As his perilous tirade began, she only stood and watched, taking what harsh blows he had thrown at her. In some respects, he was right about her, as though having been a seer himself instead of a samurai. And that caused her blood to boil. Within her mind, his fiery diatribe seemed directed at everything she had said, though she cared less if her words were considered substantial. But she soon grew tired of his complaints, and his stark manner, as his eyes darkened within color and severity.
I only inferred... I never understood, not as though I even cared to know what your life had been like!
A dark shadow rippled alluringly along her body, as her fist tightened its grip about the center piece of her blade. Her canines lengthened sharply as though preparing for a miraculous change, one that she began to struggle with. "You had your claim to humanity... at some point in your life," she spat, distastefully under her breath. "I am a demon eternally... in life and nature."
He's more human... caving under this change in such a weak show of anger. I'd rather despise him than take another moment of this...
"Your apology is unneeded... you don't even mean it. I'd rather take my leave of you now... besides, I see nostalgia within your eyes... you want to go to that woman..." Her gaze remained as frigid as before, but her pupils tarried with any possible change as they remained slitted (though without any reason). The shadow swayed about her body, as though it were a hen guarding its chick from a serpent. But she was more of a serpent herself at this point in time. She wanted to strike out, far more than just verbally. Her blade even pulsed against her delicate hand, desiring blood far more strongly than even herself at the moment.
I want to kill him... but he appears already as a broken man. There would not be much more to break...
So, she settled upon allowing her anger to stew, with her obscure shadow flailing about to magnify her irateness. With one quick motion, she lifted the once soil planted blade, and allowed it to rise skyward once more. Her elbow bent back as she maneuvered her neck a bit forward, and allowed her weapon to be leveled along her shoulders. The perennial rose fell away from her diminutive nose as her gloved left hand dropped, in what appeared to be shallow defeat. Her boots moved once more as she began her angered departure, only walking past him as she closed the feet that had separated them.
Heaven... what a petty want. Hhmm... to lack a choice... heh, then I suppose that God's idea of free will has only failed...
The dark and latter layers of her veil appeared somewhat leveled by her sword as it rested harshly against her shoulders. Her anger was clearly visible, if not by her expression and flaying shadow, then by the burning aura that radiated from her darkly clothed body. Though it would have been easier just to spark a tussle, she chose the harder way, as though in hopes of finding another outlet, or allowing her annoyance to subside.
((Eh... this doesn't mean that she has necessarily left, though whatever post to follow this would probably make it likely.))

Gai's demonic blood began to boil at her comments. "You wish for blood. I can see it in your eyes. Your blade longs to taste mine." he said in a low, hateful voice. "You think of me as a broken man...someone who has no chance at surviving. Well...you're wrong." he said as he turned around as she walked past him.
"there is nothing in this world that can break me of who I am. No matter how much I have to kill, I will never change the way I feel. You say I had a choice; but you know not of which you speak. I never had a choice. Even before I was born, I was cursed. I never had a chance to go to heaven." he said as he began to clench his fist. The demonic aura that was emitted by his furry was strong. So strong that he began to change form without even meaning too.
His ears changed from their sharp Elvish look to those of a dogs. His canines grew in length, and his jet black hair grew and turned pure white. His nails grew and sharpened. "This is what I am. This is what I am cursed to be. You say that I long to see Tari...bah I wish for nothing of the sort. She was once a friend. If she still is I cannot say. But one thing I will not stand for is for you to speak of her in such a distasteful manner." he said as his cold red eyes bore into the womans back. "Now appoligise..."

