Rayan heard his friend, but his situation was far worse than his friend realized. The demonic blade began to emit a black aura as its influence on Rayan grew. Rayan slowly began to reach for the blade against his will…he heard it calling to him as he drew nearer…
“Come, Rayan. You said yourself that your life holds no purpose. Now I will choose your purpose for you!”
“No…you…won’t…” Rayan choked out, gritting his teeth as he was drawn further towards the demonic sword. Suddenly, his hand thrust forward and grabbed hold of the blade; Rayan couldn’t hold back anymore. Sweat dripped down his face and Rayan gazed angrily at the sword in his hand as it began to mock him.
“I’m so sorry, Rayan. I must be hurting you. Yes! I know your past, Rayan. Allow me to show you it again!”
Rayan’s eyes widened in fear as the demon sword flashed images of his past through his mind. Suddenly, he was back in Ria, facing the demented Sarmir in battle after the destruction of Sector 3. Everything slowed down as the little man aimed his Quad Cannon at Rayan and fired. A bright yellow beam shot out and slammed into his chest. Rayan reeled back pain. He looked down and saw the damage the bio blast had done to him; the wound glowed a sickening yellow, pulsing, beating, tearing at his flesh…
“The evil wound you received from another will be your undoing now! Prepare yourself to be my new victim!”
Rayan snapped himself out of the daunting dream and glared hatefully at the accursed blade. “Eerrrr-RAH!” he yelled, throwing the sword into the air. He reached pulled his dual plasma auto rifles and fired at the blade, juggling it the air with plasma blasts. After riddling the demonic blade full for a whole minute, Rayan ceased firing and let the blade fall to the ground with a high pitched chime. Still breathing heavily, he lowered his smoking guns. Rayan thought he had won, but the accursed black blade would not yield so willingly.
“Fool. The wound you received is pure energy. Do you not know your own abilities? Though you can absorb energy, you don’t even realize it. Did you forget that I can use your evil wound to gain your ability?”
Rayan gave a stifled cry as he stumbled from the pain in his chest. His chest began to pulse in and out, making the most repulsive sucking sound each time it expanded and contracted.
[glow=yellow,2,000]Kiii-oouu-EEE-kiou… Kiii-oouu-EEE-kiou…[/glow]
Rayan clutched at his chest again, but was helpless to stop it. The evil blade mocked him again. “I am going to destroy you with your own power, Rayan Stiger!” Rayan felt like he was going to explode. His chest began to vibrate violently as the evil magic from the sword shone towards him. The beating and the pace became much quicker now. [glow=yellow,2,000]Kii-ou-EEE-kiou kii-ou-E-kiou kii-ou-EE-kiou…[/glow]
Rayan’s breathing became so rapid that he thought his lungs would burst. Then he let out a terrifying yell as his chest burst open. Rayan’s shirt tore apart as a cursed yellow glow shot out of the wound in his chest. It was a repulsive, vibrating, yellow deformity that pumped like a heart. The wound now beat at a furious pace.
[glow=yellow,2,000]Ki-ou-EEE ki-ou-EEE ki-ou-EEE ki-ou-EEE ki-ou-EEE ki-ou-EEE…[/glow]
Rayan collapsed to the floor, strangled by his evil wound. His body twitched slightly as the blade gleamed triumphantly at him. “Now, your spirit is mine!” The demonic blade unleashed a massive cloud of dark energy at Rayan’s prostate form. Its lust poured out into its evil as it attempted to take Rayan over.
Adriel, who was on the other side of the room, had been leaning up against Rayan’s airship the entire time, watching as the desperate situation unfolded. At this moment, he dashed across the room and stood between Rayan and the dark aura. A determined look was on his face as he stood defiantly before the dark magic surging towards him. Just before the magic crashed upon him like the waves of an angry ocean, Adriel pulled out his staff from his red robe and spun it in front of him.
[glow=white,2,600]“Restoretha!”[/glow]
White magic poured out of the staff in the shape of a cross and ripped through the dark energy, dissipating the dark waves on contact. The glowing white cross split apart and surged into the dark blade. It shrieked as it was engulfed by white magic. It quivered violently one final time before it was silenced.
Adriel turned and knelt down beside Rayan. He put his hand over the pulsing wound, then put his ear to Rayan’s lips. After a few moments of feeling and listening, Adriel sat up. “He’ll be fine. Master Mattus, would you be so kind as to remove that evil blade from his presence? I fear that another encounter with its wicked magic might prove more than he can handle.”
Adriel pulled out some bandages and wrapped them around Rayan’s chest and back, leaning Rayan’s head against his lap as he worked. When he finished, he gently laid Rayan down on the ground and stood up. He sighed slightly, relieved that Rayan was alive, and turned towards Aran and the others.
“Oh, yes. I had quite forgotten to introduce myself to you all. I am Adriel, a wandering mage, taken into service by Master Rayan. It is my great pleasure to meet all of you; although, I do wish that our circumstances might have been more preferable…” Adriel smiled and bowed politely to each of them, bowing to Aran first to show her courtesy for being a lady.
“All Master Stiger needs now is to rest for a short while. That demon blade took a lot out of him. Master Mattus, would you please explain to me where you found that retched sword?” Adriel asked.

