I'm going to have to remind myself to pay attention to my surroundings again... "Just wasn't watching, I'm fine... and not drunk." He was still leaning against the building, still with a look of slight indifference. "Gotta say I'm sorry about that..." He looked over quickly at the other one across the street, finding nothing different about him. The other one he felt nothing from yet, and he simply just stood there, waiting.

Alexander walked over to the man and raised his other eyebrow.
[glow=white,2,300]"Are you certain you are okay? It would be very unprofessional of me not to heal you."[/glow]
Not at all an untruth; in addition, however, Alexander also simply enjoyed helping people.
[glow=white,2,300]There's worse things to do for a living, right . . .?[/glow]

"I'm sure. I'll definitely be all right. Considering I did once fall from a 50 foot height... though that wasn't exactly my fault..." That was YOURS. [glow=red,0,200]Yeah, and it was really hilarious too. 50 feet though... shoulda tried for 100![/glow] Shut up, I don't want to deal with this... and I DO kinda get a weird feeling from this guy, like he might be stronger than he appears... and if he can read minds, well, you might have been discovered. Firehawk had been warped out of a ship to a 50 foot height with no way to slow down OR soften the fall, he had been fine, aside from a few minor injuries, but he had been particularly annoyed at his evil side, his unpredictability. "Might I ask, who are both of you? I might as well tell you my name as well, I'm Firehawk. And by the way, if you think it's weird, I forgot my real name long ago and took this one..."

Keijina smiled at the fact that he was okay. She offered her hand almost ladylike, implying a hand shake or a kiss on the hand was in order. "I am Keijina." Her tail wrapped in front of her leg, making it visible. "After dealing with a tail for a few hundred years, names don't strike me as wierd." she smiled cutely. Her sheer cloak stopped mid calf and occationally blew sideways. She was decently warm, thanks to Alexander, and thus wore the cloak loosely, allowing the rest of her cloths to be easily seen. Her amber eyes sparkled with what looked like innocence, but the truth was hidden under years of masks. She could hide her destressing pass from Firehawk, but why not Alexander? This thought troubled her, and it flashed across her face briefly, but other than that, she held her appearence.

Alexander blanched at Firehawk. 100 feet was too far for any being to fall from . . .
[glow=white,2,300]"Well, at least you are okay."[/glow]
He looked between the two. Both of them seemed to have, as everyone does, problems, and he wondered what he could do to assist them.
[glow=white,2,300]"Ahh . . . if either of you need anything, feel free to tell me."[/glow]
Slowly, Alexander approached the building he had recently fallen off of. Closing his eyes, he crouched down and sprang up suddenly, landing on the roof. Turning around, he grinned at his friends. The intruil closed his eyes again, and magic formed around him, spreading rapidly to the feet of his friends. He knew that with this spell, their jumping abilities would be enhanced enough for them to follow him.
[glow=white,2,300]"Come on, I can't wait all day!"[/glow]
With this, he leapt to another roof and began hopping in this manner towards the city center.

Keijina looked up at the jumping lizard. She raised an eyebrow in cunfusion, but didn't hesitate to follow. Her jumping ability was fine, the extention launched her past the edge, though. Being the master at improve that she was, she flipped and landed gracefully in front of Alexander, making it look like she had ment to do it.
"I guess I should be thanking you for that extra boost." she said sarcasticly.

Alexander smiled and began to speak when he heard an explosion and a plethora of screams. Looking to the city center, he saw silver smoke rising and a wave of people fleeing.
[glow=white,2,300]Can't be . . .
"Get away from here! Run as far as you can!"[/glow]
The Angel of Life began leaping from rooftop to rooftop, slipping on shingles and almost falling more than once. Finally, he reached the source of the disturbance and leapt into the street, landing on one of his hands in a crouch. Snapping his fingers as he stood, an enormous sword appeared in his hand.
Walking casually down the street was a tall creature. He was firing bullets from his metallic right arm, and a look of boredom was on his face. Seeing Alexander, the creature smiled grimly.
[glow=silver,2,300]"Ahh, Alexander. I expected to find you nearby."[/glow]
Alexander stood with a shocked expression on his face. He didn't need this here or now, and hoped to Gaea that Keijina had fled.
[glow=white,2,300]"Mahandronis, you've caused enough damage to this world already! Go back to Apoclia and Cobantu, maybe you'll find things to kill there!"[/glow]
Mahandronis merely smiled more at this remark.
[glow=silver,2,300]"You know full well that you will lose when the time comes for me to kill you. But, sadly, that time is not now.
Come to the Arkane Lands in thirteen day's time if you want to eliminate me."[/glow]
The Angel of Life was beaten and he knew it.
[glow=white,2,300]"Fine. Have fun 'til then."[/glow]
With one final sneer, Mahandronis disappeared in a flash of silver light. Alexander sank slowly to his knees, and could feel tears coming to his eyes.
[glow=white,2,300]Why now?[/glow]

