An unexpected technique indeed.
D was surprised with this. Yet not fully unaware that things like this might happen, hence the defensive spell which he was preparing, he stepped bak on his right foot and held his left hand out infront of him, where Zagur was attacking.
He isnt expecting this one at all.
Zagurs sword went straight at D's outstreched hand, the spell he cast was only powerfull enough to clense the enemies sword of energy, not to stop the blade.
he better be good enough to dodge this or its all over for him.
Medraeigus shot straight throuh Ds arm inpaling it, D grabbed the blade with his left hand and with all his might swung at Zugar with his own blade
" Die."

When Zagur saw Dunpeal use his magic to not only absorb back his energy, but to grab his sword, his left hand instinctively shot for the hilt on his left side. Zagur never flinched. As Dunpeal swung his blade at him, Zagur brought up his second blade, Xuyurga, in front of himself with a backhanded sweep.
Clink!
Dunpeal’s blade was held at bay by Zagur’s two foot long sword, literally inches away from his face. Zagur smiled slightly once again, with a subtly evil gleam in his eye. He kept Xuyurga locked with D’s blade and complimented his opponent.
“I must congratulate you” Zagur said with a twisted sincerity. “I did not expect that last maneuver from you. You are strong indeed.”
At that moment, Medraeigus began to glow a bright orange color. The energy around it started looking more like a sharp spear every moment.
“Yes, strong. But not truly strong.” At that, Zagur unleashed the energy in his blade to try and pierce Dunpeal’s flesh. The bright orange spear-head shaped energy shot towards Dunpeal insanely fast. At this close range, blocking or dodging was nearly impossible.
[glow=purple,2,300]If he does not let go of my blade quickly, his hand will be torn off [/glow]Zagur thought, snickering slightly on the inside as he did.
[glow=purple,2,300]I hope Sulvrin is enjoying himself, because I am. I haven’t had such a challenge in a long time. He even came close to wounding me. If he had, that would have been a first.[/glow]

This man, he is tremendous, but not everyone is invincible, it will be wise to retreat for now and return later.
D was staring death in the form of orange energy straight in the eye, secounds away from parashing, however somthing intervened. D's faithful horse jumped in the way of the blast ripping the beast into shreads. The impact of the deadly blast knocked D back 20 paces.
Ok. Im alive, but my horse is dead how am I supposed to get out of here?
In a desperate attempt to survive this bloody battle D spent the last of his remaining energy to blast himself out of the dispute, and onto firm ground where he than walked off to a resting place where he could recover and train to get better so he could keep the reputation of never failing to finish his job.

Zagur smirked as horse flesh and blood spilled out all over him as Dunpeal’s horse attempted to save its master. Looking down at the bloody remains of what used to be a living animal, Zagur found pleasure in its sudden, quick suffering. But before Zagur could launch another attack, Dunpeal had used a form of magic to knock himself backwards about 20 steps back. Zagur stood there and watched in slight amusement as Dunpeal scrambled away to safety. But instead of pursuing his fleeting foe, Zagur turned around and walked the other way.
[glow=purple,2,300]I’ll let him live for now. Besides, it would be more enjoyable to battle him again than to kill him now.[/glow]
Zagur put Medraeigus back upon his right shoulder and held it in place with his leather strap. He walked nonchalantly to where Sulvrin had been during the entire fight.
[glow=purple,2,300]He should feel honored[/glow] Zagur thought to himself about Dunpeal. [glow=purple,2,300]If he hadn’t earned my respect, I would have hunted him down and slain him here and now. I wish he had given me his name. I wish to know who it is that gave me such pleasure in combat today. I suppose I can ask him before I kill him the next time we meet.[/glow]
Zagur leaned up against the building that Sulvrin was sniping from, relaxed and unfatigued from his fight with Dunpeal. He had only broken a sweat because of the heat from D’s fire attack. Zagur looked up calmly and called his partner.
“Wrap it up, Sulvrin. We’re done.”
Having said that, Zagur walked back over in the middle of the previous battleground and admired all the death and carnage he had caused.
[glow=purple,2,300]These pitiful fools have fulfilled their purpose in their death. They were destined to do so. [/glow]

As Zagur and Dunpeal faught, Sulvrin stopped sniping and watched. He only needed three more hits to break his old record, but he could just get them later. Sulvrin crouched low on the roof as he watched Zagur dominate the fight. At one point, he picked up his CDR again and, by looking through the scope, aimed it directly at D's head. With the pull of a trigger, I could end this right now! But I wouln't, because this is fun to watch, and I don't want to make Zagur mad at me. I just love having this power! He thought. He watched the fight until the end.
After the fight was over, Zagur walked over to Sulvrin's building and told him to come down. "Wait just a few seconds... I still have to break my old record."
Sulvrin resumed his sniping again... BZZZT! "99." Cha ching! "100." Cha ching! "101!" Cha ching! "There! My record is broken! Now It is 101. I'm coming now..." Sulvrin said. And with that, he put away his counter and climbed down to Zagur.

