Ix had not seen this logic path previously, and saved it for future reference, and continued to follow, somewhat forgetting that there was a destination somewhere in the future. He enjoyed the company of this human. She thought differently than others. Soon he was closer to her side than behind her, closing the gap with every few steps. Finally, they are side by side as they walked.

Zaskrit noticed the change in his stride, and happily noted it; it was while she was doing this that she realized that she'd slipped back into a happy mood. It was not something she minded particularly, but she liked to keep track of such things.
"How old are you?"
The question seemed a reasonable one; if the mechanoid hadn't considered her line of thought, he must not have had very long to think about it.
Zaskrit had little but time to think of her life, and had had a long time to do it.

He responded with the exact counter that was started upon his activation: " Seven hours, twenty-two minutes, and forty nine seconds. And you?" he returned the question, seeing little or no relevance to the situation at hand, but was "happy" nonetheless to have a conversation.

Zaskrit cocked her head to the side.
"Oh? That young? You've definately got some years ahead of you. I am . . ."
She tallied up all the numbers in her head until she found a set that she thought was her age - in actuality, she had the seconds and minutes backwards.
"Three thousand, seven hundred and ninety-two years, one hundred and twelve days, eight hours, nine minutes, and thirty-seven seconds."
Spinning in a circle on a whim, Zaskrit pondered the age difference.
"I think I've had a bit more time to consider life than you have . . ."

Ix watched and listened to the woman's comments. He really saw little baring on the situation, but he had to admit that her amount of time living would entail a bit more experience. Perhaps he could learn something from her.

Zaskrit suddenly stopped moving.
"Hey, will this do?"
She'd come to a darkened store. It said something on a rickety metal sign out front about machine repair - Zaskrit hadn't really bothered with the details, such as what it actually said.
"I don't think there's anyone there . . ."

Ix took in the view of the store in one glance, and said, "The sin there indicates that the establishment will open again in the morning. We need only wait until then," Ix waited for response, never having the thought of breaking the law even enter his processing.

Zaskrit pondered the store.
"We could just go in and get the stuff necessary for repairs. Do you know how to do the job?"

He responded to the question at hand before adding commentary, "Yes, I can repair myself, assuming this shop has the parts and tools. But it is closed, and the law prohibits entering private property without permission."