As Firehawk saw the new being appear, he felt an incredible wave of power wash over him for an instant. Holy crap... this new person... actually seems kind of familiar... but... not completely. He watched as the newcomer disappeared, and then followed Alexander. "So... he's a problem is he? Seems more evil than... well..." Firehawk considered telling Alexander about his evil side, long and hard, which meant for about 10 seconds when it came to Firehawk. Finally, he decided against it. [glow=red,0,200]Coward. Won't even mention something you don't like...[/glow]

Alexander glanced at Firehawk out of the corner of his eye. Casting his gaze at the ground quickly, he sighed.
[glow=white,2,300]"Mahandronis. He wants nothing better, I should think, than to destroy everything that breathes."[/glow]
He snapped his fingers, and the sword he was carrying disappeard. Sitting down dejectedly, he placed his snout between his knees.
[glow=white,2,300]"I've made a lot of mistakes in the past, but . . . I need to rectify them. I'll be there for the fight, and he knows it."[/glow]

Keijina watched in horror as Mahandronis came and went, leaving destruction in his wake.
'Probably had something tramatic happen to him...that's usually why people have big guns.' she thought, shaking her head. 'I hate guns.'
Memories of vines and that big gun came into her head as she chose that time to land next to Alexander and mimick his pose.
"Boo." she said softly, subtilly indicating that she wanted him to elaborate on the man's want to kill everything that breaths.

Alexander looked up quizzically at Keijina. He didn't know what she meant by 'boo,' but felt that she and Firehawk deserved a better explaination.
[glow=white,2,300]"Mahandronis is a Relic. There are seventeen of them, and . . . well, from what we've seen, what they do is destroy. They kill living creatures - men, women, children - with no provocation. They'll disappear for months, years on end, only to return and dust another city. Or country. Or planet."[/glow]
The intruil sank further down into his fetal position, and fell over - most unceremoniously - on his side, stirring up great dust clouds. Ignoring this, or perhaps not noticing, he continued talking.
[glow=white,2,300]"I don't know what they want. They assure us that they have a purpose, but won't tell anyone what it is. And no spies have ever learned anything from them. I suppose they'll either be destroyed or have their way with the universe."[/glow]

"So they exist only to kill... absolutely... I can't think of a word to describe it..." Firehawk HATED those who had no reasons for doing what they did. It was really the only thing that got him truly angry. Without reason, what point was there to anything? This was his outlook. "Guess I better hope I never run into one again... If I do, it might not be a pleasant experience..." He didn't know which person WOULD have the unpleasantries, however. He surmised that in his normal state he was definitely no match for Mahandronis. But if his evil side took over... Maybe... No... I just won't do that. Not even if it was the only hope of my life. [glow=red,0,200]Well you happen to be no fun then... I just wanted a fight...[/glow] Shut up. I REALLY don't have time for this.

Alexander slowly floated into the air, his eyes fluttering between halfway closed and closed.
[glow=white,2,300]"I'm going. I have to go. If I don't, then he'll cause more mayhem until I do."[/glow]
Settling to the ground, he began walking away from the city, then stopped and turned.
[glow=white,2,300]" . . . You two may come if you like. I don't know how safe it is, but even so . . . well, I might need backup, y'know?"[/glow]

Keijina smiled. It was the first time since her escape that she had been offered anything, let alone companionship. Deep inside, an argument was occuring.
'He doesn't mean it personaly. He said it himself, he needs back-up. That's the only reason that he even offered to take you along.' she said to herself. 'But he seemed so...sincere.' she responded, a little hurt my her inner denial. 'Stop this now! Last time someone 'sincerely' cared for you, you ended up nearly getting sold off to the nearest suiter! This lizard needs to earn your trust! Walk away and maybe you'll meet up later. I know what to do here.' her objective side told herself. I quick look to the ground solidified her choice as her other self responded. 'I ran so I could change, but how can I change if I don't put some feelings at risk?' and her mean side had no answer for that.
"I'll come, afterall, you're my heat source."

"It would probably be a good idea..." Firehawk thought about Alexander's offer for a bit, all the while having to deal with his evil side being outraged and such, annoying Firehawk to no end. [glow=red,0,200]Will you just leave it alone!? You don't have to follow these two! Listen to me for once before I torch this area to cinders![/glow] You and I both know that you have no influence over me, and I'd just banish you back to my mind. Now shut up and let me think in PEACE. Firehawk wished he had a way to go into his mind and fight, but he couldn't... yet. "All right. I think I'll come... considering I'll eventually have to deal with a Relic at some point anyway. I can be sure of that."
