Kruck trailed the man as descreetly as he could. The guy stopped and looked at a house, and suddenly, the house was frozen; the man had done it with some sort of gun built into his arm, or so it seemed.
Damn....this guy likes killing people....
Kruck stopped; he was thinking very hard about something.
Why am i trailing this dude? I mean, so what, he killed people. i'm supposed to like killing people, or at aleats like people who kill people. Maybe I should see if this guy would team up with me. It woudl be like back in the old days.
Kruck had made up his mind. He climbed out of the shadows and approached the man. "Excuse me. Yes, you. I couldn't help but notice you like killing people. Now don't think im a goody-goody, because I'm not."
Kruck looked at the guy to see if he was listening; it appeared he was.
"Let me get to the point. I, too, am evil. I want to ask you, would you join up with me?"
Wait...what about truinis?
Crap.
The one with the trenchcoat looked over the guy. He looked like he hated everything, even life itself. It was guys like this that the evil side could use in this war. But, Trunis wa shis friend. He had to ask.
"Only.....one little thing. You said something about Truinis, the lizard-man, earlier. Do you not like him?"

Mahandronis stopped and turned around, seeing the being speak to him. He was curious that it was looking for direct contact even after it had seen what he'd done.
[glow=silver,2,300]Human, I suppose. Why are there so many of them on Fyia?[/glow]
He thought about this proposal, and smiled.
[glow=silver,2,300]"I don't even feel a need to have you along. I've seen no demonstration of power from you that suggests you are even capable of assisting in what I hope to achieve . . . And what's this about being evil? That's not the issue at hand. What I am dealing with is love. Or rather, the elimination thereof."[/glow]
He thought next about the second question. Triunis. Kasyune. Tall, lizardly creature. Mahandronis had never liked him.
[glow=silver,2,300]"I have many things against many people. Triunis I dislike not because of his politics - which are very beneficial to my cause - but because of a certain . . . accessory he wears."[/glow]
It sounded far-fetched coming from Mahandronis, but it was the truth. The fact of the matter was, however, that the nature of the accessory was beyond comprehension of most people.
[glow=silver,2,300]"What interest do you have in wanting me to join you? What purpose do you serve by destroying things?"[/glow]

Longshanks strode throught the streets of Puralgatha with a swift gait; he was anxious to find the Mahandronis and destroy it. At another time he would have stopped and marveled at the construction of the floating city, for is was reminiscent of the design of the great flying cities that soared through the clouds in the top atmospheres of colonised gas giant planets in the Orion Arm. But now was not the time to stand around gawking nostalgically--now was the time to hunt, to seek out a terrible evil and stop it before it could complete its fell task.
Smoke rose on the horizon, drawing Longshanks' attention. 'Might as well start there,' the Orion thought to himself, and, signaling for Triunis to follow him with one of his broad ravenesque wings, he took off at a dash, his long legs carrying him swiftly. He reached the source in about a minute, and saw a house several stories tall with inky black smoke pouring out of the windows in clouds. Assuming that Mahandronis was finished there, and hoping that no one remained within--he couldn't use his empathy with his neural inhibitor on, which it was because he was now in a city--Longshanks continued running down the street. Along the way he passed a house covered in solid ice, and his heart went out to those he knew must be frozen within; perhaps they could be revived if they were frozen . . .
Longshanks almost ran into a man wearing a long black trench coat similar to his own as he turned a corner, and he checked himself just in time to prevent himself crashing headlong into the man's back. He was about to continue his search for the Mahandronis when he realized that he'd found the fell Relic--and that the man with whom he'd almost collided was speaking with it. Wrath kindled in his heart at the sight of the Mahandronis, but he suppressed it, focusing instead on picture of Mellira in his mind's eye, the memory of her warmth in his arms when he had lifted her into the autodoc, trying to banish his hate for the Relic with the feelings of affection he felt for the young woman. He remembered still his humiliating defeat in the desert town of Dathomir at the hands of the Mahandronis--or perhaps not quite the same entity anymore--and remembered also his revelation that hate and rage seemed only to fuel its strength, and the theory that perhaps love would have the opposite effect . . .
Rearing up, back straight with the pride of his race, his wings spread to their maximum span in a display of grandeur that few humans could match, Longshanks cried forth his challenge. "Abomination! Your work must stop! Cease the wanton destruction of life! Halt your quest for the destruction of love and joy! Comply or you will face dire consequences!" Longshanks' voice carried with the full force of his deep, powerful lungs, sounding forth in a clarion roar that resounded from the sides of the buildings, resonating with defiance.

