The fog descended upon the city of Zaloria, covering it in the thick blanket, as if it was tucking the city into it's bed. From the skies, small, refreshing droplets of water began sprinkling, cleaning away all the pollution of the city. Only the faint smell of oil remained, but even that was hardly noticable through the clean, refreshing smell of rain.
The streets were deserted, only the occasional taxi hovercab came through, it's lights barely showing through the mist. Small gusts of wind began cleaning up the litter that filled the streets, moving them into small piles. Even the streets themselves seemed to be cleaner, the multicoloured oil began to drain away and the leaves sorted themselves to one side of the street.
An uncanny sereness seemed to rule through the city, while the night began to give over to the day. The sun had not yet come up, but the moon was slowly dissapearing. A lone figure sat on a weathered wooden bench, her head resting against the bench. Pooled around her, her hair cascaded over her shoulders and onto the littered ground, tinted a light silver by the dying moonlight. Her large, amber speckled eyes simply stared at the moon, delighting in the calming moonlight. It accented the metallic, pink and white, cat-like ears that stuck out of her hair; they were the only thing that proved her not to be human.
A smile played on her face as she paused to sigh slightly, shaking her hair out of her face. Dotted with star-like jewels, the black silk-satin dress she wore flowed down to her feet, like a sea of the sky. Without any change in expression, she began floating upwards, toward the moon, until she landed on a tall lampost, her hair swirling around her small body.
From a distance, it looked like a magnificent picture. The moon, perfect in it's beauty, and the small girl with the flowing dark dress, the jewels almost luminous, staring up at the moon. Of course, because of the time, no one was there to see it and those who did, thought that they were hallucinating. Goddesslike, the girl stood on the lamp post for a good time, even when people began coming out.
