knew that it held his future.
"HOLY PLASMA SHARDS!!!" Rayan screamed aloud. ...I know what those mines are! They are the dreaded Nebula Grafex35X models...Timed mines that don't even tick...yet so powerful, they can shred this whole city to bits! They bend matter around them into violent, liquidic frequencies that deflect off one another...meaning...
Rayan looked at the great towering building of the city, and swallowed hard. ...meaning the mines will turn all the buildings of the city into a giant energy ripple, and like a wave in a pond, it will expand until all this is destroyed...
"Rayan, you fool! Why did you wish for something so drastic?"
Attempting to calm himself, Rayan began to think of a plan to quell the desperate situation he found himself in. Rayan, you can't just do nothing. Find out when the mines will detonate. Rayan told himself.
He sat down, and looked at the screen again... Five minutes?! EGAD!!!
Rayan considered firing up the engines of his airship. It was fast enough that he could leave the entire vicinity in two minutes, at most. But he kept himself from pressing the lever.
I got it! I can stop the bombs from breaking Hell loose...
Rayan pulled out a nifty, high-tech device out from a storage hatch in the cockpit. He pressed its buttons at a furious pace, until a green light lit up from its monitor, and he heard a beep.
Rayan breathed out heavily. I reset the timers on the mines...They won't blow for an hour. But I must find where they are planted, and diffuse them.
Rayan got out of his airship holding his device, which he cluthed onto dearly. He was using it in order to track the signal of the mines.
Unbelievable...I figured out how to reset the timers...It really did pay to undergo all that explosives training back at the academy in Nicari...

Boku watched as everything unfolded. He puuled out his uzies and jumped behind a building to try and find out what was going on when he senced something next to him. He looked down and there not three feet away was a mine.
I got to get the hell outta here, but every one eles here that is uncountious or just imobilized will die.....I take them with me.
Boku sild one of his uzies in it's hollster and ran for Chetyn, he spead his wing as he graabed him and threwhim over his shoulder so theat he could carry him . He glaced over at the other man, and relizing he was dead, leaped up into the air, and flew, surprizingly fast for haveing all Cethyn's dead weight on his shoulder to safty.
It took only seconds to get far anough away to excape the explotion. He landed and set Cethyn on the ground. He looked back to the city.
I wounder if anyone is still alive? I guess i better check huh.
Boku flew once more back to the streets and landed near a second building. Boku poked his head around the building to see Kruck, "YOU!" He yell at him, "YOUR THE ONE WHO PLANTED THOUGHS MINES," he yelled jumping around the corner firing. "YOUR NOT GOING TO GET AWAY WITH THIS." As Boku yelled he transformed into his second form.
The empty clips of the guns fell to the ground steaming, as he jumped back into cover to reload. His giant hands barly fit on the guns anymore. He looked around the corner angain and slid two more fresh clips into his steaming weapons.

They gotta be around here somewhere... Rayan thought as he searched for the mines with his tracking sensor.
A soft, calm easterly breeze swept across his face. Rayan felt much calmer now that he had reset the detonation time on the mines. All his anxiety seemed to drift away with the wind as it swirled about him and blew the bangs of his soft, blue hair to one side.
One of them is very close...
Rayan turned the corner of a building and saw a small disc-shaped device planted to the side of the structure.
I found one! I'd better take great care to disarm it.
Rayan crept up to it, like a mouse playing run away with a cat, until he stood over it. He detached the mine from the side of the building with his hands. Rayan took out his blessed blade, which he always kept by his side, and began to pry it open. He took the utmost care with it, however, knowing that if he opened it the wrong way, it would explode as a defense reaction against diffusion.
He cracked the top of the mine off, and looked inside it. Wires were everywhere, thick as jungle greenery. In the center was tiny spherical object about one cubic inch big.
That's what's making it tick...or rather, what's making it NOT tick. Rayan thought. If I detach the wires, the Nebula Core won't have the energy supply it needs to start a chain reaction and blow the whole city to kingdom come. I just have to make sure I clip the right wire...
Rayan looked closely at the incredibly complex and intricate array of wirework. As he studied the wires, he thought to himself about which one was the fuse.
Let's see here...Green...nope. Orange...nope. Red...Yellow...Blue...man, there sure are a lotta wires...Ah! Here it is!
Rayan grabbed hold of the purple set of wires and took his sword in his other hand. Slowly, he prepared to cut the wires.
I must be crazy, working with a live bomb like this without even using the proper tools. Oh well...I just hope I don't set anything off...
With a deep breath, Rayan thrust the tip of his blade into the purple wires, and snapped them in two. He flinched, expecting it to blow up in his face. But after a few seconds, he relaxed, seeing that it did not.
"Oi Vey...that was too close," Rayan said to himself, relieved that the mine was taken care of. He slapped his face with the palm of his hand.
"Stupid me...there's still half a dozen left to go." Rayan cursed his luck, and with a furrowed and greatly dissatisfied look plastered to his face, he continued to roam the streets of the great floating city Puralgatha, in search of the other Nebula mines...
Man, I'm not even getting paid for this. What a rip off.

