Killzone - My favorite game ever!!!!
Platform: Playstation 2 & PC
Story: The storyline of the game introduces you right into the action, trench warfare. As the game progresses it makes you beg for the next cutseen, but fear the end becuase of all the fun. Anyways, The Helghast are attacking the planet Vekta, which is similar to Earth in many ways. You have to repel the Helghast until the Earth fleet arrives to give you backup. 10
Graphics: Fairly good. They challenge the PS2 to its limits. I noticed in multiplayer when running you look goofy. 9
Small Flaws Sometimes so much is going on at once that the game might give a few seconds of lag, but its not to much of a problem. The area might be all brown then unfold into the trees and ground and such, but that doesn't happen to much. Enemies take alot to get killed near the end. When you try to hide, they will find you, and shoot you. No rating on this.
Sound: The best part. There is no music in the levels which add to the excitment of the guns going off and the bullet ricocheting into the ground all around you. 10
Controls: Simple, any gamer could get used to them. If they are hard to use, then ever single button is changeable. 10
Difficulty: Pretty easy at first, but the enemies are able to withstand a whole clip near the end of the game. You find yourself scrambling for cover. 8
Replay Value: In multiplayer you can have tons of fun with this, expecially online. You may find yourself held up in the same spot alot, becuase of Helghast on the hill with grenade launchers, but usually nothing the same ever happens. In the campaign mode, the units are in the same place, but it's still really fun. Only multiplayer has different stuff. 8
Overall: I really love this game. The storyline is enveloping, and the multiplayer can be very fun when you play it online, you can hide from the enemy. This game is similar to Halo, and rated M for mature. If you are a halo fan, then you might like this. I never played halo and I really enjoyed killing Helghast in this game. 10
I have more information in my old game of the month thread. It has more info if you haven't already read about it.
