Mellira Ellian Se Callara, the small, shy half-elf has just arrived on the planet Fyia, in the arkane lands. It is a strange place where she stands, at the edge of a precipious with mountains in the distance and a few high rocks towering over her. There is a little creek with minnos, and miles of rolling grasslands covered in strange plants. She is searching for adventure, friendship, and fights. She does not yet know the meaning of true love, or true adventure, only what was sthingy fed her since the time of her childhood.
[glow=blue,2,300]What will come my way?[/glow]
Her only question in the world.

While wandering through the Arkane lands, DarkUmbra began to emit the strange black shroud that hath spelled death for many an adventurer for he sensed the presence of another. Staying secluded in the shadows, he spoke.
[glow=purple,2,300]Creature! Watch yourself, for if it is a fight you seek, I can perhaps grant you the blessing of death![/glow]
As he spoke, he seemed to be more and more agitated with each passing word as if he assumed that had already attacked him. And the more agitated he became, the larger an area his dark mist covered.

Watching the creacher of the shadows, Mell became suddenly frightened.
[glow=blue,2,300]I do not wish death, only adventure.[/glow]
Said she, afraid of what the shadow might do. The dark mist was beinging to scare her, but she knew that this thing must have a weakness, if she could just find it. Sixteen years had taught her that.#nosmileys

Noticing the humanoids obvious fear, he decided to expoit it even further.
[glow=gold,2,300]Should I keep the the fear constant, I may avoid it discovering my extreme physical weakness.[/glow]
And with that thought in mind, DarkUmbra began to meld the shadows into numerous vines and coils which shot at the humanoid in an attempt to restrict it.

Mell took a deep breath to overcome her fear. [glow=blue,2,300]Come out and face me like a warrior[/glow] Her voice shook, though.

[glow=purple,2,300]Sorry, I don't do the whole "honor, warrior" thing. Being raised as an assasin, I have other methods.[/glow]
As DarkUmbra spoke, he began to move in the shadows to conceal his location. If anyone knew where he was, they would have seen a black ball of energy forming in his hand. Once sufficiently sized, it launched itself at the figure standing before him.

She carefully raised her griffyn shield and drew her bow. Lighting the arrow on [glow=red,2,300]fire,[/glow] she sent it at the dark creacher.

By some random miracle, the arrow struck true to form. The very second that the arrow hit, all of the mist, and all of the shadow energy immediately dissapeared. Because of his extreme physical weakness he passed out against a tree, flaming arrow still in his chest.

Mell ran over and pulled the arrow from the strange creacher's chest, and lifted him away from the tree. He was singed but not hurt as far as she could see. His body was frail for the dark mist he emitted and she knew that he should be somewhere dark soon. Mell lay him down in the shade of a rock.

Because of the creature's kindness, DarkUmbra was able to almost fully revive from the natural shadows. Not being noticed by the other, he snuck up behind it and attempted to jam a totally black dagger down it's neck.
[glow=purple,2,300]Never turn your back to a shadow-folk, even a fallen one. Your kindness causes your death, watch yourself.[/glow]
He said this as if he thought that the other creature could hear him. Was there something wrong wit the dagger?

Feeling the deathly prick press the back of her neck, Mellira whirlled to face the fallen shadow. [glow=blue,2,300]Is this how you reward your friends?[/glow] Her face went from the normal shade to an ashen grey quickly. A scarlet drop of blood was left on the blade, but Mellira had her life.

[glow=purple,2,300]"Friends" do not fire firey arrows at each other. I was merely being defensive in my own mannor.[/glow]

[glow=blue,2,300]No more fire arrows if there are no more threatening black shrouds. Deal?[/glow]
Mellira offered her hand a bit shyly. She wasn't sure of what could happen.