Aran had been standing away from the mess, watching wide-eyed as the scene unfolded. There were horrific images dancing in her mind and her pupils had dilated leaving none of her blue iris left to be seen. She felt a sharp pain in her own stomach as the light energy finally poured out of Rayan's tortured form. Her mouth was hanging in a distressed manner and she was completely unable to move. A solitary tear rolled down her left cheek for the pain he was going through was reflected in her own body.
She felt like fleeing. Like curling up in a ball and just letting the situation play out on its own. So long as she didn't have to do anything, it didn't matter. Not if others suffered. Not if everybody else were to be torn apart by this blinding pain as long as she herself were spared. The tear was followed by another and then another as they started coming more rapidly. The pain was absolutely unbearable, the intensity just so horrible that she just could not, for the life of her, handle for just one second longer.
Her gut felt as though it was going to split open and the contents be poured all over the floor. Scenes from her past were replaying themselves through her mind inescapably. She clenched her eyes shut which only succeeded in making the pain even more unbearable. She tried her hardest to not draw any attention to herself, and once the mess was all over, she managed to suppress her pain into one large gasp.
As the man bowed to her, she politely curtseyed back, turning her head away so that he wouldn't see her pain. She wiped the back of her hand across her face and tightened her grip on Matt's hand. She fixed her stare intently on Rayan's body, and after a moment of contemplation, felt obligated to help him. She reluctantly let go of Matt's hand and went over and knelt beside him. She placed a hand delicately on Rayan's shoulder and made her best attempt at white revival magic. It wouldn't be enough to bring a man back from the brink of death, but it should shorten the amount of time that he needed for resting considerably. That is, if it worked correctly.
The question was: how in the world would that blade be destroyed?

Seeing his friend in pain, Gai ran over to his side while shouting encouragement to his friend. "Rayan!!! Rayan!!! Fight it!! Whatever it is, you can beat it!! I'll help you if I must do it myself!! I'll be there for you!!!!! Come on!!"
I've got to get him as far away from that blade as possible. He must not touch that blade again or something horrible will happen. he thought to himself as he heard his friend gasping in pain. Gai attempted to swipe the blade from Matt's hands, but Matt withheld it from him. After glaring at him for a moment, he turned his attention back to his friend Rayan.
"Hold on Rayan, I'm taking you somewhere safe. After I get you there, I'll get the others to come with me to see you." he said as he walked through the doors of a hotel, slaping down enough money for Rayan and everyone else to stay for a few nights.
"Should I call someone to take care of this gentleman?" asked the bellboy when they had gotten up to the room and Rayan was lying on the bed."No." he said flatly."i'll treat him in due time. Now he just needs rest. I'll be back in a little while."

