"Shut up. When we get out of this, i'll explain. I'd rather die fighting than die talking." With that, she calmly hit two attackers in that area males find most sensitive, and stood ready for a third, her back against Gai's.

Watching her give the two men low blows Gai felt a wave of simpathy for them but then relized that they would do much worse to him and forgot about it. "You truel are heartless if you're gonna give them low blows like that all the time." he sai with a laugh as he took out an enemy with a flick of his blades. They were like twin snakes seeking a kill.

Mellira shrugged, and she hit again. She was poised to run, although she knew she could never out run these attackers. Her knee, which had been injured earlier and healed by Longshanks still was tender and weak. Once again, she struck her attackers, this time blindly. She felt her blow connect.

"YOu're very touchy. Remind when we get out of this to never piss you off. I'd have to hurt you and you might hurt me in the process." he said with a laugh. Taking out another enemy by cleving him in half.

Mellira kept moving. She didn't want to talk, didn't want to think. She just wanted to keep moving, keep herself protected as her training masters had always taught. They believed that thinking too much in a fight would lead to disaster, and Mellira finally understood what they meant. She quartered two attackers, and looked around. Only four remained of the mighty army.
"Can you take two?" She ask Gai.

"Easily, I could take all four if you like." he said proudly. He was not found of being shown up by women.

((it's OK... short posts don't exactly bother me))
Mellira grinned, and drew her bow. She was ready, and carefully hit one man in the back with a bolt. Then, she used her bow to hold one in a strangle hold. She kept the other two at bay with her polearm, waiting for Gai to make good on his boast.

In the blink of an eye, Gai was at two of the mens side with his blades in their sides and then moved on to the other man and took his head off.
"There! How's that for keeping up my boast." he said as the three men fell to the ground; lifeless.

Mellira studied him for a moment, before withdrawing a water bottle. She pulled the cork out with her teeth, and took a hardy swig. Then, she offered it to Gai.
"Friends?" She asked, offering a hand she had whipped clean on the dead men's clothes.

Taking the bottle from Mellira, he poured it over his head before taking a sip. When he had finished with his share he returned it to her and looked her in the eyes. There was a genuine expression in them that showed that she went it.
"Agreed!" he said as he took her hand. There was little need to say anything." You watch my back and I yours and we'll fight to the death side by side if need be." he declared to his newly found friend. And from then on he planned to be a better friend towards others no matter what there attitude was like.

Mellira grinned. She was in a place where there seemed to be a myard of places to attack. "Are there targets here?" She asked, planning to pratice her archery. "I'd like to practice my shooting at them, as oposed to people."

Sitting down foor a breather, Gai thought for a second, "Why yes there is as a matter of fact. Lets head that way and loose a few shafts. I've been meaning to do so anyways." he said as he unstrung his bow and began to wax it.
"So shall we head off?" he said as he stood up and began to walk down the hall. "If so we better hurry before the cadets get there and take all the good targets." he said with a chuckle.

"What are cadets?" Mellira asked confused. "Why would they take the targets? Are you as good a shot as you are a swordsman? Who made your bow? What arrows do you use? Where are the targets?" SHe asked, trailing him down the hall toward the large indoor pratice courts.
Carefully, Mellira unslung her pack, all the while pestering Gai for answers to her many questions. Still berating him, she carefully strung her bow in the way she had been taught by her grandmother and found a target already bosting arrows. Then, she aimed and shot.
twang, hoooooyeee, thunk the arrow hit the tagret. She loosed again and again until her quiver was empty. Mellira noticed nothing around her as she shot. She did not remember how much she loved to hit a still target. She was utterly focased.

As they alked down the hall Gai answered all of the girls questions. "A cadet is someone that is a newbie to the army, navy or Marines....I think or something like that. All I know is that they are under my command and like to hog all of the targets and that what i ment by them taking the best target; using them, it's another way of saying using them." he said with a laugh, as he listened to her next question follow right after he answerex the first.
"Well, I'm not the greatest marksman ever but I'm the best at the base next to you I'd say. At least i am with a bow. And I made my own boy as a bot and use ash arrows with peakock flegding(sp and I think I used the wrong word.) And to answer your final question.....the targets are right here." he said as he opened the door that appeared right infront of him.
As they walked through the doors Gai ssaw her eyes light up as she stepped up to a target and began to fire repeatedly."So, how do you like it? Pretty nice, uh?" he asked her when she ran out of arrows.

Mellira started.
"Yes. My grandmother taught me to shoot as was the way in our village. I am only a shot thanks to her. Everytime i shoot, i hear her voice in my ear, urging me to my best. Archery was the only weponry lesson where i was good enough for my teacher."