Triunis watched his friend run and charged after him. Treachus were many things, and quick was one of them. He stopped as he saw the Orion speaking to the source of Triunis' hate, the Mahandronis.
***************
Mahandronis stopped as he tried to place the voice. As he turned, he recognized a creature he had seen earli - no. That Setthirosa had seen earlier, in Dathomir and the wastelands. He remembered the Archarialite blasting the creature's wings to pieces, all at the Relic's command. Also, he saw Kasyune, the king of the foul world that beared his name.
Perfect. Both in one place.
He smiled in a most sinister manner as he spoke.
[glow=silver,2,300]"I've seen people beg me to spare their lovers, and I've killed those they care for most slowly in front of them. I've escaped the jurisdiction of the most powerful beings in the universe, and I've even defied the laws of time and space. What makes you think I'll stop just because some foolish . . . liveling thinks I should?"[/glow]
Mahandronis spread his arms and floated into the air. In moments, his twin shotguns were in his hands, and he crossed them in front of his face. Snapping his goggles into place on his eyes, he grinned just as Setthirosa once had.
[glow=silver,2,300]"You will find that love is not as powerful as mortals think."[/glow]
With that, he pointed one of the guns at the Orion, one at Triunis, and prepared to open fire with a machine gun-like hail. ***************
"Hah. This is too perfect."
There was a swooping noise, and a tall white being landed between the three. Alexander wore a horrible grin upon his face as he spoke.
"They say one in the hand is worth two in the bush. What do you suppose two in the hand is worth? I'd say three hundred million Shards at least, plus a seat as an Angel of Life."
***************
Triunis suddenly realized what had happened; Alexander had shown up now to capture Mahandronis and himself to turn them in for a reward. That was what he was doing here.
"Alexander, you don't know what you're doing!
***************
"On the contrary. I know perfectly."
He snapped his fingers, and his enormous sword appeared in his hand.
"You can come willingly, or I can destroy you both. It's really up to you."

(PP:)
"Well, I want you to join me so we can join forces: double the trouble, ya know? And i can't say i hate love, although I certainly don't have any use for it, and I most certainly do not like it. And I just like destroying things. It's who I am."
Kruck smirked; this man was obviously powerful, but almost as obviously full of crap; it seemed that this man who dispised love thought himself to be invincible.
The man with the flowing trenchcoat turned around, his thoughts interupted by the sound of approaching footsteps. He looked closely at the being. He was not short, nor tall, rather in between. It was easy to see, even though he was talking about love, he hated.
How odd. People sure have weird ideas about things on this planet. Though it does make for a quite interesting time, for sure.
But this was not the only being to join them. Who came up and joined them then the one they were speaking of, Truinis? Yes, he's alive!
Truinis, it appeared, was this man's enemy also. The evil man floated up in the air, two gunas taking shape at the end of each arm.
This has the makings to be rather interesing.
Kruck thought excitedly. Fyia had begun to bore him lately; he was in need of some excitement.

A large shadow seemed to hover in the sky, watching the angel being intently, surrounded by a blinding gold. Slowly, it began lowering itself until it could clearly hear and see what the group below was saying and doing. The form of a small girl began appearing as she got farther and farther from the sun's gaze. Swirling around her lithe body, her hair hair shone brilliantly, mixing with the soft white dress that flapped around her ankles.
"You can come willingly, or I can destroy you both. It's really up to you." the winged man said. She kept lowering herself until she reached the ground, not 3 feet away from the man.
"You shall do no such thing," she said, her voice unusually powerful. " Do what you like with that," she motioned to the Mahandronis, "But if you touch a single scale of Triunis, I shall do my best to grind you to a pulp and make sure you never return." Pausing, she looked at Kruck.
"Why are you here, conversing with -that-? No, not conversing, plotting." she asked, stepping aside so she could fully see Kruck. She scanned the group, her gaze falling upon Longshanks. "I'm glad to know I'm not going to be the only one fighting for love, among other things. " she glanced back at Triunis, a small smile forming on her face.

