(Sorry if i named the Geisha book's title wrong! I have bad memorizing things sometimes..pleh)
Yup, Les Miserables is like a really thick book, probably even thicker than a Harry Potter book.

You should buy the Azumanga-daioh graphic books. When you are bored they keep you occupied

HHmm... alright. Well, I may be buying something today, we're going to Best Buy. ^_^ I really just want to get anime though... but I've been promising myself to save up money for mutual funds.

Yes - I would recommend Azumanga as a nice light read. It isn't much like most manga you see around - they were originally published as 4-panels comic strips in a magazine, and the manga books are simply compilations of the strips. Like a book of Calvin and Hobbes, or some other daily comics.
Azumanga itself is about the lives and struggles of a group of high-school girls (and their teachers). Not much in the way of romance, but lots of comedy to laugh over.

Sakura had mentioned the panel style, heh, my plan is to buy it when I find it. Some how. But until then, I'll just enjoy the anime. ^_^

I always thought Azumanga-daioh was about random stories

Well, it tends to have little arcs on a similar storyline, much like any strip cartoon. Occasionally you'll get gag strips, though.

I liked the fourth volume. My favorite strip was when Tomo couldn't get milk out of a machine because the cup got stuck with another. It was hularious

Azumanga-dioh! I read only one of those... the first one I got for Kurai for his bday! That somebody else already got him... -.-; I love Sakaki. She's so kewl. Here kitty! *chomp*
Best dude in there is the perverted teacher guy. "So, why did you decide to teach a high school class?"
"For the teenage girls! I love em!"
*awkward silence as the bell rings*

Tomo was my favorite
Tomo: If you ever become the president of America... When that happens, give me Hawaii.
