Gwythyr removed Zoe's plate and put it in the kitchen. Then he led the way upstairs, turning the restaurant lights off as they went. The staircase was long and turned at the middle, illuminated by a single bright light at the top of the stairs. Gwythyr opened a door in the hallway and turned on a light. The room inside was small but comfortable.
"This should serve you well," he said.

She stepped in. "Yes this is fine. Thank you." She said giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Your kindness will not go unreworded. Goodnight" Then she closed the door behind her.

Gwythyr stood in surprise after the door was closed. She'd kissed him! Of course, he did like her. I hope I can get a chance to find out a little more about her before I go tomorrow.
He turned out the lights and went to bed.

The next morning Gwythyr rose early, as usual. He explained to the cafe manager about the elf-maid in one of the rooms. The manager raised one eyebrow, but said it was fine. They prepared for and served the small group of people who regularly came in for breakfast. Zoe had not appeared, but that was to be expected.
After his shift ended and the restaurant was empty, Gwythyr took out his harp and began playing a wordless melody he'd been working on, with a haunting, Elvish tune. He hoped Zoe would hear it.

From the table she sat at in her room, she could hear him palying his harp. She put down her pencil and went to the window. She looked out at the landscape and began to sing.
Even though, the world is bleeding. But feeling just fine, all numb in the castle. Where we're always free to chose, never free enough to fight. I wish something would break, cause we're running out of time.
And Iam overcome, Iam overcome. Holy water in my lungs, Iam overcome.
Theres women in the street, pulling out their hair. My Masters in the yard, giving life to the unaware. This plastered little bit, is just a step amongst the stairs.
And Iam overcome, Iam overcome. Holy water in my lungs, Iam overcome.
So drive me out, out to that open field. Turn the egnition off, and spin around. Your help is here, but Im parked in this open space. Unlocking the gates of love.
And Iam overcome, Iam overcome baby. Holy water in my lungs, and Iam overcome. Iam overcome oh lord, Iam overcome. Beautiful drowning, this beautiful drowning. This holy water, this holy water! Is in my lungs, And Iam overcome!

There was a soft knock on the door and Gwythyr came in. He was still holding his harp.
"So you knew that song..." he said, looking at her in wonder. He was a little hesitant. "Was that you?"

"Well, I wanted to let you know that I'm going on a journey today," Gwythyr said. "I might not be back for a while. The manager says you can eat here on the house today. I hope to see you again after I come back."

She gave a faint smile. "Maybe one day we will meet again, but not anytime soon Im afraid." She said.

"I sincerely hope that isn't so," Gwythyr said. "However, time does not permit. I must go."

(OOC: No problem)
"Good luck on your trip."
She said as she grabed her pack.
"I must be leaving as well."
