Townspeople hustled through the street, laden with supplies and goods from shopping. The quiet drone of people talking and bumping each other was silenced as a man came through the streets, clutching his stomach. He had an enormous hole in it, and he was bleeding badly. Spatters of blood dripped to the stone walkway, and he coughed blood up.
The people began to panic, gathering around him as he collapsed to the pavement. People were yelling "Help! Get a doctor!" and similar things, but no one came forward. The man's eyes slowly closed, and his breathing slowed.
Suddenly, a pillar of white light slammed down onto him, and the people jumped back. Quickly and surely, his injuries closed up and the blood disappeared. As the light faded, the man sat up and rubbed his head.
Astounded, the crowd gathered around the healed man and helped him to his feet. Each of them looked around for the person who had performed this miracle, but could see no one.
[glow=white,2,300]Hmm. Well, that's good.[/glow]
From atop a distant rooftop, Alexander lazily waved his hand. The white light returned to it and was sucked into his body. Satisfied, he closed his eyes, not noticing that he was slipping until he had fallen to the dirt.
[glow=white,2,300]"Ow."[/glow]
Standing up, the Intruil rubbed his head and looked around. Flaring his wings, he shook himself and began walking down the stones with no real direction in mind.

Keijina could be seen leaning against a wall, one foot on the ground, the other resting on a fallen barrel. A gloved hand grabbed her other arm, pulling the limbs close to her. An opaque silver cloak engulfed the kitsune in a languid embrace that only she could remove. Amber eyes watched the angel fall, but did nothing about it. She hadn't really been interested at all untill he decided to blast white light into a dying man and heal him. Compassion and love were new feelings to her and she rarely experienced them, so why would someone let those two little emotions drive them? Keijina's tounge stroked the fangs absently as she thought. There were endless amounts of things she could say and only thousands that she would, the problem was choosing the least offensive one. Even a kitsune, daring and sometimes stupid as they are, would not dare provoke a fight with such a strong magic user as this winged creature obviously was. She finally decided that thinking would only get her into trouble, and thus said the first thing that came. "That was nice of you."

Alexander stopped and swung around to face the creature, and was a bit taken aback by what he saw.
[glow=white,2,300]"Err? Oh, yes, right. That. Well, what else could I have done? The man would've died, and that would've been a waste. Not only that, it would've been sad."[/glow]
He looked at her a moment, trying to decide what forces of evolution could conspire to make a creature such as this. Of course, he'd thought about that regarding humans, too.
[glow=white,2,300]"If you don't mind my asking, who are you?"[/glow]

The kitsune looked at him, her eyes full of wonder and confusion. "I am Keijina." she said slowly, almost carefully. Her foot pressed off of the cold wall, launching her torpidly. She began to walk to wards the creature, still not knowing his name or why he was doing these things. "Why would his life be a waste? I'm sure he had done a lot of bad things, wouldn't it just have been better to leave him to die?" she asked curiously.

Alexander looked at Keijina in amazement.
[glow=white,2,300]"If you automatically assume everyone to be bad, then everyone can just die, and you're no better than the Relics! Just because they have made mistakes does not mean they should be condemned."[/glow]
He turned away, and looked at her sideways out of his left eye.
[glow=white,2,300]"I'm Alexander, by the way. If you wanted to know."[/glow]

Keijina cringed as he yelled. She hated it when people yelled at her. "I'm sorry, I was just wondering." she said timidly. She turned her head and bit her finger, resisting the urge to just run. She didn't like people to be mad at her. She was taught to be what other people wanted, offending them was just out of the question. "Are you an angel or something?" she asked, turning her head to indicate his white wings.

Alexander reached up absentmindedly and touched the halo floating above his head. Smiling, he looked at her.
[glow=white,2,300]"I'm sorry I got angry. That's not my job. In any case, I am an Intruil, but I am also of a class called Angel-Borns. To be more specific, an Angel of Life. So I guess I could be called an angel, of sorts . . .[/glow]
He looked at the girl carefully for a minute, and decided she was safe.
[glow=white,2,300]"Even I've never seen a creature quite like you . . . What are you, anyway?"[/glow]

Gloved hand scratched behind her ear, almost like a human. "I am a kitune, a fox spirit. I am not quite human, not quite fox. I am, however, more fox then human, I was raised being able to turn fully into a fox and be able to stay in that form forever. I was also raised to make everyone happy and never get anyone mad. Hard to do." she sighed. "Anyway... I am a friend, usually not an enemy...usually." She turned back to Alexander. Her hands cupped together making a bowl. Crimson lips blew into her hands, creating a small flame that quickly grew into a decent sized ball. Goose bumps appeared all along Keijina's arms, giving away the fact that she was cold. She shivered once and closed her hands, extinguishing the flame.

Alexander looked at the spirit, and felt a certain sadness within him. Something about her seemed off.
[glow=white,2,300]Something she's not telling me. I think the girl's life is harder than she lets on . . .
"Are you cold? Here, hold on a minute."[/glow]
Alexander bowed slightly, and a white glow emanated from him. The temperature between him and Keijina began to increase slightly.
[glow=white,2,300]"Any better . . .?"[/glow]

Keijina stopped shivering and smiled. "Much better, thank you. I don't deal with cold well." She looked into his eyes and tried to search for some sign of deception, but found none. What she did find was questioning. Something clicked in her brain and she saw that he knew she was hiding something. "Thank you for the heat." she said quietly. She didn't know how to act around him, it seemed as if he had no expectations and so she had nothing to hide and nothing to fake, but that was what scared her.

Alexander floated lazily into the air and put his hands behind his head. Opening an eye, he looked at Keijina.
[glow=white,2,300]"So. You're a fox spirit . . . Where do you come from? What is your home? What sort of history do you have?"[/glow]
The Angel of Life had a thing about people, which was that he wanted every one of them to be happy. This creature seemed to have a lot of issues, and he would see what he could do to resolve them.

Keijina looked up at him, and sat down on a tipped over barrral. "I came from my mothers whomb, I have no home, and I have an abusive history." she said, still not sure if she could trust the Angel-Born. Her head hung as a hand reached up to her neck to rub the scar absntly. "Why do you ask?"

Firehawk walked slowly into town, looking around for anyone. Just one person he had met since he arrived... but no signs of them. Blast. I was hoping one of those people from that ship would be here. He looked again, and saw 2 people talking to each other, one seeming to... emanate some sort of power, what it was, Firehawk didn't know. He slipped over to get a better view, and ended up running into a small barrel that he couldn't see. His height was such that the barrel was out of sight from his normal point of view. Firehawk crashed to the ground and swore, then stood up slowly, dusting himself off and stood against the wall of a nearby building as if nothing ever happened. That was... unusual... and it kinda... well, twinged. A little. Good thing I got quick healing... for stuff like that... He continued to stand, looking quite indifferent to everything and everyone. Except the 2 across the street.

Alexander glanced at the newcomer, and raised an eyebrow.
[glow=white,2,300]Poor man can't even stand upright.[/glow]
He looked back at Keijina, and smiled.
[glow=white,2,300]"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to intrude. I simply was curious . . ."[/glow]
The Angel-Born knew that the spirit was hiding something, but didn't want to push her; she'd open up eventually.

Keijina nodded absently. She could feel that Alexander was still wanting to know everything, but alot of people want to know everything. Somewhere deep inside her told her to trust him, but she couldn't. She hadn't trusted anyone since she came here, why would this pearl with wings be any different? A crash told her that they had company. She saw him fall and instantly ran to his side. "Are you okay? Are you drunk, and if so, where do you get the beer?"
