Alright. Last time I did a review I said this game was next (or the WWE Gamecube game, which I have yet to get.) So anyway, to the review.
Graphics: You cannot judge the graphics in any of the games. All of the games have incredible graphics for the time period they came from (be it NES, SNES, or even the PS1 Megaman 8.) All of the games are colored well, although the first 6 are all NES titles and hence all look roughly the same. However, it avoids monotony fairly well. I just can't rate this category accurately... N/A
Sound: This one's a little easier to judge. The sounds are usually about the same. I'm sure that everyone in the world thinks the voice acting in MM8 is horrendous. Probably true (haven't gotten far enough to hear the Blue Bomber himself, but eh. The Robot Masters are strange.) All in all, the sounds are well done. 9/10
Play Control: Ooo. Jump and shoot. Jump and shoot. So very basic... So easy to pick up and play. Sure, add in the shoulder buttons to switch weapons (and sometimes the C Stick becomes involved...) but for the most part it stays VERY simple. 10/10.
Plot: It's usually "Dr. Wily has built evil robots trying to take over city, go beat him." They deviate from this once, in MM6. But it STILL ends up being roughly the same... so unoriginal. But for what it is, it's good. (And the arcade games have no plot. Just fights. Whee.) 5/10.
Difficulty: ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE TO RATE. The games vary in difficulty so much you can't do it. Ranging from the insanely easy 2, 3 and arcade games to the evil 1, this is an excellent example of catering to all. N/A
Overall: Megaman fans, get this now. You won't be disappointed replaying all 8 of the original games. Now, if we could just get an X series collection... 7/10, as the game is mostly rereleases with extras, kinda like a special edition DVD movie or something.