As Gai tried to wrench the blade from Matt's hand, Matt stopped him and pushed him away. He glared at him.
"No one touches this blade but me....you hear that?"
He then looked back at Adriel.
"And where I got this sword is of no importance to you."
He looked compassionately at Aran not wanting the others to know that it was her who had brought it into this world.
"Oh and what is up with the name Adriel? It sounds like a girl's name man....I think ill call you Adrian...cause Adriel is just creepy."
He watched the others go into the hotel, but he stayed out and sat down at a bench. He patted the sword at his belt.
"I can't take this in there....I might kill Rayan..."
He looked at Aran wondering aloud.
"What should I do?"

D sat up against the wall when he awoke from his brief nap, and noticed that the warehouse was vancant save himself. He knew not why no one was there, but he didnt care. D rose to his feet, grabbed his sword slung it over his back and headed for the entrence of the building. D gave a shrill wistle and his noble steed came galloping from around the corner. In one smooth movement D caught the saddle as the horse was dashing by, and gracefully mounted.
D was off to explore the city he was in, not far from the warehouse he noticed Matt and Aran, but he kept galloping on knowing it wouldnt be the most helpful thing for him to see two lovers interacting with each other, and also, he didnt want to bother them. So D continued. If YOU saw a man with a big brimmed black hat, a long wavy dark brown haired man in black tight clothes and a heavy night-black cape you might be a little suspicious. And it would probably do you well to be suspicious of this creature, but it was the norm in this town, which put everyone at the potential risk to be a victim.
D led his horse in a gentle trot through the streets, knowing that what he was doing would only cause him trouble, however he continued his fateful trot through the streets. He felt like a moth being drawn to a flame, but still unable to change his corse of direction. He was looking at potential victims.
D was a Dunpeal Half Human, Half Vampire, and although he was only half vampire he still had a bloodlust for human blood. Finally, he spotted someone, a fair skinned girl with dark brown hair. D was not the type to go and aimlessly kill for blood, he was above that, however he did have to catch himself a couple times when he noticed that his mouth was instinctivly opening bearing his fangs.
He yearned for that delicious feeling. The soft pierce of the skin as his teeth sunk into a beings neck, the warm blood flowing into his mouth, he couldn't help himself, he was a vampire by nature.
D shook his head when these thoughts came into his mind, finally he decided to do one thing, and go for it. As of now he sat on his horse staring down at the fair lady, who had noticed him leering at her and froze.
The PERFECT victim, you know you want to, shes frozen in terror nows the time to strike... AHHH! SHUT UP!, I dont need blood, I can fight it.
The distrought dunpeal caught himself redhandedly thinking of this, and noticed that he was freaking the girl out. So he calmy wispered some words into the horses ears, and he was off in a flash out to the desert outside of town.
D was in distress, he fell from his horse onto his knees, and lifted his head to the sky. The poor creature thought of his father and mother, and hated the thought of himself, a dunpeal who was shunned by most humanity. His greif was almost unbearable, he suddenly remembered Matt and the love he shared with Aran. This only brought more pain to his heart, he could never love like that, it would only cause others the pain that D felt. He thought of his potential heirs, and how they would have to live the way D did, being feared and shunned, only to see the few they loved die off as they live on forevermore.
D finally got ahold of himself and lay down on his back, considering what to do next.

