X turned towards Orion. "Forgive me, i'll just split the frequency...There, you both should understand me clearly now."

Comprehension dawned on Longshanks' face, and he scratched his beard. Now X was speaking in Longshanks' language as well. He must have some sort of translator . . . a spark of suspicion lit deep in Longshanks' heart, and though he tried to ignore it, it remained, pricking him like a pin in his conscience. "Indeed, I can understand you. Now, I am curious, what are you doing here in these mountains?" He accidentally let a hint of his suspicion to enter his voice, and he cursed himself silently for this slip-up. But so far, he had only detected curiosity in this X's emotions, and it required a translator to communicate--just like the Cython assassin he hunted would need. Perhaps its legs had healed now--Cython regeneration could be startlingly fast--or perhaps he had been fed misinformation by the beings he had so far querried.

"I crashed my ship on this planet, journeyed and now I am here...It is ok to be curious, I understand your mild xenophobia...and yes, I do have minor telepathic abilities."

Feldspar, relieved to hear his own tongue again, immediately began to speak
"So your ship crashed, eh?" he spoke in F'istari, "what were you doing in your ship, huh? Searching for your next prey no doubt!"
Feldspar was past hiding his emotions. As he spoke this his anger began to boil, then turning into a frothy, steaming rage. He had dealt with people of this type before, bounty hunters, corsairs, drug runners. They were all basically the same, the same look in their eye. The same aura that they gave off, he could sense it. Maybe it was just the shock of his impact, but these niceties seemed to be the porcelain mask over a hags withered visage to him. His grip tightened on his pistol yet his aim did not waver.
"Now tell me, where do you hail from?"

"Funny you are, smaller one. I am in no need to tell you anything. Indeed, I was a bounty hunter, but I left for my own reasons." He crossed his arms and shifted his balance for a defense...

"Telepathy . . . interesting," Longshanks stated. He wondered if guarding his thoughts would do any good, and knowing that X knew that he was trying to prevent X from knowing anything made his lips twitch in amusement. "But xenophobia . . . ? Not I. Perhaps you mistook my suspicions for such fears?" Longshanks, observing the intercourse of the two men, decided that X could not be a Cython; Cython did not react defensively against verbal assaults--or at least, that's what he figured Feldsparr had been doing, an attack with words, considering the rising anger in the man and the fact that Longshanks didn't know what he was saying.
Turning now to Feldsparr, Longshanks laid a hand on the man's shoulder. "There's no need to get angry, friend. This man has done nothing wrong that we know of, and means us no immediate harm. Calm you ire, I ask you." He could feel the hot anger burning in Feldsparr's heart as he spoke to him, and projected a barely noticeable amount of serenity via his empathic powers into Feldsparr.
Turning back to X, hoping that Feldsparr would calm down, Longshanks scratched his beard thoughfully. Shivering as a blast of biting wind brought a flurry of snow that chilled him "Perhaps we could continue this conversation elsewhere, in a more hospitable environment? My lifeboat is not much farther up the mountain." The Orion gestured in the direction of his ship with one broad hand.

"Let us move then." X began to walk in the direction that Orion gestured towards.
I will not read your thoughts if you wish, twas merely a precautionary move X directed his thoughts towards Orion...

Feldspar slowly lowered his pistol as he continued to glare at the man...X.
"Very well, this is no place to pass the time idly. I...apologize for my hasty assumptions. I am a military man, and we are trained to shoot first and ask questions later when dealing with those who could be the enemy. Shall we?"
Feldspar gestured with his hand towards the direction that they had been travelling.

Longshanks nodded at the two, and continued on his way up the mountain towards his landed ship. As the approached it, it loomed out of the flurrying snow as a dark shadow perched on a jagged crag protruding sharply from the mountainside, akin to a picture out of lore of some fell beast hulking on high, ready to pounce. Wrapping his ebony wings about him to shield himself from the cold, Longshanks strode forward and, climbing over several rocks, punched the stud that opened the lifeboat's door, which hissed up into the side of the vessel. Stepping inside, he gestured for his companions to join him within, where the ship's environment controls kept it comfortably warm.
Longshanks remembered, with a humorous smile on his lips, an ancient fable where the spider invited the fly into its web; he was not like the spider, but the situation reminded him of it as he said, "And here we are. Come on in."

shivering uncontrolably, Feldspar gingerly leapt into the cabin. Once inside he sighed contentedly, the warm air gently massaging the bitter cold from his aching joints. He took a seat in the co-pilot's chair.
"Whoo it sher es roomie in hir! Specially when you compir it weth the combat sheps that I usually drive. How fest dus this theng go anyway?" He gave a friendly wink before turning around in his seat towards the door.
"Hey you are you coming or not!" He yelled to X

X ducked into the door and punched the close button. He sat down in a passenger's seat behind the co-pilot's chair.
"Nice ship..."

Feldspar, noticing that the Orion wasn't doing anything, cleared his throat, breaking the awkward silence.
"Um, you may go now. We're ready!"

Longshanks shrugged, using both his long arms an massive ravenesque wings for the human gesture. He arched an eyebrow beneath his bangs, then scratched his beard as he stated, "I'd love to go, but to where? Where do you wish to go? I'll take you both wherever you want to go on the planet, to different locations if you so wish, but I don't know where. Please inform me." He wandered over to the helm, ready to program in whatever course the locations they would hopefully give him would require, turning back to his two guests to await their answers.

Feldspar hadn't thought of that one. But then again, did it matter? It wasn't like he had any life here, no family to come to, no place where friends expected him. Only oppurtunities, an entire world filled with them.
"I have no idea where I should go, or where I want to f-for that matter. I'm content to simply travel with you, chase your energy sign- n-natures, as we F'istari say." His english was becoming noticeably better, with only the occasional studder to hinder his lingual projectures. "That is, i-if my presence will not b-burden you."

"I have a bounty to catch. If your interested, I'll give you a cut of the money." X crossed his arms, looking up at the ceiling in thought...
