Aran smiled softly and pulled the bottom of her shirt down in an unconscious gesture of not really knowing how to act. She closed her eyes patiently as the cat screeched and tried to block out the feeling that she should either be down there helping the cat or else reprimanding Matt for not being more careful.
"I've got a question for you! Were you conscious of what was going on during the....umm...Dark Ages....?"
Oh. Well, or they could just jump right into the middle. The only question was how to respond. She had been putting off thinking about all of it until now. But all of a sudden it was racing back . . . "I don't know what to say, Matt. No matter what this is going to make me sound like an absolutely terrible person, but, then, there really isn’t any proof contrary to that fact at this point. It was like . . . I mean, I knew sort of what was going on, but I didn't really have any control in the matter . . . it was like . . . I had been taken captive.
"I mostly can just remember bits and pieces, but then, such are any memories of the past." She stared fixedly and hopelessly at a corner of the table. It was strange just how many bad feelings this topic solicited from her. "I wish I had been strong enough to just say no. Because I really feel almost that I could have gotten rid of it with pure will. But . . . it was just like this emptiness inside. This perpetual hunger pain that filled me, but I just wanted to hold on to that pain. It was as if it was addicting . . . because I was just so weak." A painful stinging filled her nose and pulled at the edges of her eyes, and before she knew it, a soft teardrop spilled over the edge of her eyelid and rolled down her cheek.
"I just want to apologize to you for the hell that I must have put you through. I can not believe that you still want to even be in the same building as me. But here you are, even in the same room, and you're listening . . . you’re listening to me just . . . ramble."
Matt, I still love you so much . . .
"If I were you, I wouldn't even be able to stand to look at me."

Matt's face filled with compassion. He put a hand to her face and wiped away her tear with his thumb. He then looked directly in her eyes and smiled.
"Hey......don't talk like that."
He brushed back a bit of her hair with his hand.
"You said you had no control right? Well then why would I blame you? The important thing is that your free now...."
He felt a slight rattling at his belt again as he said this. He had forgotten that he had actually had the blade still. He still had to destroy it somehow....Or...banish it forever.
"Cheer up! Your free now! No need for tears!"
He grinned a lopsided grin again the way he always did. He wasn't used to this sort of thing, so it was a bit awkward for him. He seemed to be doing just fine though.

She laughed shyly and avoided his eye contact, gently wiping the corners of her eyes to try to get the tears to stop. After a few deep breaths, she ventured eye contact once more and allowed herself to be indulged in his deep blue eyes. She smiled back and just kept eye contact with him, unwilling to break it for the world. She noticed again that his pants seemed to be vibrating, and wondered why. It was then that she realized that he was still carrying the blade.
Oh crap. Let's not go through this all again.
She gently lay her hand over his and softly bit her top lip. "I'll stop, I promise. It's just amazing that you're still here . . . and still talking to me." She smiled again, staring deeply into his eyes as if the answers to all of eternity could be found there. Once more, she was really . . . home.

Matt smiled and sat there not really knowing what to say. He looked at her compassionately.
"Aran...I will always be your friend...that means I'm there for you. I won't just leave when you are in trouble. Wouldn't you do the same for me?"
He looked around and noticed that they had finished the meal. He started to pick up the trash and throw it away.
"Well...we might as well get to sleep. We have had a huge day. I'm sure you need your rest. You can have the bed...I'll take the chair and keep watch."
He smiled and gave her a thumbs up and then walked over to the trashcan and threw away the garbage.

"Of course I would do the same for you," she spoke softly, trying to prove that the words were completly genuine. As Matt went over to the garbage can, Aran snuck into the chair, where she proceeded to make herself comfortable. "It's fine, Matt. I've gotten used to sleeping on the forest floor; this chair is more than enough. You take the bed."
Either way, she would undoubtedly end up on the floor; might as well have him be happy. With a weary smile, she settled deep within the chair and made sure that Matt knew that she wasn't going to change her mind.
A warm wind swept gentley through the room, and all of a sudden, Aran felt incredibly . . . comfortable. She was safe and with people that she knew, and it seemed that in this situation, no harm could possibly befall her. She started starng intently at a spot on the arm of the chair as she became lost in thought.
<flashback> blahblahblahblah Matt, I love you blahblah blahblah </flashback>
A dreamy look washed over her face and she smiled adoringly.

((Matt! Post! Now! I don't feel like actually going and looking up and writing out a flashback so I just decided to get right to the point. You'll live.))

Matt smiled to himself and agreed. He knew there was no stopping Aran when she had her mind set on something. He simply laid down in the bed and watched Aran as she slowly drifted off to sleep. After she fell asleep he walked over silently picked her up and put her on the bed. He then went over to the chair and went to sleep.
--the next morning--
Sunlight shone through the balcony windows, begging for a chance to be let into their eyes. The light pulled at the sleepy eyelids of the two.

