-------------------------------- "Answer me!"
Mint glared at the dark stranger with her piercing red eyes. The continuously evaporating wisps of her spirit turned slightly darker as she became impatient. Mint waited for the man to tell her straight out, but he gave her no response. She repeated her question. "What has daddy done to earn him to title of "God of Death?"
The man smirked slightly, and looked at her closely. He tipped his hat slightly against the downpour of the rain, and turned his gaze down to Kurai, who was still motionless. He knelt down beside him and placed his hand gently on Kurai's shoulder. Finally, he spoke.
"You wish to know the truth, do you not?" he asked. Mint, confused, shrugged and gave him a look that meant to say "get on with it." The man laughed softly to himself before he stood up and faced Mint again. "Then I shall take you and your father to where all shall be revealed to you." Suddenly, another black, glistening aura formed from his hand, and grew into a large black sphere, which encompassed both Mint and Kurai. Mint shrieked, and began pounding against the solid sphere she found herself trapped inside. But it was all to no avail; the world around her began to reel and fade into darkness. Her spirit form began to feel suddenly very heavy, and she collapsed, exhausted from the strain. The dark aura continued to engulf her and Kurai, and slowly shrink, until it disappeared completely.
When Mint’s eyes fluttered open, found herself in a cave of some sort; the walls were a darkish gray-black color, and gave off an eerie red glow. She glanced about to see if her father was with her, and found him lying about twenty feet away, still unconscious. Suddenly, Mint heard footsteps approaching her. She looked up, and before her stood the man in the black trench coat she had last seen before passing out. He did not speak to her. Mint became furious at the darkly-garbed stranger, and said, “Just who are you, and where did you take us?!”
He remained silent and motionless for a few moments longer. Then at last he said, “You demand of me my name…very well.” He whipped off his hat and trench coat and cast them aside. Mint gazed at him; He possessed jet black hair, which was slicked back on top, and went down to his neck in thin, curly strands. His eyes were a dark bluish-black, with a thin, red iris. He wore his own personal devil attire: dark red robe-like clothing with black stripes, and black boots with short spikes on the toe. With his dramatic transformation complete, he spoke again.
“I am Oni-Takari, a devil in service to Satan himself.”

Mint was drawn aback, surprised and even slightly impressed. But she quickly regained her former rage and replied, “Well…being a devil is joyous and wonderful and all that, but…where the heck are we?!”
He approached her with an amused look, saying, “I have brought you and your father Kurai to the place where devils gather in the physical realm.”
“Devils gather here?” Mint asked. “Why would they do that? Is this some sort of club house or something? Why did you bring my father and I here?”
“Because your father has been chosen to become the Shinigami, remember?”
Mint was on the verge of yelling. “But what has my father done to deserve such a title?! I already told you, all he does is steal hot dogs, get drunk and get beaten up by random chicks he meets on the street!”
Takari turned and took several steps, the echoes of which resounded many times. After a few silent moments, he replied to her. “Surely you remember Oni-Aoshi.”
Mint looked at him awkwardly. “Of course I remember Aoshi… he was in Ria, causing much destruction, until he was defeated. What does he have to do with anything?"
Takari slowly turned around and looked at Mint again. "Allow me to give you revelation...I'm certain you know that Aoshi was a devil before he changed his ways. Devils like to make people suffer, because they know that God will one day damn them eternally for rebelling against him before the foundation of the universe. Normally, we only do what Satan tells us to do- we follow his orders, and nothing more. Anything else, and he executes strict correction. However, Aoshi, Satan's son, did not follow that code. He went about destroying whatever he pleased, for no reason at all, except for his own pleasure. He was a hero to the other devils. They soon began to plan aiding him in the destruction of Ria.
“But then he was defeated, and he changed his ways. He began attempting to find forgiveness in God. This enraged the other devils. They hated him, because they could never seek forgiveness. God will not allow those he cast out of his kingdom back in- those that rebelled against him in the beginning are doomed to be damned, and cannot change their eternal state. Aoshi, however, was Satan's son; he was given a soul after the time of the great rebellion. Therefore, it is possible for him to become right with God. However, his transformation is incomplete...he is not righteous yet.
“Now the devils have agreed to execute a plan- they wish to raid and ravage Fyia, just as Aoshi did to Ria, without Satan's knowledge. Their intent is to cause as much destruction and pain to people as possible, as well as get revenge against Aoshi for forsaking his evil nature and seeking out God's forgiveness, and for being capable of being forgiven.
“This is where your father comes into play. Kurai has been chosen by them to become the Shinigami because of his desire for power. More importantly, he is able to do whatever he pleases without remorse, as long as he gets what he wants; therefore, he will be most useful in causing Fyia's destruction.”
Mint, for the first time since she had met Takari, was silent. Did her father really want this power so much that he would agree to destroy the planet to obtain it? A question came to her mind as she pondered over the matter.
“If…all that you said was true, and that you really are a devil…then why can’t you just go about destroying Fyia yourself? What makes you think that you need my father’s help?”
A playful smirk grew to Takari’s lips. “You are indeed full of questions…and good ones, at that. Why would I need assistance in leading this destruction? I am one of Satan’s more trusted servants, after all. I’ll tell you why. Although I am powerful, I am not nearly as powerful as Aoshi was. I am, however, much craftier than my former superior, which I intend to use to ensnare support for the attack on Fyia from devils and humans alike.”
At that moment, Kurai awakened, and gave a low groan as he came to. Mint rushed over to him and helped him up, but only succeeded in getting him up to one knee. He was apparently still woozy from his collapse earlier, and nearly fell back flat upon the ground. When he finally steadied himself, he said, “Where the hell am I?”
Takari smiled at him slightly and said, “Excellent. I have been waiting for you to regain consciousness for quite some time… Kurai, you are in the location where devils gather together in the physical realm. We wish to offer you an assignment, and a favorable one, at that.”
“Why would I want to help you?” Kurai growled, not in his best mood.
“Because we offer you supreme power…the power to do anything you please. We offer you the title of Shinigami.”
Kurai looked up at Takari for a moment, and then put his hand to his chin as he thought about it. Then he said, “Where do I sign?”
“Follow me. You must meet the others.” Takari answered. “We shall discuss this further in their company. They do, after all, have great expectations for you, Kurai…” Takari turned around and began to lead Kurai and Mint towards where the other devils were intended to meet him. Mint helped Kurai up to his feet and floated alongside him. She did not know whether to be worried or not, for her father had gotten into trouble with devils before, but Kurai had a confident, arrogant smile plastered to his lips.
After a short time, Takari stopped. “We’re here. They should meet us at any moment.”
“Daddy, are you sure that you want to be doing this?” Mint asked Kurai worriedly. Kurai turned to her with a fiery look.
“Of course I do. This is what I’ve always wanted.”

I didn't make Matt all that mean...just the ending part, and that was more intended to be authoritative firmness, not mean. But yes, I love my entrance for Matt. I try my hardest to rp everyone's characters as true to their personalities as possible. But yeah I'll make sure Matt is himself next time he makes an appearance...
I hope I do a good job on Kari and Gai, cuz they are in part 3... although Kari will be a little different than her normal serious straigh-laced self, but I explain why. Bah you'll just have to wait...
Anyway I spent much time on it today, and I think I'm like 30-50% done with part 3! Then it will be Alan's turn again! Go me!