Adriel gently put his hand on Aran’s shoulder. He smiled subtly at her with compassion and kindness. “Please, milady Aranôlëien, don’t cry. You are weary enough as it is. Master Stiger is not as far gone as you think. He will be find in time.”
Adriel seemingly ignored Matt’s insulting joke directed at him and focused on helping Gai carry Rayan to the hotel. Suddenly, Rayan moved slightly as he was being carried. He was able to crack open his eyes just enough to see his friends around him, as well as Aran softly sobbing. He lacked the strength to say or do anything, so he simply shut his eyes again. Soon Rayan had been put comfortably in a hotel bed, and he slept peacefully and undisturbed at last. Adriel watched over him for a few minutes, and then walked outside the hotel to where Matt and Aran were seated on a bench.
“Rayan is doing quite well. He will be self-conscious again in a few hours. Until then, he will be in a drifting, weightless dream realm. But, as said before, he will indeed survive.”
Adriel smiled at Aran and Matt for a few seconds, desiring Aran to not be overly distressed over the incident. After a short while, he noticed Matt looking down at the evil blade that had caused all this pain to Rayan to begin with. He approached Matt and addressed him.
“Master Mattus, I understand your protective nature of that blade, but before, I was merely asking a question out of a desire to help you. I believe I know how to destroy that incarnation of evil forever. If you will listen to me, I will tell you.”

Acturis looked around in the room, he could see that it was pretty much desereted, now was the best time to go, unnoticed. Acturis started to leave, he paused, he didn't feel right just leaving. Acturis walked over to the desk and filled out an application with all the info need, and his cell phone number, then turned away from the desk. Acturis would check back later to see if Rayan was ok, he went to pick up his stuff. "Strange...why would I suddenly decide to go back to being a mercanary?? After all thats happened...heh, I've got too soft a heart..."
Acturis threw the bag over his shoulder again and walked out of the builing with a smile on his face. The sun was shining brightly, it was going to be a new day for him, a better one he hoped...Acturis set out to find a place to put his stuff in, then a place where he could find something to do...

Matt glared at Adriel. He waved him off.
"Adrien....Adriel...Arial..whoever you are. Girly man! Just drop it ok...."
He then looked towards the ground and avoided eye contact as he watched D ride off...into the darkness. He was a strange character. He looked towards Aran and then towards Adriel. By then he was dizzy so he returned his gaze to the ground.
"Where should you and me stay Aran?...do you think its safe to stay in there?"

D stood up in the desert sand, and took one final glance outwards towards the endless sea of sand. This time of thinking had alowed him to make some key desicions.
I know that someday the people I now love will pass away, and I will be left alone again. But should that truth have such power over me to make me grow tuely cold towards others in my heart? No, just because I might lose them, doesn't mean I can't enjoy their presence, even if the rest of the world hates me.
D mounted his charger and made his way back into the city, passing by the lady he had terrorized earlier. As D approached the young lady he tipped his hat and started to apologize for his earlier behavior. However his kind gesture was rewarded with a blood curdeling shriek, followed by,
"Its a dunpeal! A freak, I saw his fangs, he almost bit me! None of you are safe!"
D sat on his mount with his head down in shame, he knew what the reaction would be, everyone would run to shelter and stare at D like he was a deamon. D concluded that it was useless trying to be nice to these people, so D went on to search for some of the mercenarys.
He desperatly needed someone to talk to, and to hang out with. This was quite the change from about two hours ago, yes D still was antisocial, but decided it would be good to be a bit more friendly towards others.
He started searching for Matt, who he had seen with Aran and thought of as a man who could help him, Matt was a worthy opponent in battle which meant he could probably handle other things well. Besides Matt, and Aran were the only ones who seemed to not be at the hotel.
D quickly spotted the two, conversing with Adriel, his heart started beating a bit faster. He didnt really know how to act around others, it was such a long time since he had a friend to talk to. D trotted up to the people and abruptley asked
[glow=silver,2,300]"Hello Mattus, do you know when we're actually going to get some action round here?"[/glow]
(Quite the mouthful for this fellow, but it was a feeble attempt to start a conversation about somthing important.)