Zagur gazed at his partner with the same narrowed expression he always wore. Zagur watched silently as Sulvrin finally broke his record of 100 kills in one sitting. He had set that record a few months ago. Zagur was pleased to see that his disciple was gaining skill and power.
“Return to the ship” Zagur said firmly to Sulvrin. “There is something I must get first. Or rather, many things.”
Zagur extended his hand and closed his eyes. Dark, crackling energy formed from his fingertips. Then, bright transparent blue sphere-like silhouettes began to rise up from the dead bodies off all the dead soldiers lying on the ground. They all swirled about majestically in a melancholy dance, and then they all floated over to Zagur like flies to a porch light…
The blue orbs began to absorb into Zagur’s body. He flashed a bright blue whenever one entered his body. Zagur began to look like a sick lighthouse; he flashed blue over a hundred times in rapid succession. Zagur closed his eyes and smiled darkly.
“Ahhhh…power. Come to me…empower me, those who have fulfilled your destiny…”
Zagur’s limbs rippled with energy; he could feel himself getting stronger with each blue sphere he absorbed. Finally, there were no more orbs left to join themselves to Zagur; he had obtained all of them.
“I’m done. Let’s go” Zagur said to Sulvrin, who was ahead of him in walking towards the exit.
Zagur began to slowly trudge back through the tunnel towards the snowy light...
[glow=purple,2,300]The harvest here is complete. For now.[/glow]

Sulvrin stopped and watched as Zagur sucked the stuff out of the dead people. Wow! What is that? Is he sucking the energy out of them? Sulvrin thought as he watched. Then, once that was done, Zagur started heading back to the ship and Sulvrin followed.
Again, they both walked through the small rock tunnel, through the holographic wall that Sulvrin liked, and back into the snowy mountains. Sulvrin pressed a button and the ship's cockpit opened up. Sulvrin got in first, and then Zagur got in. Sulvrin brought the ship back up into the air hovered there for a little while as he got ready. Then, he flew over the top of the city, and down itno where they just were. "I have to do one more thing before I leave..." He told Zagur. He fired a few laser shots down at the building which he was sniping from. There was a giant explosion, as the building got completely destroyed.
"Ok, that's done. Where do we go now?" He asked Zagur.

Zagur smirked slightly as the bright reflection of enormous flames danced in his cold eyes. He had unstrapped Medraeigus and laid it beside him on the floor of the ship. Zagur then turned his attention to his disciple, Sulvrin.
“We make for Argidon” he replied in a short voice. “We were told to return to the capitol of Urgidon once we finished.”
As Sulvrin turned back around and fired up the ship’s engines, Zagur looked down to the wasted remains below. He caught a glimpse of Dunpeal’s weary form, hiding behind a building. A dark gleam shone in his eye, and a small, evil grin crept onto Zagur’s hardened face.
[glow=purple,2,300]Farewell, magic-user. I am greatly anticipating our next encounter. I hope that you will not disappoint me.[/glow] Zagur thought, as if he were speaking to his opponent in person. [glow=purple,2,300]When we do meet again, I will learn your name. I wish to know who has given me such pleasure in demonstrating my power…[/glow]
Flames poured from the back of Sulvrin’s thrusters. The sleek fighter blasted through the holographic wall, and sped off towards Argidon, just as fast as it had come.

Dunpeal watched as his job flew away in the aircraft, hating that man with the most intense of hatreds. Me defeated by that thing… why? Why couldn’t I kill him? What is it about this despicable man? Such shame is overwhelming; I can not bear this feeling. It’s like throwing salt onto an open gash in your side. I will kill him, no matter what. I will use all of my being to destroy him.Dunpeal then proceeded to leave his position to go train himself in the wasteland. D knew of some monsters whose strength was tremendous, it would indeed get him up to speed with this new threat. But first he needed some transportation. He went over to one of the corpses and picked it up. D then proceeded to make a shape on the ground with the mangled body. He spread out the arms and legs so the body was in the shape that you use to make a snow angel. Then he cast a spell and the corpse started to float, D jumped on the limp body and rode away on it kinda like a magic carpet, except this magic carpet dripped blood.
