OOC: Figure I gotta get something going. If I'm going to be back on Fyia, I'm going to do some RPing. So, I'm back. Oh yeah.
Firehawk's ship had reappeared in its old spot, the same one it had been at before his departure. This time, however, it was undamaged. Everything had gone well, and Firehawk awoke from his rest to find out that he was back on Fyia.
"So... finally, I made it. Well, time to see who's around..."
He walked into Dathomir, the same place he had first met Longshanks, Vahn, and Setthirosa, among others. He never had seen Setthirosa again after then, but later met up with Mahandronis, a far more dangerous adversary. The issue with him was never really resolved.
"I wonder..." Firehawk's expression darkened. Mahandronis wasn't one of the people Firehawk wanted to see again. And yet... I do need to resolve things with that Relic. Damn lunatic killed people without mercy and everything. Worse than Binak. At this, he stopped. Binak. The one person Firehawk had been after all this time. It all began with him, really...
Firehawk continued to the very same tavern he remembered. A couple of people recognized him, vaguely, but nobody really noticed him. He walked over and sat down. Good to be on solid ground, at least.

Down the end of the road was a small signpost with a name on it that evoked laughter: "Banana" in bold black letters. Behind it stood a small, sturdy house, some would say a bacholer pad of sorts.
The sand in Dathomir is an enemy only until one can find how to become it's friend. The house evidenced this by obvious sand-proofing devices out and about. A satelite on the roof indicated to most people cable television, but to the locals it was a connected to a device that told if and when a sandstorm was coming.
A small slit in the ground and odd overhangings above all the windows gave the house a sort of haunted look. Metal doors rose and fell out of these, protecting the house from sand. Few houses had the technology and/or money to get these things but Banana's house was not what most houses were.
The front door opened slowly as if pulled by an invisible string and a small figure peered outside. The sun reflected oddly off of the overhangings, preventing the young man from stepping outside to get a view of the land. The figure dissapeared only to reeapear a minute later, walking down the drive as the door shut slowly behind him.
Banana's good mood was most likely a result of a clear day, no sandstorm or nasty winds expected. He ducked into a store, and stopped for a moment to take a deep breath of fresh air, then exhaling it all out again.
Today, he decided, is going to be a good day.

Seeing nobody he knew, Firehawk paid for what he had gotten and stood up. Won't make any headway at this rate. Wonder if there's anyone elsewhere in town...
He walked towards the exit, but someone moved in front of him. [glow=black,2,300]"So again, we meet."[/glow] Firehawk felt the man's words through his mind. He recognized the voice. But before he could react, the man had stepped outside. Firehawk had gotten a look at him. Although he wasn't Binak, he WAS possessed. Firehawk could tell by the black aura around him. "Damn it. He's done it again..." Firehawk followed the man outside, his eyes narrowed.
OOC: Just as a side note, the guy's not a character really, he's just an extra used for my purposes (I've done this kinda thing before, grab a random bystander NPC guy and use him for Binak's possession. hehe.)

Eyes closed, Banana was vunerable to the slightest misstep of someone going past him. As luck would have it, this very thing happened.
He felt a rush of wind and saw a swirl of black clothing as he stumbled into a shelf fell down, taking its contents and him down with it. Dust and sand, a sick mix in the type of atmosphere Dathomir was in, gathered around him, seeping into his hair, clothing and mouth. He spit it out only to have more come in.
Mother Frick! "Mother Frick!"
Banana got up in a way that any bystander could tell he was an angry little man. Leaping to his feet and ignoring the pain of the fall, he marched outside with grim determination and a mission in mind: find the idiot who knocked him over and who had, at least temporarily, ruined his day.
He stepped outside, the clear and beuatiful day welcoming him like open arms ready for a hug. There was no time to enjoy the day right now, not time for it. There was the man, in front of him, dressed in black and a coldness surrounded him that people like Banana could easily tell, although the average person would not notice.
The short time from when he'd fallen to now seeing the man who'd roughed him served to mellow him out greatly. Banana was not one to fight, and the man could have bumped into him on accident, not on purpose, Banana realized. As he stopped and gathered his thoughts, a wave of blue hair caught his attention, and he went to the person who owned it.
"Hello. Do you happen to know that man?" he accompenied the question with a pointing finger and a questioning look.