If his command had fallen upon deaf ears, she would have only continued on; but it did not. She halted in her departure, and a dark obsidian glow seemed apparent from her once sky-like eyes. The darkness soon flooded her irises, leaving her once slitted pupils invisible amongst the dire obscurity. Her shadow only flared even more, as though it were a flame, and his words were just fodder to feed it. Her canines left their sanctuary, sliding over her violet lips. Their tips appeared as though they had been dipped within black paint, but such was unknown at the moment.
"Apologize," she scoffed, with scorn lacing her words. "Where do you come off trying to command me?!"
"I don't care about your little friend, if she wants an apology... she'd better come and take it." Her new fang-like canines tightened against her bottom lip, as if threatening to rupture her skin. "So what if you're cursed?! Will you forever long for something that is out of your reach? If you so believe that you cannot reach Heaven's gates... why continue to ruminate over it?..."
A dark and electric pulse began to consume her perennial rose, as her gloved hand crushed it. As the purely crimson petals burned with a black fire, which was the shadow, they remained unfazed and eternal in their youthful appearance. The stem itself did not collapse under her deadly grip, though her glove did seem likely to suffer from a slight tear.
"As though such a privilege would come easy for you... I feel no compunction, and as though I didn't despise you enough right now...." Her head lowered as she brought her double-edged blade from off of her burdened shoulders. Her aura pulsed darkly, as though being enhanced by her blade; it soon stood ready at her side. Her changes did not end there, as her once human-like ears became starkly pointed, and yet another black tip was seen upon both.
She did not care to hear his further words, she only wanted to see his blood now. Her body began to pulse somewhat painfully, but she tightened her grip upon the centerpiece of her blade. Any other changes were not needed, she desired a form that could allow her to use her weapon. But her dark aura only flailed about erratically, calling her shadow in several movements. Soon, she began to turn towards him, though only seeing his back at first. Sickly black serpents swam about her skin as she glowered at him.
Yes... I hunger for your blood, so does my blade. It has such a wonderful texture... taste... and the scent drives me insane.
"Abeo... abeo... abeo..." Her words seemed lost within a chant, one only spoken in what was considerably a dead language. She rose her sword, leveling it equally, so that both blades were given a side view. Her shadow was the first to strike, as it bleed from her body, soon becoming the embodiment of a venomous snake. It gained dotted eyes that cast off a luminous glow, and it seemed directed at one target; the samurai. It sprung to life, violently passing over grasses as it hurdled its bulky body towards him. Sharpened fangs spewed from its pitch black mouth as it readied itself to impale him with ease.

Hearing the strengthened voice and their harsh tones, Tari peered over her shoulder. The drastic changes in each subject could be seen. The last dwindling rays of the setting sun dried the tears from her face. The words that spilled from their mouths hardened the bright eyes elvish women. A glow resumed back to her that had been gone for so long.
She stood tall, towering over them, watching...listening. Memories shot back to her like bullets and chased away her fear of socializing again. Her eyes narrowed and in a moment of defiance, she spoke "Long time no see." Her voice was brittle, but this was an attempt to stop what looked like it could turn into something well, not so safe. A slight smile toyed with her lips and soon overthrew the frown that once masked her.
She didn't move much, just taking everything in. The sights, the sounds, the people. The one figure who she was a women didn't appeal to her. She didn't want to make enemies, but this character didn't seem too friendly, but maybe is was a misjudgement. She forced her shoulder length hair behind her ears and relaxed her shoulders. It had been so long since she could actually relax without worrying about much. Taking another step backward and turning around Tari began to descend down the other side of the hill, where Jazz had been grazing.
This is all one big mistake...
Gingerly she approached her horse and rested her head on his neck. She soothed him with long, smooth strokes, as he arched his glossy neck. She crashed to the earth beside her beloved friend, thinking and just trying to get away from the unknown pressures she felt.

Gai knew that the woman wasn't going to fight honorable. And even in his demonic state, he knew that this was the case. So as soon as he sensed the demonic stench approaching him. He jumped up and backwards to avoid the snake. He saw that it was rather large and knew that one bite could mean the end of him. But this didn't concern him.
"Coward." he sneered. "You carry a blade but use demonic energy and magic to fight." he said as he charged forward and with one fell swoop of his blade, he beheaded the snake. "I will now show you how to use a blade." he said as he held his Sword of Seals in his right hand.
At first he thought of attacking from above but chose to attack head on. So he rushed foward and slashed low expecting her to block such an easy attack and jumped to the side and slashed high in a horozantal arch.
"The first rule of sword play....never chanllenge a "broken" samurai. It could be the death of you." he said in a voice filled with scorn and hate.
But out of the corner of his eye, caught site of Tari stepping away from him and the woman. He could tell that she was sad and he could still read her thoughts.
Tari!!! No, it's not a mistake. you're supposed to come back. I'll prove it. Just...just give me a chance. he thought out. as he focused once more on his task at hand. He knew that Tari had heard his thoughts so he didn't have much to worry about.

