The wind blew hard against the frosty pines of the mountain. Storm clouds gathered as the snow turned into solid pellets of ice. The grove was empty...or so it seemed. The strength in the wind grew untill it appeared as if the trees could not hold on even with their deep flowing roots.
Everything stilled, however, when a beautifully paled girl stood where nothing but air was a moment before. Mangled black hair twirled about her divine face as the wind came back to life. Eyes of gold showed beatly qualities, and yet this goddess seemed so pure. Her nose was somewhat small and her lips were full. Her curvy form was outlined as the north wind pushed at her side. Slender fingers held a delecate looking fan that showed the story of a wolf, a girl, and a hawk whose presence wakened the senses.
From the blizzard, two figures emerged to stand next to the woman's side. One, an enourmous(sp?) white wolf, the other, an almost black hawk. As soon as the others appeared, the woman snapped shut the fan, silencing all of the wind and halting its course. Hikaro, the wind's forever mistress, had arived on fyia.

Fay't was passing through the mountains, trying to get an idea of the terain he would soon be fighting in when suddenly an enormous gale struck. Crouching down, Fay't held his cloak tightly to his body while bullets of white snow flew in all directions.
Well, at least these don't eat away your flesh like the sandstorms back home.
Fay't was of the desert and didn't particularly enjoy being in such a cold climate, but, bred as a fighter, he did what he had to.
The wind subsided as abruptly as it had come and looking to his left, Fay't noticed that a girl had suddenly appeared out of thin air. She was stunningly beautiful and any other fifteen year old boy would probably have been awestruck. Instead, Fay't looked upon her and her two pets with suspicion. He did not live for base instincts such as passion and attraction. He had seen too much blood. Fay't lived now only to survive long enough to exact his revenge on a certain man. Fay't thought to hide, but there was no place to take cover and she had no doubt already seen him. One hand slid unseen to the hilt of Fay't's Crysknife, hidden somewhere within his cloak.
"Who're you?" Fay't asked with a low suspicious voice, bordering on emnity.

god danm...where...ohh where can little Hikaro be? hmmm.....a light blue angle alighted gently on a perolis mt. peak. the snow barley whispered accross her toes. she didn't feel the fine mist of cold settle on her relaxed body. her wings wove thin patterns of impationce and hope in the still, fridged air. Tenshi had not seen her friend in years. and now, after finaly tracking her down...coming so close to finaly finding her......gahhhhh!!!! were the F was she!!?? a thin ribbon of wind tickled Tenshi's wings. slowly, the brocken angle turned and faced the oncomming winter gale. a small explosion of white caught her eye. ahhhh.....finaly...a sign of her!!! and off the peak the angle flew, off to the next one. flying low over this new peak, Tenshi saw not only the frail, windblown fugure of her friend, but also a man. who was he and what was going on. scilently and stealthily, she landed behind Hikaro and waited for the goddess to turn. ((...yeah... ))

Fay't heard the something approaching but didn't dare to look away from the girl and her giant wolf and hawk. He only knew what it was that approached when she landed behind the first girl. It was a strange creature, a person with wings. Fay't hadn't seen many of those in his travels. They were called angels if he remembered correctly. In any case, he didn't care what it was. His brain was focused on battlefield analysis.
Great, another one. So it'd be four to one now.
Fay't hoped he wouldn't be forced into a fight. It was not something he would be looking forward to, but his hand remained on the knife nonetheless. Better to fight than die a stupid death.

Hikaro felt Tenshi land behind her and smiled at her old friend.
"No need to be behind me, Tenshi. I must deal with this boy first, come if you wish." she said gently in the Arch-Angel's mind. She turned her head and winked.
Her attention was directed again as she watched the boy with amusement. She walked to the teen and smiled. A delecate finger reached under his chin, intending to lift it.
"You aren't afraid of a little blizzard, are you, love?" she asked tenderly, an innocent smile on her face.

Is she trying to mock me?
Fay't's eyes narrowed as she approached but he refused to back away. Such an action would show weakness on his part. He kept his eyes fixed upon the girl's face, also using his peripherals to keep an eye on the others at the same time. As the finger came closer to his chin, Fay't touched the tip of his knife to the girl's stomach from beneath his cloak. When he spoke, it was in a tone so full of contempt that it sent the message that to toy with him could be fatal.
"Touch me, and the next thing that finger will feel is its own blood as it lies upon the snow."

Hikaro laughed. The sounds was melodic, having the same effect as her mother's. This was the first male to resist her and he thought he could kill her. That made her smirk.
"Bold words, love. You are brave and foolish. No mortal could contain the power that you have seen me wield, and yet you think you can kill me." she chuckled and sighed, as if giving up some argument in her mind. The large snowflakes dotted her ebony hair as it fell from the clouds above.
"I suppose you could try to kill me," her finger made contact with his skin and began to trace his chin. The touch was gentle, almost caring, telling him that she didn't mean any harm, but would cause much if needed.
"if you want."

Fay't glowered for a moment or two more, then in one quick movement, sheathed his knife and turned away. He wasn't so stupid to incite a 4 on 1 fight, even if this girl was toying with him. He could still feel where her finger had touched his skin and the thought revolted him. How easily she could have killed him. It was only luck that she did not.
In any case, this girl seemed to weild a formidable amount of power. It might be wise to not make an enemy of her or her friend.
He took two steps away, then spoke without facing her to show that he did not care for her touching him or calling him "love."
"You'll excuse my defensive instincts. You simply startled me. Not many people appear randomly from blizzards."

Tenshi shifted uneasaly from foot to foot as she watched the confruntation. she knew that this boy was no thret to Hikaro and her friend wouldn't kill unless she had to....but still. killing was unnesisary, pointless, stupid.
the wind atop the ice encrusted mountain shivered bitterly accros Tenshi's skin and she shuddered. the cold was at last getting to her. how long was hikaro going to stand there and what about the stranger.
gahh!!! this is taking way to long!!!! hikaro, i am FREEZING!!!!! do something, end this, i need warmth!!!!....or something
hoping hikaro would hear her plea, Tenshi sighed loftily and waited for something to happen.
