ive heard sepulturis. Arent they the ones that do songs in brazillian sometimes....maybe thats arcturis. they are a metal band too. i dont really like heavy metal. All the good stuff is in 80s, 90s alternative and ska. no new stuff is good anymore. People are just cookie cutter bands. Its so messed up. They all sound the same...i want some groundbreaking music.

Iron Maiden sound the same as Judas Priest and they are both 80's bands. Besides, Cradle of Filth is VERY different from other new bands. As for Malice Mizer, well, they have broken up ages ago.

Cradle of Filth is nu-metal.
Here's my updated list:
Iced Earth(power metal) Old Man'sChild(death metal) Killswitch Engage(heavy metal) Type O Negative(goth/doom metal) Meshuggah(progressive death metal) Tool(?)
Other bands: Rage Against The Machine Behemoth etc...
Metal will never be 'groundbreaking' until people stop choosing to be ignorant. Most of the bands I like are unique. Iced Earth is very remniscient of classic 80's stuff but every single album they have made was a concept album. Old Man's Child is a great band that uses classical-esque sfx from their keyboard to dramatize their songs. Killswitch Engage had an excellent lead singer(jesse leach), they are also one of the heaviest bands I have heard without trying hard to be heavy. Type O Negative is "The best non-comedy comedy band"to quote a friend of mine, they have lots of emotion-filled songs. Meshuggah is a VERY technical band, every song is intricate and a masterpiece, they use odd timing scales, 8-string guitars, and have one of the most unique sounds ever. Tool is hard to explain but they have one of the best singers ever(maynard james keenan).

Rock on man....RAge against the machine is tight. One of my favs. I like sound garden too. But rage against hte machine and sound garden together as Audioslave...i really dont like them. OH and Iron Maiden is cool too...they dont really fit intot he metal category that double is talking about tho. OH and cradle of filth stinks....they are so weird man. I think...im gonna just start my own metal band...cause tehre are so many metal bands...and barely any are that good...only a select few. its messed up

Hey!!!!!!!
Rage Against the Machine rocks. And I like Iron Madien. But Audioslave is good too.
Hey, have you heard of Slave Machine. It's my uncles band and he said they've been on the radio a few times and they're pretty good. He's that bassist.