What do you expect?... I'm a demon... I don't abuse my powers by leaving them inert. This is my essence...
As the snake failed in its intended strike, Harle felt it would inevitably fall, which did not bother her in the least. She watched unflinchingly as the samurai took one fatal swoop, and beheaded her serpent, who hadn't even the time to hiss in pain. It didn't need to, as a small abrasion appeared upon her fair cheek. Even as her embodiment would fall, she would take and endure what pain it was meant to feel. A lining of blood soon traversed down her face, as the dark crimson liquid made contact with her lips. She licked the bit of blood away, but wiped the rest with her fiery rose. The dark fire did not burn her skin, as it absorbed what blood that continued to decant.
"Actually... I'd rather use both in conjunction. Hmph... criticize my moves all you want, your comments fall upon deaf ears now."
As he charged at her head on, her dark eyes shifted, watching his subtle movements as she brought her blade closely towards her body. The skin serpents continued to float upon her skin, and even a few crawled along her unveiled hand. As his first move appeared to only be a decoyed scapegoat, she leapt backwards, the ends of her dress billowing in the persistent breeze. By the time that his blade rose on a horizontal inclination, she had already positioned her blade to the side, allowing metal to clash harshly with metal.
Death... heh, mine is probably way over due.
As her feet touched with the ground once more, she was positioned some distance away from him. Only her right hand held onto her blade as her left maintained its dominance over her obscurely burning rose. The shadow-like serpent had already seeped back towards her body, as the alluring shadow swayed, while even caressing her cut cheek. Its head has dissipated into nothingness, as though leaving that portion of her essence non-existent. The red band wrapped about her left arm looked as though it were hanging by a limb as her arms pulsed tirelessly.
Broken man or not... I don't plan on dying...
Her blade rose and rested on a vertical angle, with one blade northward, and the other pointing south. She soon made her quick dash for him, her dress yet again being controlled by the turbulent winds. Upon making contact, she struck at him fervently at his torso, but did not delay her next move. Her blade would soon turn from that point, as well as her body, as she then leapt over him. Her clothes appeared stunted from any form of movement as she landed quite soundlessly behind him. Her blade then took sharp aim at his back.

Gai saw that his attacks had been blocked but that did not concern him. He had calculated as much so he just stood up right and held his blade loosely. He watched her every movement and when he saw the woman raise her blade into the air, he prepared himself mentally. Never once did his body move. He just stood there like a statue, waiting.
When the woman finally charged him, Gai stared her down. with every step she took, he read her movements. He knew where she would strike by the position of her hand. The torso. he thought as he waited for her to strike.
And when she did, he was ready. The moment her hand began to stroke that it would take to cut at his torso; Gai drew his katana with the speed that only a skilled samurai could. He blacked the attack and then watched the woman sail over him. He knew that she would then attempt to attack from behind so with both blades in hand, he charged with his arms crossed and blades ready for a horizontal slash.
"My words may fall upon deaf ears...but my actions can still speak louder then anything I could ever say." he said as he ducked under her blade and slashed at her torso in response.

There was a tear in fabric, that cut clearly across their grassy battlefield. As her back attack had missed, he swiftly gashed her skin with his twin blades. She leapt back, feeling a queer brush of wind against her torso. A new scent was released more strongly into the air, and it had not been the one she so desired. It was her own blood. Her shadow went to work quickly, casing itself over the tear within her dress, as blood seeped freely from her new wound. The damage had not been severe, but she was left with a numbing frigid burn.
His words are really beginning to tick me off...
Gradually, as she stood, her shadow formed over the two wounds she had gained. A temporary scar was left upon her cheek as the blood pouring from her abdomen became stagnant. Her dark eyes were soon greeted by a dash of crimson as the two colors began to swirl together. As her animalistic blood lust desired for her to rip his skin apart, her pride would only allow her to use her father's blade.
"Then, you're not much of an intellectual, are you?"
Her words were saturated with sarcasm as she stood there, mentally calculating her next move. Her guise never lacked in the contemptuous air that perpetually consumed her; she simply wanted him to die. And as another strategy submerged within her mind, a sadistic grin soon crept upon her face.
Heh, you can't follow me into my own dimension, neither can you sense me...
Suddenly, she made a backwards plummet, falling against her own earthbound shadow, as she sunk into the familiar darkness. Her own exuding shadow followed her, and soon, the shadow seen upon the grass vanished. Within the pit of endless darkness, she hovered, only soaring within a bottomless abyss as she sought out his lucent silhouette. It were as though she was a salmon encased within ice, looking for a light exit amongst the frozen obscurity. Her dark attire was still left within paused animation, as there was no longer a wind current in her location. But her rose burned continuously, the dark flames laying outlined in the turbid darkness.
Hhhmm... umbra... umbra... umbra... ah, there you are.
Her eyes were lit with lust as she spotted the outlining of his earthbound shadow. She soon swam upward, surfacing into his realm as she allowed her body to silently rise from the abyss. Her blade was held ready and at a horizontal angle, imitating the once indecisive sun. She made a baleful swoop along his legs, as she had not fully left her dark shadow realm. But as her attack was made, she dove back into the obsidian dimension.