Firehawk heard the question, but wasn't sure how he wanted to phrase his answer. No, he didn't know this person, but the one possessing him... causing the dark aura now surrounding the victim quite clearly, at least to Firehawk...
"I guess you could say I do... but not exactly..."
"Hmph. You never were exactly easy to be around. And you still aren't. Damn it... how moronic you are sometimes."
[glow=red,0,200]"Damn it, Binak, SHUT UP. At least I talk to people IN PERSON."[/glow]
"Ha! Listen to the one who has destroyed countless beings IN PERSON."
[glow=red,0,200]"... just leave or I'm going to be royally pissed..."[/glow]
OOC: Note: Red text is always Firehawk. I'd use black for Binak, but I can't.

Although his anger had subsided, at least for the time being, Banana was always annoyed at vague answers.
How can he "guess" he knows someone, then "not exactly" know them? These are the kinds of people I hate dealing with.
The look on his face told all. Slightly raised eyebrows meant mock disbelief, a small, half-grin that looked like an angry expression actually revealed Banana's playful side. Although people like this could be annoying, some were also highly entertaining, like a real life video game almost. One could play with their minds, pretending to be angry, sad, pumped, or whatever emotion would evoke the most reaction from the person.
"Ok bud... Could ya explain real fast how you know him but at the same time don't? It is really cool to guess you know someone, then not exactly know the person. But do you know what is really cool? Being yourself."
How he wished he had a partner in crime like the old days. Back in the day, when he and his two best friends (the "crew" they called themselves) would go around and do crazy things. Revered by their peers as fearless and crazy, they would do practically anything anyone told them to. Sometimes, though, things were not "crazy", they were just plain stupid. Those things they would not do. His crew would be perfect for a character like this one, they might try to anger him, or become friends with him, or a little of both. But, alas, today it was just him, Banana, and he had to deal with it.
The figure was now becoming a speck on the horizon. The sun made it hard to see, so he slipped on some sunglasses."So cool guy, let me ask you again. Do you know that guy?" Banana again indicated with a finger pointing in the man's direction.

The possessed man spoke. "He does not know the man I have taken. For this man is no longer himself. I am Binak Tonorian."
Firehawk turned to face the man. "Let go of his mind, Binak. I mean it."
But the man merely laughed. "Let go... you've never controlled me, Firehawk. I used to control you. Or at least, all of your power."
"And now you don't. Let go of his mind."
"Perhaps. Maybe if I find someone more... suitable to my needs. This one has no power. I can't draw anything to restore my own body from him. He is worthless."
Suddenly, the man fell over, dead. Only Firehawk saw the spirit rising out of him. This was all that remained of Binak, his essence. It floated away, and Firehawk could do nothing to stop it.
Firehawk turned to Banana. "Guess that might answer your question..."

When someone is surprised or shocked by something there is many different facial expressions one may use. The most common is the opening of the mouth into an circular shape, accompanied by a slight raise of the eyebrows. For those with a greater sense of humour, raised eyebrows combined with a small grin is usually the way to go. More serious people tend to use the ever so popular pursing of the lips with raised eyebrows.
For him, the expression was raised eyebrows with a small grin; Banana did, after all, have a good sense of humour. While other people would become scared or nervous of this spirit, his mood was more of the curious variety. What was that spirit? How did this man "know" it? Banana thoughtfully contemplated these questions.
Well for one thing this meant that the man hadn't bumped into him on purpose. The spirit must have made him do such a thing. Banana was glad that accident was out of the way, and immediatly put it in the past.
What had the spirit said- someone more suitable...to its needs? Again, curiousity sprang up. What was it's needs? What kind of person was needed to fulfill them? Banana grunted in annoyance and turned to the young man.
"So...you know this spirit. Would you care to explain what just happened here, then maybe why it happened? Make it as short as possible, although I do have all day."

"That spirit is named Binak. He's... pretty much my rival, but it goes farther than that. He was destroyed in battle at some point, but the spirit lived on, and can possess others. He draws energy from those he possesses, and once he draws enough, he can reform himself..."
Firehawk didn't know where Binak had gone this time. Even if he did, what could he do about it? He had no way to get rid of spirits, no matter what he tried.
"If Binak regains his body, he's going to wreak all sorts of havoc around here. He's the kind of man who destroys for no reason."

