The clouds overhead were bleak and distastful, and covered the sky with an urksome grey hue. The ground was swamped slightly, and a horrid smell wafted on the dank, dry breeze. It was dark under the impaling shadow of the ominous sky as a lone figure walked silently across the forsaken wastelands.
He wore all black; from his leather jacket, to his pants; to the boots on his feet and the leather gloves on his hands. The only physical features belonging to this figure that were not black were his skin, which was white, and his hair, which was a soft, shiny brown.
He was tall. Taller than most men of that age, at the least. Across his shoulder lay a massive and malicious blade, which he called Medraeigus. It was an incredible 7' long, with spiteful spikes on the ends. The figure's face was no more, if not less kindly looking. His eyes were narrow, constantly glaring...as if he were peering into the past or future, or something beyond both...
The man tromped firmly and quickly across the wasted, charred, accursed soil of the wasteland to a small, greyish tower. There was little about it that made it look and different than any other small structure of the year 2536; it was tall and sleek, with various shades running dabbled across it. It seemed to gleam at him as he walked through its doors...
He walked up some stairs and into the main room of the structure. In the middle of it sat a small, quirky little man at a desk, his back faced to the dark man. When he heard the man enter, he swiveled in his fancy chair and faced him.
"Well, so it is you...I finally get to meet the infamous Zagur Verxia myself. I have heard so much about you. I truly am honored that you would accept my little offer..."
The little man had scrawny, twisted whitish-brown hair, and the most laughable twirly mustache ever known to the history of mankind. He wore white lab coat, and some dress shoes that seemed out of fashion to the times. A smile was twisted across his awkward face. He rubbed his hands as he expected his response from his hired warrior.
Zagur gave little reply to the odd man's strange manner. He only spoke words the only manner he ever did- short and unhomely. "Idle talk is meaningless. Tell me what you called me here for, Sarmir."
Sarmir stopped rubbing his grubby paws together and began to twist his mustache. "Oh yes, very well. But before we begin, where is your up-and-coming apprentice? You said you wanted him to join you on this mission...where is he?"
Zagur walked over to Sarmir and looked him straight in the eye. "Sulvrin will be here...I signalled him a while ago. He should arrive any minute. When he does, you will begin to debrief us on our mission." Zagur said forcefully.
"Oh, why yes, of course!" Sarmir said, nervous around this powerful dark warrior. "Well, um, as soon as he is here, we can begin!"

Sulvrin quietly sat in a chair in his ‘house’ in the deserted city. As he sat there, slowly drinking a bottle of beer, he looked over at the clock. “Oh snap!” He said as he saw the time. Zagur wanted me to be at the tower in the wasteland in five minutes! He thought as he chugged down the rest of the beer. He then jumped up from the chair, put on his back leather pilot jacket on and ran out the door. He ran out to behind his house and jumped into his small fighter-ship. In just a few seconds, the sleek, black ship was in the air and speeding toward the wastelands.
From the cold, damp wastelands, and small roar could be heard as Sulvrin’s ship approached at tremendous speeds. After a few minutes of flying around, Sulvrin finally spotted the tower. He slowed the ship down greatly, and brought it to rest the soggy ground.
He climbed out of his ship and started walking to the tower. Almost as soon as Sulvrin had gotten out of his ship, had rain started to pour out of the sky. It dripped down from his orange spiked hair and ran in little streams down his black clothes. Although he didn’t mind the rain, it still made Sulvrin run a little faster toward the shelter of the tower.
Dripping wet, Sulvrin burst through the tower doors. As he stepped in, he saw Zagur and another, strangely dressed, man in the room. “So what’s up? What did you want me to come here for?” Sulvrin asked Zagur.