Gai watched in anger as the woman vanished into nothing. "So. I see you have tricks. That's ok, so do I." he said as he closed his eyes. It was just like he had trained. You don't always need to see an enemy to fight them. That was what Rayan had taught him.
So instead of dashing away trying to avoid her, he sat there and waited. What she didn't know was that no matter what dimension she was in, he could still sense her thoughts and her spirit.
Damn you. You think you can attack me so easily. he thought as he sensed her surface behind him. "I don't think so." he said softly as he placed his blade along his leg and blocked the attack. He then turned on the spot and slashed at nothing. The woman had vanished back into the ground.
"Fool. No matter how hard you try, you'll never be able to attack me unless you use the true skill of a swordsman." he said as he closed his eyes once again and picked up the trace of her mind and aura. No matter where you go, I'll always be able to find you. There is nowhere to hide. he thought with his blades at ready and his mind focused only on her location.

She sighed, having missed her target yet again as she crawled back into pitch black realm. In the beginning, she had tried to ignore his mentioning of her thoughts, but she could no longer condone his ability. What was the point of even thinking if he could easily foil her plans? She growled frustratingly as she remained floating, while trapped within deep contemplation and annoyance.
Damno vos! So... you can hear my thoughts, feh. Her left hand tightly clenched her delicate burning rose. You're rather intrusive... that's for sure. Hmph; fine then... I'll play your little samurai game.
Her thoughts were like poison, meant to impale him harshly with her words, though they weren't considerably stark. She was growing tired of his taunting moves and words, as she further delved into the substance of anger.
I'd personally prefer silence on your part...
Her body set into motion once more, but with a different objective in mind. Instead of finding his silhouetted figure, she formed her own opening. She could not guarantee her distance from him, but her entrance would still be within the field. As the shadow was manifesting within the grassland area, it was found upon the tree he had leveled earlier. The bark began to wane and loose what youth it had been able to maintain as the shadow portal composed. Darkness flooded the last remaining fibers of the tree as the obscurity outlined her figure flawlessly. She did not waste time to marvel at her creation as she swam upward, submerging once more as she was greeted by the persistent winds and fading sunlight.
All right... I guess if you want to school me in the way of the samurai, then get to it!
Night was now beginning to cast its shadow about the land, plunging the world into a gentle darkness that seemed only to mock Harle. Her blade was drawn near her body, and positioned just at the level of her torso. Her index finger ran along the centerpiece of her sword, as it barely brushed against one of the slabs of demonic metal. Her blanket of lavender hair flared beneath her obsidian veil as she stepped from the deteriorated tree, and onto the more stable bed of grass. Her eyes, mixed with violent shades of crimson and black, glared down at him, as though her anger had not even reached its apex.
Heh... you don't even have to read me, all you have to do is invade my mind. Oh... how that makes me feel all the more happy... The harsh satire was apparent.
Though she appeared tireless in her demeanor, her skin serpents gradually dispersed, joining the shadow that oscillated alluringly about her lithe frame.
"Damno vos..." she abhorred angrily. "Admiror caelum... admiror aequitas proeliator... admiror et morior..."