Mahandronis and Alexander looked at each other, looked at Chii, and then looked at Triunis and spoke in unison.
"Who's this?" [glow=silver,2,300]"Who's this?"[/glow]
Triunis looked at Chii, saw her sweet smile, and a look of horror crossed his face as he realized what was about to happen. He ran forward, grabbed his friend by the sholders, and whispered into her ear.
"Chii! If you stay here, you're dead! These two want me dead, and one of them . . . look, just run! Get as far away as you c-"
He was knocked off his feet by the flat of Alexander's blade. He landed on the ground, rubbing his sholder as the Angel-Born spoke.
"If you've got something to say, say it to me!"
Triunis looked up and coughed. He looked at his hand and saw it had blood on it. Clenching his fist, he shouted towards Alexander.
"I am not your enemy! Mahandronis is! You're going to kill us both and get THAT thing a clear path for destroying all love!"
[glow=Silver,2,300]"Quite right."[/glow]
Triunis looked up to see a smiling Mahandronis with both of his massive shotguns pointed at Chii's head.
[glow=silver,2,300]"This one is so full of joy, full of love . . . How could I have let her survive till now?"[/glow]
Triunis and Alexander looked on, each with a seperate expression of despair. The monarch stared at Mahandronis, looking almost as though he would cry.
"Kill me. Fire all those bullets into me, but spare that girl. Ple . . ."
He realized that this was exactly what the Relic was looking for. Imploringly, he looked at Chii.
"I'm sorry, Chii."
((Sorry, this gets quite confusing with three characters. I'll try to keep it simple.))

Longshanks stood silent as newcomers appeared, still deciding how best to go about respinding to the Mahandronis. First, a strange creature with great wings, dressed in white robes, descended, claiming some odd proverb or somesuch and commanding Triunis and Mahandronis to go with him willingly or be destroyed. Then, a small female descended nigh to this 'Alexander,' as Triunis called the winged one, and informed him that if he harmed Triunis, she would do her best to annihilate him. Longshanks was impressed by this obvious act of love, and he was almost sorry that his neural inhibitor was blanketing his empathy, for a person that felt so strongly would have an interesting presence. But if his neural inhibitor were off, he would not be able to fight, which could prove deadly, especially in this situation. He remembered the encounter in the wastelands with some amount of abashment, and scratched his beard.
As the newcomer addressed him with her comment about others fighting for love, Longshanks smiled, an image of Mellira hovering behind his eyes. "Indeed," he acknowledged the girl's acknowledgement. He had a definite purpose, the Orion thought, and it could not be chanced that the Mahandronis survive. It had to be terminated.
Suddenly, a scuffle broke between Triunis and Alexander, and moments later the Mahandronis had its guns pointed at the girl while Triunis begged that it spare her. This situation was fell indeed, and Longshanks' sense of honor kicked in with a vengeance, as well as his compassion. Stepping between Mahandronis and Chii, as he guessed her name to be, Longshanks drew his falchion and prepared to feel pain. He would do that which he could to prevent the suffering of a female, whether he knew her or not, and furthermore, it was obvious that she loved Triunis, however unfathomable that was, and he would try to alleviate the suffering of both her and his lizard friend as much as he could, even at risk of his own life. He spread his black wings proudly, doing his best to hide Chii from Mahandronis' line of sight, raising his adamantium blade in a defensive position. He hoped fervently that if he should be wounded that he would survive and be able to see Mellira again, and he knew that he would fight like Hel to keep alive if mortally wounded. "Fall back, abomination, or you will suffer!" he cried out at the Mahandronis, a stoic expression dominating his stony face.

Triunis charged forward and stood next to Longshanks. He knew that Mahandronis might fire, and wanted to make sure he did not. suddenly realized something: the Mahandronis would be injured and confused by love. He would try to destroy it, but in the long run, it would weaken the Relic. Triunis looked around for the nearest thing to himself which would fortify feelings of love, threw himself onto it, and kissed it full on the cheek. The fact that this was Chii seemed of little concern to him.
*******************
The Mahandronis looked furious. He could feel intense pain at the two creature's feelings for one another.
[glow=silver,2,300]"You imbiciles have no idea what you're doing. At all."[/glow]
The Relic knew that love was the issue. It was obvious that "Chii" was in love with Triunis, and equally obvious that he had . . . some form of love for her, romantic or otherwise.
[glow=silver,2,300]"Well, that is acceptable. Dying requires no thought process."[/glow]
He pulled the triggers of his guns, and a hail-like rain of photon bullets flew down onto the people below.
******************
"No!"
Alexander held up his hand, and the majority of the bullets stopped in the air, falling harmlessly around the people before him. He didn't want Longshanks or the girl to die. And as for Triunis . . .
[glow=blue,2,300]Saya was right.[/glow]
I know she was.
***********************
Triunis looked up, and tried to get in front of Chii, shielding her from the bullets. With his tail, the monarch tried to trip Longshanks in an attempt to get him down. He began chanting an incantation, and a swirling blue vortex surrounded him and his friends.
I hoped I wouldn't have to use it, but it looks as though I will . . .
Around his neck, a small amulet began to shake . . .