Sarmir jumped a little as Sulvrin burst into the room unexpectedly. He looked at the soaked figure, and scratched his funny head of hair.
“How can it be raining? It hasn’t done that for at least a year here in the wasteland…”
Zagur turned to Sarmir and said in a terse voice, “The weather matters not. Tell us our mission. Now.”
“Oh, um…yes…right away…” Sarmir said, unnerved at the power in Zagur’s voice. He walked over to his desk again and pressed a button on its side. A large high-tech screen popped out. It had the entire map of Corvina on its surface.
“I’m sure that you are aware of the recent attack on Puralgatha. Though it is unclear as to whom the saboteurs were, or their motives, they have failed. We want to wage war against them, but we do not have the strength we did twenty years ago when we last fought against Zetfa, though we are regaining strength at a rapid pace, and in a month or so, our country shall be more powerful than it has ever been in the history of Fyia. Then, we shall destroy Zetfa’s capital.
“But for now, we cannot overpower them. This recent incident has upped their awareness of danger, and their defenses have surely doubled. That is where you two come in.”
Sarmir zoomed in the map screen, and then continued to debrief them. “…This is Corvina, Zetfa’s greatest ally. Were we to attack Zetfa, Corvina would be an eternal thorn in our side. We must strike them down first, and then go for the greater goal. And to destroy the whole, it is best if you first destroy the head. However, we have never discovered the secret location of their top military headquarters, inside of Mt. Corvitan. I want you two to find it for us. You can do what you will to the city…you can even assail it alone, if you wish…I don’t care. Just make certain that you come back to us alive with the information. Is everything clear?”
Zagur walked within four feet of Sarmir, with his traditional evil eye glaring at him the whole time. He spoke to him in his deep, low, terse voice that so depicted his personality.
“So you want us to find and infiltrate their main military base. I want to know……exactly how much are we getting paid for this?”
Sarmir shook for a moment, frightened again by the massively powerful man in front of him. “Umm… you’ll receive about……250,000 Zethar (Fyian currency), if you find the base. …Is…that enough?”
“That’ll be fine.” Zagur turned away from Sarmir and slowly stride towards the door, hefting his massive 7’ long blade upon his shoulder. “Come, Sulvrin. We shall demonstrate our power.”
With that, Zagur walked through the door, and headed towards Sulvrin’s sleek fighter…

"125,000 Zethar for me! That'll be able to buy... something I want." Sulvrin said quietly as he followed Zagur out the door. As they were walking to the ship over the soggy ground, Sulvrin explained to Zagur why he was late. "Sorry about being late... I was just havin' a drink, ya know... Priorities first" He explained.
They both got into Sulvrin's ship shortly after. "Are you ready?" Sulvrin asked, but without waiting for an answer, he pulled the ship off of the ground, circled the tower once for fun, then blasted off toward Corvina.
Speeding towards Corvina at about 3,000 mph, the long trip took just a few minutes long. When they were finally over Corvina, Sulvrin looked down. "There's the mountain range! Where should we land? The headquarters should be somewhere around here." Sulvrin asked Zagur.

Sarmir walked over to a window in his office room and looked outside. Sulvrin’s sleek black fighter shot across the sky in an instant, and was out of sight in seconds. All Sarmir could see now was the black streaks trailing far behind it.
Sarmir closed the blinds around the window and walked back over to his desk. He began to rub his hands together, while his twisty mustache curled up. His plan was in motion now. Nothing could stop his new plan for power…control... and most importantly, the deaths of his opponents. None of those fat fools sitting in Puralgatha’s Council have any idea of my master plan…by the time they do, it will be too late Sarmir thought to himself, a creepy smile inching across his round face.
Even if they do discover my plan and even attempt to oppose the armies of Urgidon, they cannot hope to defeat Zagur. And by that time…I will have obtained all the ‘energy’ that the ‘Harvester’ finds for me! I shall be unstoppable! Mwa, ha, ha!
Sarmir entertained this thought for a moment longer, before he walked over to his desk and sat down. He typed in a message to the highest ranking officer under him, reading:
[shadow=blue,left,300]Admiral Scourge~1400 hours, 3/14/2536
I have sent Zagur on his way to find Corvitan HQ. The young but highly skilled Sivcon Revolnet is accompanying him on this mission. Have your fleet ready by 0400 hours. We are going to strike fast and hard. There is no need to wait; the sooner we strike at Corvina’s head, the sooner I can begin my energy harvesting operation. It may take your entire fleet, but do not hesitate. If we win here, we shall have the first major victory of this war we need. If you or I do not hear from Zagur or Sivcon by 0100 hours, then this plan is to be scraped until we hire more mercenaries to find the base. I will be sending some of my forces elsewhere to further our cause and support.
Failure is not an option. Once Corvitan is crushed, Corvina will lack the power to interfere with us at Zetfa. By then, if any other countries dare to challenge us, it will be too late. I trust you shall return successful. However, should you fail, I have plans for a secondary attack, though it would displease me to be forced to spend so many resources over the destruction of one base in a planet full of them. I hope you gain success, for your sake.
This message and all related data is to be terminated immediately after you read it.
Priority General and Head of Bio Faction, Sarmir Drachen[/shadow]
Sarmir smiled as he got up from his seat and walked to the main hanger. “Take me to Central Command” he ordered to his lackeys, who immediately prepared a private transport fighter for their superior. In a matter of minutes, the crafty General of the Urgidon Army flew off across the darkening red sky to his destination.
All that remains now is waiting for Zagur and Sivcon to find the base Sarmir thought as he flew out of sight from the small base.
His plan now depended on two solitary figures, thousands of miles away, in the Icy Mountains of Corvina…