Adriel’s face turned serious at Matt’s unconcerned reply. “You do not know how serious this situation is, Matt. You clearly saw what it did to Rayan. What do you think would happen if that evil blade were to somehow get into the wrong hands? Wisdom would tell you to destroy it as soon as possible. But I cannot force you to any decision; it must be your own.”
Adriel turned around and began walking towards the hotel. “I shall check on Rayan now. Reconsider your decision, Master Matt.” With that, Adriel walked briskly in the direction of the hotel, leaving Matt, Aran and D to themselves.
Matt is not aware of whom he will be facing shortly. His self confidence may prove deleterious Adriel thought as he walked into the hotel. The situation is far more serious than any of them realize. Fyia lies within a steep balance, yet none of them know of it.

[coming from DS]
Karunii felt himself sail through a rift in space. He twirled about uncontrollably through the brightly colored void. He continued to pummel further and further through emptiness…
As all whirled about him in a stream of blurry colors, a red blur began to approach him from off in the distance. Soon, the blur had become recognizable- it was the same figure Karunii had seen in his past dream. His flaming red robe seemed more brilliant than before, and his features equally gentle. Karunii looked into his bright, dazzling eyes that seemed to draw him in like a moth to a brilliant, glowing flame. He smiled gently at Karunii, and spoke these words:
“It is now time for you to learn your true calling, Karunii. You have been summoned to another world. May blessings be upon you in Fyia…”
Karunii glanced back and saw the dark world of Sparka begin to fade away. Before him approached a bright, blue planet, where the portal was taking him to. Then, everything around him faded into blackness, and Karunii remembered nothing more.
================= The gateway from the mysterious realm of dreams formed in the middle of Dathomir City in the world of Fyia. Karunii’s limp body was flung out of the time continuum and unto the ground as he emerged from the blurry land of visions. Karunii lay motionless on the desert sand. His eyes were still shut after sailing through the void. After a few moments, Karunii’s eyes fluttered open. He looked about him with blurred vision. After a few seconds, everything came into focus. Karunii’s mouth hung agape slightly as he observed a strange, foreign world…
Is this the realm I was called to? That would explain the rift…but what was I called here for? Where IS ‘here?’ …And…did Tira come with me?

Tira was crouched on the sand a few feet away from Karunii. She looked around in pure disgust. They were in no doubt in some sort of desert city. The sun was blaring down on them...it erased the shadows that she dwelled in.
Perfect...just...perfect...
Her eyes turned towards Karunii who still seemed to be somewhat dazed. Her hands made a small motion that called any shadows to her. Black whispy like things began to flow smoothly across the hot sand and began to cloak Tira. These shadows would give her the darkness that the sun was depriving her of. Her eyes narrowed in a cold glare as she looked cautiously around her new surroundings while making her way towards Karunii.
There had better be a damn good reason for why I'm here...
Tira's slender fingers slid over her roll over wire that hung limply at her side. It looked only like harmless thread, but those that she fought knew better...it was deadly. She towered over Karunii's sitting figure on the sand.
"I'm still here, Karunii..."
She could not say anymore because she was seething with hate and annoyance as to where they landed. Without warning, she threw up her hands. A dark cloud blossomed in the sky...looking somewaht like an ominous storm cloud...and blocked out the sun. Temporarily at least.