(This is so exciting ^.^) Kruck had a slight look of disgust on his face; no, he did not hate love such as this creature Mehondris did, but he flt no need for it, and it often repulsed him. "Peh. . . you would really die for someone else? That is just plain stupid." He did not quite know who he was saying this to, probably to all three of these people who seemed to want to die. (longshanks, chii, and truniis) Kruck glanced at the creature who now had two guns cocked, aimed, and ready to kill. "Well, will you just shoot somebody already? This is starting to become rather uninteresting." Kruck looked hard at the girl...did he know her? Yeah! That was Chii. And then Truinis had saved his life at least once. I owe him something....and Chii's always been nice to me....He decidedly pulled a pistol out of his trenchcoat. He pointed it at mehondris, exclaiming: "Or maybe you should die!" (Hee hee hee )

(( Erk! I had a nice long post and then my computer screwed up >.<.. I'll have to timewarp the post, though. ))
"I'd do anything for you. Which includes staying by your side 'til the bitter end." she said as Triunis grabbed her shoulders, her eyes determined. Moments later, she found herself with two large shotguns pointed at her. "I'd die for you, too. I'm not particularly needed here. You still have a country to rule." she pointed out, ignoring the guns. "Don't be sorry."
As the man she barely even knew went to defend her and Triunis, she bit her lip, hoping that by coming here to help Triunis, she hadn't caused more trouble for him and the ones fighting with him. Suddenly, she felt a large kiss planted on her cheek. Turning her head slightly, she saw it was Triunis. A bright smile came across her face, regardless of the perilous situation.
He loves me? she wondered, but was interrupted by the rain of bullets very easily could've killed them. She dipper her head in thanks at Alexander, smiling gratefully.
As Kruck pointed his gun at the monstrosity, she realized it was highly outnumbered. It couldn't be that hard to kil it if everyone did their best. Without even meaning for it to, a large pink buble formed around her and began shrinking until it looked only like an aura of some sort, although it was more of a casing.
She took a thread of her magic, and pulled on it until there was a reasonable amount. Gathering it in her hand, it began melting and slowly formed into a large blob. She shifted it from hand to hand, never letting it stay in one place for too long, waiting for something to happen.

Mahandronis looked around him, and began to realize that the odds were not in his favor. Even a Relic had limitations. Some Relics, anyway, and he was included with that. His face was covered with an angry sneer as he spoke.
[glow=silver,2,300]"It amazes me how foolish you creatures can be. What are you fighting for? You are resisting the inevitable. And I can't even respect you because of how pathetic your reasoning is. You do not understand."[/glow]
He floated higher, his guns starting to glow.
[glow=silver,2,300]"You do . . . not . . .
. . . understand."[/glow]
He aimed the weapons in two different directions and pulled the trigger. One shot off for Alexander, and the other for Chii, making whirring noises as they cut through the air.
******************
"Ahhh!"
Alexander felt the bullet lodge in his side and fell to the ground, a pained expression on his face. He didn't want to die this way. Not now. Not because of the creature who shot him.
******************
Triunis saw the bullet and barely had time to react. He jumped in front of it and it slammed into his sholder. An explosion of pain surged down his arm and through his chest as the photon fizzled and dissipated. He dropped to his knees, biting his lower lip. At least Chii was safe.
[glow=purple,2,300]You are all fools. You know this? I cannot BELIEVE that you are doing this. I cannot BELIEVE that you're letting Mahandronis do this, and I cannot BELIEVE that you are putting others before yourself.
. . . I like it. Perhaps I'll help you out. Then again, perhaps I'll laugh in your face as you get beaten down by a piece of scrap metal.[/glow]
Triunis heard the voice in his head, and wondered if he was hallucinating. The voice was not one he'd thought he'd hear again. But if it was real, his life was now on the roulette wheel, and someone else was spinning it.