The sound of of fight seemed to awaken Tari from her daze. She listened intently and slowly stumbled her way back to her feet. She had heard Gai's thoughts, but didn't respond. She could sense there was trouble, but Jazz could sense it even more so.
The golden stallion paced unnervingly and pawed at the ground. His eyes were narrowed and burning with with courage. His ears lay flat against his head as his nostrils flared a brilliant red. Tari reached one hand out to the unsteady stallion and spoke to him quietly. "Ragazzo facile" Tari spoke with a calm, sensible tone that Jazz took to instantly. He lowered his head and relaxed, allowing Tari to climb on his back. The stallion wore nothing, not even a bridle, which was something Tari rarely let him do.
She sat deep and let her legs relax at his sides. Her hands were placed expertly on his withers, intwining itself with the thoroughbred's golden locks of mane. Once again Jazz became fiery and so desperately wanted to charge over the hill. It was time. Tari took a deep breath and yelled to Jazz "Go boy, run!". The stallion got low on his powerful haunches, lifting up his hooves then driving them into the earth beneath him. He charged up the hill, tossing his head in defiance. In several effortless bounds they reached the top. The horse reared with power, striking out his front legs as a means of intimidation then returning back to earth, glaring at the duo.
Tari engaged in a long, cold stare that said she was ashamed of them both. She knew both subjects had different perspectives, but to fight so untamely was foolish on their part. Why was it that one needed to shed another's blood just to make themselves feel good, it was arrogant, but for many...a way of life.
"Is this going to get you anywhere in life? No...I don't think so." she turned her attention to the female character. Her gaze became softer as she desperately tried to find some source of genuine hope in her. She didn't want this woman to feel she was being attacked by Tari, for Tari was always williing to make friends over enemies. Tari tapped her heels into Jazz's sides and they carried on down the hill towards the fight. With everystride Jazz became stronger and through that, Tari sat deeper and became more confident within herself.
Coming to a rushing halt through the thin blades of grass, Jazz kicked out as a way to get the attention off the fight. Tari slid from the mass of gold's back and stood with great confidene between the fighting pair. She eyed both of them with great detail, searching for an answer.

Gai was in the middle of charging the woman when Tari came racing up the hill on Jazz and stood between them. Her words were harsh yet filled with concern for them both. But Gai didn't care. He was in a complete trance. the only thing he wished for was to destroy the woman that had caused him such anger.
"Tari...get out of the way. I don't want to see you get hurt. This has nothing to do with you." he said in a low voice. He truly had no wish to harm Tari and restrained his demonic strength from over taking him and causing him to strike out at her. "Please Tari. Just move. I know what I'm doing." he said as he ran forward and jumped over her and continued his charge toward the woman.
"I'm sorry Tari...I'm so sorry...." he said as tears leaked from his red demonic eyes as he slashed vertically with his katana and then sheathed it in one movement. He then slashed out with his Sword of Seals with two hand in a horizontal slash. The force that was created by the strength that he used cause all of the nearby tree fly out of the ground with their roots still in contact."...but she must pay." he said in a low sad voice.

With Tari's intrusion into their battle, a low growl purred from Harle's lips. Her blood lust had obviously not died down, and she still sought to kill Gai. Her glare was thrown towards the new obstacle, as the hunger within her gaze never subsided.
If she doesn't move... she'll have to do.
But no such measure was needed as Gai marked his need to do battle with Harle. His sorrowful apologies brought agony to Harle as she waited for him to make his next move. She breached a bit of skin upon her index finger as it collapsed further along a single blade. A trickle of crimson was seen, but quickly captured by her brooding shadow, as another scab was formed along her finger. She turned her blade on a vertical slope as one slab of metal pointed northward, and the other south. As his turbulent blades made their sound and baleful strokes, she thrust her blade into the ground.
No seismic eruptions were caused by this action, as her shadow began to fan outward along her trusty weapon. The shadow soon bled, forming a small barrier in front of her body as the erratic winds came and crippled the surrounding trees. Her dress billowed in the violent wind currents as her veil flailed about violently. She stood there, only being buffeted by a few sharp winds as further abrasions were made along her brow, cheek, hands, and arms. But a frigid burn was all that she felt.
"Your strokes are rather powerful, but not enough to deter me."
Her shadow fell away rapidly, only returning obediently to her body as she fluently lifted her blade. Her eyes held no remorse as before, but only a deep hate for the man in front of her. Her new wounds were soon aided by her shadow as she held her blade at a downhill inclination, slowly making her steady approach towards him. Her shadow was called upon once more as substantial droplets of darkness hung from the ends of her blades. Gradually, she began to spin the sword within constant cycles, as though imitating the motions of a turbine.
The partial shadows hung onto her blade ever so tightly as she continued the one handed spinning stunt. They sharpened into lengthy dark blades, as they were then released and spurted expeditiously towards him. After their departure from her blade, she soon began a quick dash towards him, striking angrily at his body once more.