Karunii’s eyes gleamed brightly as the brilliant rays of the sun met his gaze. The gorgeous shine of the afternoon sun held him in awe; Karunii had never seen the sun before. It had always been night in Sparka ever since he arrived there. He found it deeply stimulating to experience something such as this. Karunii’s gaze remained fixated upon this new wonder for quite a while, until the sound of Tira’s voice made him look away.
“Tira! We made it! Though I haven’t got a clue as to where we are…”
Karunii watched in amazement as Tira created a shroud of darkness around her by blocking out the sun with dark clouds. Karunii stepped back out into the sunlight to feel the warmth of the sun’s rays. Though Tira did not like the light, Karunii had utterly fallen in love with the beauty and warmth of day. He sighed contentedly as he gazed up in wonder at the clearness of the infinite sky… Karunii turned around as he was interrupted by a voice coming from behind him.
“Why hello there! How do you do?” Adriel said as he approached Karunii. “It certainly isn’t very often that we get visitors from another realm by a twist in space continuum!” he said in a cheerful and somewhat playful tone.
Karunii looked up at the tall mage whose bright red colors seemed to make him stand out. Adriel extended his hand to him warmly, to which Karunii hesitantly reached out his own hand. They shook hands warmly, though Karunii’s grip was much weaker on Adriel’s than the mage’s was on him. After a moment, Karunii said, “Um…excuse me, sir…but could you tell me who you are, and where my friend Tira and I are? We kinda got dragged here through space…I don’t really know what happened.”
Adriel smiled brightly at the young boy and patted his head softly. He stooped down slightly so that he was at eye level with Karunii. “I am Adriel, a wandering mage. You are in the world of Fyia, as is your friend. Now if you would, kindly give me your own name.”
“…Me? Oh, I’m Karunii.”
Karunii looked at his surrounding once more, and noticed several other people nearby. A young woman and a young man sitting on a bench together, holding hands, and a dark looking man with a classy hat.
“Um…hey Adriel? Who are they?”
“Who are they? Why don’t you ask them yourself? You will get to know them much better that way. But first I think I would like to talk to your friend Tira.”
Karunii nodded, then smiled. He turned towards his friend and called for her. “Tira! I made a new friend already! Come on and meet somebody, Tira!”

Tira had been watching the mage approach Karunii, her hand rested on her roll of wire in case the mage would be a foe. Then again...to Tira...everybody except Karunii was her foe. As long as the mage showed no signs of aggression towards Karunii, she would not strike. And he did not. She was disappointed because she felt the need to kill to release the pent up frustration and hatred crescendoing within her. Her eyes were almost completly black now as she watched the mage, Adriel, and Karunii. A new wave of enmity rushed into her when Karunii had given the stranger her name.
When Karunii beckoned her, she did not move. She did not want to move. It was bad enough that she was in this wretched place already. She would not move...not even for Karunii. Darkness radiated from her, turning the hot air around her cold.
They'll have to come to me; I refuse to move for anybody.
Tira moved her hand up to the tip of her hat and removed it. Her dark crimson red hair tumbled out, and although it was messy it was still amazingly beautiful. She had to readjust her hat for it had come slightly out of place sometime during the portal. She gathered up her hair once again, and tucked it under her hat letting a few messy strands slip out. The cold air and shadows that surrounded her had calmed her down very slightly. The darkness that pulsed from her body began to collect back into her. Now that she was calm, she could address Karunii again.
"That's nice for you."
Tira was referring to Karunii's new found friend. She however did not plan to extend her own circle of companions outside of Karunii.

D noticed the comotion that was being caused by the newcomers and decided the mission could wait a little. He decided to go over to these strangers and intoduce himself to them.
Oh this is so stupid, why do the things that people enjoy so much have to be a nusince to me? Ok ok...take another step, and another, alright almost there, now.... take a deep breathe and...
[glow=silver,2,300] Hello............. So ..... Karunii was it. Thats a cool name.[/glow] (-.-)(doh!) D blurted out in a melencholie voice.
D than looked past this man and directly at Tira and looked pleasingly at the dark cloud she had formed and her apparent hate for the sun.
Now we're talkin, finally someone else who cant stand the sun. ( D of course had a nice big hat to cover his face from the sun and his black clothes and black cape.)
D felt like a loser as his feeble attempt to converse with someone backfired and just caused him some embarrasment.
D wouldve tried to go talk to the young lady, but he thought "what if i were in her shoes, would I want someone to talk to me?" OF COURSE HE WOULDNT! so he didnt, instead he just hopped back onto his horse and trotted back towards the bench to try to get some information from Matt about when they were actually gonna get some action.