Boku glance around the corner again ready to fire when he saw a mna defusing one of the mines. He looked around and dash towards the man. He dove behind the building and rolled over to the man, "Who are you, and what are you thinking?" He said in a deep voice. He looked at the defused mine and then back up at him, "well apparitly you are not on Krucks side." He looked around the corner again then back to the man, "Hey i have and idea, you ran to the next mine over there, and i'll cover you."
Boku looked around trying to see if he could sence and more mines around the city. "Oh by the way my name is BokunetSuMaro, just call me Boku. Don't worry about my apperance i change to this when i get mad."
He looked around the corner again, "Ok now is our chance. Ill lay down some cover fire and you run you ass off to the next mine." He looked at the man once more, "Go!" Boku jumped around the corner and started to fire at Kruck and the people with him.
One steaming empty cilp droped then the second. His gun steamed in the cool wind as he reloaded.

((It's okay; we can have two little sub-threads . . . or is it three at this point? Anyways, we can have them on this same thread.))
A sharp inhilation of breath rang out from the fallen girl's lips as her normally cerulean eyes shot open, and were almost possesed by a silver-white glow. Pain exploded through her body, seeming to come from the wound in her shoulder, but she wasn't sure.
Oh gods . . . pain . . .
It was a feeling unlike anything that she had ever felt before. Yes, it burned with all the fury of the five hells, but there was also a sort of . . . tenderness. The mage reached out with her mind, trying to figure out what was going on.
Dead. Mourning. Hurry. Destroying. More time . . . power. Too much power . . .
She needed to leave if she was to live through the night. But that, in itself, was a choice. And a tricky one at that.
No . . . too much . . . go back to the dark place, Kathryn. You can be safe there . . .
It was an internal debate. To live or to die. To fight or to retreat. To love or to mourn . . . It was all too much. The silver sheen that her eyes had taken on faded, and Kathryn's humanity shone through the mask that she tried to keep. A single tear slipped down her cheek as psy messages were attacking her mind all at once. There was so much hurt already present that night.
And it was only going to get worse.

(Kathryn is Gen you fool)
Renia takes to her feet, temptation to leave the devients to their destruction. However something caught her intresst in a shape of a flying ship and curious eyes watched as it landed, Rayan stepping out.
It felt like a twinge of hatred, her mind snapping with fury at the sight of that man!
RENIMS ENEMY!!!
Nothing would destract her now, even the mines that poised a great threat to them all. Her vengence would be quenched, her blade would drink the blood of Rayan Stigar!
(ooooo!! this is getting exciting ^^)

Slowly, Cethyn reawakened, the darkness sliding away. Agony greeted him anew, and he screamed again before managing to get control of himself. Quivering uncontrollably from the stress of ignoring the burning pain, Cethyn looked about confusedly, trying to remember where he was and failing. He was not in the alley way with DarkUmbra and the others anymore, but lying on the ground some distance from the city of Puralgatha. How had he gotten there?
Reigning in logical thought, Cethyn realized that he needed to staunch the flow of verdant blood from his wounds, then go somewhere to heal--his legs would regrow given time--and repair his torn skin-suit, which was vital to his survival. He also needed a new trench coat and new guns. First things first; he tore the sleeves of his trench coat into long strips and wrapped up the stubs that remained of his legs, preventing more blood from oozing forth. Then he thought for a while on where to go, deciding after careful deliberation on his crashed vessel outside of Dathomir. It would be a long journey, but his starship was the only place with everything he needed, and the length of the voyage would allow time to reflect on his new individuality.
Adamantly determined, Cethyn pulled himself up on his four arms and began to slowly drag himself across the ground, ignoring the sharp pain issuing from his wounds. 'We . . . no, I . . . will make it,' he thought to himself. He left behind himself a most bizarre trail, characterized further by the moisture of the blood that managed somehow to ooze through his wounds' bindings.

Mellira's eyes fluttered, too, but unconciousness was too great. It protected from the pain of her injury. An injury she would surely feel all her life, if she lived past this day.