No reason? Wrong...they always have a reason. I think of the old saying "Even if one has no reason, that is reason in and of itself." but this young man would not understand this.
"Well, well..."
Banana did not hate this man, but for the moment he did dislike him. First off his posts were short and devoid of detail, the kind extremely hard to answer. And he seemed to have no plan of action against this 'Binak'. Character is what Banana would usually call something of this nature, but since it was not a physical being he could not properly call it a character, only a spirit.
Spirits...certainly an interesting subject. Where do they come from? If they are from people who are dead, why aren't there more? Too bad there is not some sort of spirit expert around to answer all of these questions. For a question without an answer it truly a sad thing...
Banana's sunglasses were really a good buy. Shading his eyes and corneas from the harmful UV rays of the sun, and helping him look cool all at the same time. Just then he realized he'd forgotten to put on sun tan lotion before he left home today. Immediatly after he remembered he did not put on sun tan lotion, nor was there even any of it in his house.
"Well, I for one am of a curious mind when it comes to the spiritual realm. First off, my name is Lucky." Banana paused, a small smile on his face for two reasons. The first was his made up name, which he used around people he did not like. he used a different one every time, using Lucky today because, well, he felt lucky. A name was a good thing to have, but not everyone he met needed to know it. The second reason was he saw a lady in the distance, possibly good looking, he couldn't tell yet. Moments later he looked away in disgust as the young woman was an "ugo".
"Now, lets say we set off to stop this Binak char- spirit before it wreaks all sorts of havoc around here," 'Lucky' continued, hoping this guy would help him out. "Does that sounds good to you, cheif?"

"Actually, that sounds like a good idea. I just wish I could affect him in some way." Firehawk shifted his sword, loosening it in its sheath. If his suspicions were correct, Binak could have found someone for a host...
Firehawk shook his head a bit. Can't think about that now. He turned back to "Lucky." "Well, I guess you already heard my name from Binak. I'm Firehawk Sentarl." He held out his hand.
OOC: I'm out of practice lately. Meh.

Banana shook the hand firmly.
"Effect him? I think I heard somewhere about iron effecting spirits...oops nevermind that effect vampires...and I forget where I learned that!"
I knew I shouldn't have watched every single episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
To find someone, you had to think like them. What kind of person would a spirit want as it's host? Probably someone who had a lot of power, strength, and weaponry...
"Basically what I'm thinking is Binak would want whoever around here has the most power, strength, weaponry, that kind of thing. Only one name comes to mind- Joe Hud. Joe collects guns as a hobby, has lots of money, and can go a lot of places the average person can't. You want to go check his place out?"

"Seems a bit far-fetched... but that may actually be a good place to start, at any rate." Firehawk didn't believe Binak would go to a normal person, but he had gone to people that had nothing to do with the situation before. Firehawk frowned at the memory. It was after the first time he had actually defeated Binak... but the spirit continued to wreak havoc, and reformed. This was the second time Binak had been a spirit...
"I take it you've never dealt with spirits, then? Though it does sound like you've faced more than a few things in your life."

Only a nod in agreement. The one thing I don't want to talk about, my past. Everyone is so concerned with the past! Why not the present, or the future?
"Ok, lets start there." Banana thought to himself. A spirit seemed to be an odd, but powerful, thing, able to go into anyone it wanted. A spirit on a mission was an entirely different thing. Back-up might be needed.
"Do you have any friends you could call to come and help us stop this Binak? I'm thinking of calling a few people. Like you said, I don't know much about spirits and it would be nice to have someone who does, and support just in case something happens."
Of course something will happen. It always does. When does something not happen? Never, at least when it happens it is not worth remembering... He hoped Rayan was free and then thought of others he could include in this.

Firehawk heard the question... "Do you have any friends you could call to come and help us stop this Binak?"
Damn. I don't even know if my friends from here are even around anymore... Longshanks... Vahn... both of them... and then... Alexander and Keijina... Where are all of them now?
"I wish I did. But I don't know where they are right now. The people I know around here might not be on this planet anymore, for all I know. I have been away for some time." Firehawk shrugged. "I should have stayed a bit longer."