Aran extended her legs slightly, and rolled onto her side, expecting the armrest of the chair to catch her. A loud "Oof!" was heard as, instead, she rolled right off the edge of the bed and onto the floor. She quickly sat up, looking embarrassed, and got back onto the bed. After a few moments, she drifted back off into a dazed awakeness, and focused her eyes softly on the ceiling of the room.
Within the next ten minutes, the sun had gone from filling the room with a soft glow to completely illuminating it with a golden-red light. Aran yawned sleepily and then sat up, trying to get some of her blood circulating. She wasn't exactly sure just what to expect in the way of the day's activities, but she expected that she would need to at least be partially conscious in able to fulfill them.
She turned to face Matt, who was taking up her spot in the chair. A playful smile illuminated her face, but she immediately pushed the mischievous thought to the back of her mind, and merely walked over to him and sat down on the arm of the chair. She smiled softly and stared forwards.

Matt awoke and all he could see was Aran's back. He blinked a few times and then reached up and hugged her from behind.
"Good morning!"
He then pulled her down to him and started tickling her at her waist incessantly.
"I got you! Hahahahaha"
He smiled playfully as he tortured Aran.

Aran doubled over giggling as Matt ruthlessly attacked her. She was gasping for breath by the time that he released her, and she fell softly onto his lap as they both sat in the chair. The sun was shining brightly through the curtains and it warmed the room up to a very comfortable temperature. A soft smile illuminated Aran's face as she turned to look up at Matt.
The way that the light was coming in through the curtains caressed his head perfectly and gave him a soft, angelic looking glow. She lay contentedly on his lap, just smiling up at him, and then she leaned slightly up towards him.
Not quite aware of what it was that was possessing her to do it, she placed her lips tenderly on his and kissed him softly with every nerve in her body tingling.

((idiot....have you not figured out that the site you use doesn't allow offsite linking.....almost ever post you make with music doesnt work! its not helping anyone!))
Matt gently returned the kiss given to him by Aran. He sat there for a few seconds and then stood up, wiggling out from under Aran. He was kind of sorry to break that up, but they had to get moving.
"We should get going. I forgot to tell you this last night...but, I saw a job offer last night. I think I am going to take it. I was hoping that you would join me!"
He smiled at the thought.
"It is a band of mercenaries fighting in some war. You and me would make the perfect team. Elegance and Finess, Magic attacks and Physical Attacks, Elf and Swordsman. Wouldn't that be cool! And plus, I am kind of owe Rayan one...and he is the leader. Also there is another man that I think may go out for this oppurtunity. His name is D...I must learn more about him...Of course we won't be obeying Rayan's orders!"
He laughed.
"We are just there for a bit of money and a bit of fun. What do you think?"
He looked at her pleadingly. He really wanted to do this.

"Oh, I don't know about that, Matt," Aran said calmly\, trying her hardest to keep a serious face. "Fighting and magic and stuff. Plus, aren't we, like, worst enemies or something?" she screwed up her face in concentration which lasted for about ten seconds and then turned into a face of a giggling girl.
"Of COURSE I'll do that with you, Matt! It sounds cool. Plus, we'll be fighting, right?" she smiled and got up out of the chair, starting to tidy up the room a bit.
Fighting's always fun.
"Are we going to head out now?" she asked without really looking up at him. She was trying to decide if she should further destroy the bloodied nightgown or leave it to the tattered state that it was in. "I'm not sure if I've ever met this Rayan person. You'll have to introduce me."
((Not in her right mind, she hasn't, and we're going to assume that RP School is an alter-deminsion of Fyia.))
Leave it.
She moved into the bathroom and tried to clean some of the dirt off of the pristene white tile. Her reflection caught her eye and she noticed that she looked quite different than the image she had seen of herself sleep- deprived a day ago. Now without any thoughts to cloud her mind, she was a bit frightened. Her normally blonde hair had turned into a thick black and her eyes seemed . . . fiercer. Her face was torn up and she was bruised all over her arms, but that was too be expected. Curiously, she lifted up the bottom of her sexy shirt to see how her wound was healing. After only a few days, it had gotten better, but there was a strange swelling around the area. She really hoped that it would get better and stop hurting her.
Her ribs stuck suspiciously out of her skin. She knew that she had lost a lot of weight, but she wasn't quite awake enough to realize just how much. At least twenty pounds were gone that she couldn't really afford to lose in the first place. She would definatly have to gain them back again.
She lowered her shirt and pulled the clasp of her necklace around to the nape of her neck and then fixed her hair over it. "Before we go, though, do you think that we could stop and get something to eat? I feel like something really fatty. Hehe. Hey! I have totally earned the calories." She said to Matt, poking her head around the door from the bathroom so that he would know that she wasn't just talking to herself.

Matt smiled and nodded while picking up his gunblade and clipping it to his belt. He also grabbed the demon sword. He wrapped it in a cloth and also stuck it in his belt.
I'll...keep a hold of this...for safe keeping...until i can destroy it....
He grit his teeth as he thought about the accursed item. A look of anger appeared across his face for a second. He then walked up to Aran smiling. He offered her his hand and looked towards the door.
"Well, you ready?"
He didnt wait for her to answer and simply grabbed her hand and started walking out the door.
"So...where do you want to eat...."
The two then set out on their journey to Dathomir.

Aran smiled as Matt took her hand in his and took great comfort in the feeling of once more being in his arms. She cast one more glance around the room, decided that there was nothing that she needed, and followed Matt out of the room.
"I'm not really sure. Some place fast."
((Alright, sounds good!))
