Kruck strode down the cobbled street leading into the city. Many a passerby walked by him, and equally as much were going into the city as he was. There were the poorest of poor, dressed in clothes that had been worn down by months of wearing them. Then there was the poor, who were just slightly above the former. And finally, there was the not poor-not rich, who were in better condition then the poor, easily.
Kruck continued on, his destination coming at last into sight. He was breathing slightly heavier then normal, for he'd been wlaking some time, first through part of the frozen mountains, and then on this infernal, seemingly never-ending road. However, much to his joy, he reached the city within 10 minutes after quickening his pace. He was walking into the city when a thought struck him.
We never agreed on a meeting place! I have no idea where to find them!
Kruck's downtrodden look on his face turned even more so. However, he decided quickly that he could do nothing about that now, and sat down on a nearby bench in hopes of catching sight of Cethyn and Mequidra.

[glow=gold,2,300]"Cethyn, I am uncertain that I will be unable to support you much longer. I think we are approaching our destination, however . . ."[/glow]
The wings that were Mequidra fluttered quickly. Through the insect's compound eyes, the shapeshifter spied the image of Kruck, fragmented over hundreds of different surfaces. Slowly, he landed next to him. Melting off his friend, Mequidra reformed into his normal self.
[glow=gold,2,300]"Ahh, Kruck. I thank you for coming here."[/glow]

Kruck was just catching some ZZZ's when....."Kruck I thank you for coming here"
Kruck sat up immediatly. "Heh heh heh, hey Mequidra, Cethyn." he greeted them nervously, with a nod to each of them. "Just umm...." Kruck couldn't think of anything else he could have been doing so he admitted he had fallen asleep.
"But only for a little while!". He then remembered what they were here for. He looked at meuqidra curiously. "So where exactly are we going?"
(oh and sol, this place IS underground ya know.....)

Cethyn twitched an antenna at Kruck in greeting, then looked around in state as close to nostalgia as an emotionless being can get. The whole Hive complex was underground, a massive cave. ((You said it was underground, yes?)) The insect was reminded of his home on Orion Prime, with the honeycombed nest constantly filled with the chattering and pheremones of a Cython Hive. Here though, it smelled of nothing but the stench of humans, unfamiliar sounds, and the strange angular structures the humans lived in.
The other half of Cethyn's mind was centered on the events at hand, and he turned to regard Mequidra, echoing Kruck's question. "Yes. Where are we going, Mequidra?"

((The word 'Mt.' implied a mountain from my point of veiw. I figured we'd be on the outside of it cause I didn't read the description of the area. My mistake.))
Mequidra considered this. The most useful thing to do would be to try to contact his homeworld, and his signals would be least disturbed high up.
[glow=gold,2,300]"We need to get to the top of the mountain, and we need to be outside of it. Can we perhaps get to the top on the inside and then find a way out?"[/glow]
He looked between the two. He guessed that Kruck knew the area better than he, so he waited for a response from him.

Kruck knew that Mequidra was counting on him. A determined look dawned on his face as he vowed to himself not to let his friend down.
He looked at Mequidra. "Although I've only been here several times, I have made a couple of friends that would know about this. Follow me, I'll take you to one of them."
Kruck turned on his heel, and didn't look back assuming he was being followe dby the two. He walked for a little while before entering a pub, "the sea". As he walked in he remebered his friends words from long ago when he'd last been here.
Well Kruck, if you ever want to find me, look in "the sea".....
Kruck scanned everybody in the place, and saw his friend almost immediatly. "Lets go guys, hes right over there" (sorry for the ending but I'm kinda letting you guys post about following me and w/e)

Mequidra looked skeptically at Kruck, but followed him anyway. He didn't like this place; it was colder than he was used to, and he felt that it would not take much of a temperature drop to freeze him solid. He turned and looked at Cethyn.
[glow=gold,2,300]"I assume you are following?"[/glow]

"Indeed," Cethyn replied to Mequidra, following somewhat stiffly. His joints were protesting against the cold, and he knew that his skinsuit was the only thing keeping him alive in this cold clime. He yearned, as much as an insect could yearn, for the warmth of Orion Prime, Dathomir, or Vogran.

As DarkUmbra strode along the indoor corridor and contemplated how to make the hallway about thirty times colder, he noticed one that he was well aquainted with. Noticing others however, his mist of shadows spiralled down him. He quickly summoned all of the nearby shadows to aid him once more in creating a staircase to his friend.
[glow=purple,2,300]Ahh Mequidra, funny to see you here.[/glow] He said amusingly.
[glow=purple,2,300]I may assist you in many ways. That is, if I am welcome.[/glow]
This became apparent as he quickly recreated his staircase to face up the mountain as opposed to down.

(Er Mequidra shouldn't you post here now? I guess I will.....)
Kruck then walked over to the familiar face, but stopped a coupla tables short. It was not who he'd thought it was, for one of the man's friends called him by the name 'Bob' which wasn't Kruck's old friend's name. Dissapointed, Kruck turned around, and opened his mouth to speak, but Mequidra and Cethyn wern't there!
Looking around, he couldn't spot either of them!hm....I wonder where they went?!

Mequidra blinked slowly and shifted around to see DarkUmbra standing there.
[glow=gold,2,300]"Mmm. DarkUmbra. I am afraid I have little time for you, though you may assist me if you desire . . . "[/glow]
He turned back to see Kruck a good distance away. Quickly dissolving, the shapeshifter took on the appearence of a large puddle of golden water. He flowed over to the human with the speed, grace, and power of an enormous river. He reformed next to his ally.
[glow=gold,2,300]"Your help is most useful. Let us see what your friend has to offer."[/glow]

Kruck turned to Mequidra with dissapointment written all over his face. Sighing, he announced, "welp Mequidra I was wrong, it appears my friend no longer works or comes here any more, I asked the manager. My friend died about 3 years ago. So I'm afraid I can't help you with this one."
Kruck glanced aorund him. "So, where'd Cethyn go?" he wondered aloud, still looking for him.

Walking in on an apperently odd conversation, DarkUmbra attemted to learn what was going on.
[glow=purple,2,300]Sooooooo. . . What's going on and what are we doing here?[/glow]

Mequidra looked at the shadow creature, his large eyes calculating his next move with speed and percision.
[glow=gold,2,300]"I must consider that. I have to find a way to get to the outside of this mountain . . ."[/glow]

Hearing his friend say this, DarkUmbra launched a bolt of shadow magic straight up apparently into noting, however a grate fell down. He created a latter and wriggled his writhed body up the vent.
[glow=purple,2,300]We cooooouuuuullllddd go this way, but on the exit there is a blizzard so fierce even I prefer the indoors. That's the extent of my ideas. Never mind.[/glow]
And with that, the mangle DarkUmbra dropped the seven feet and landed with a massive "HOLY **** THAT HURT!!" And realizing that the blizzard was making it down the vent, he closed it up with some industrial strength shadow magic.
