Vahn slowed his walk as he came in front of a far too familiar salloon, he turned his head slightly towards it as the scene flashed in front of his eyes. He saw the green light emmanate from the salloon as a man walked out of it, he was closely followed by an angered man with wings that Vahn had come to know as Longshanks. He then saw himself walk out, as a new man came to the ade of the evil man. Vahn walked through a barrage of bombs, shrapnel sticking in his body and one leg ablaze. Another man joined and fought the bomb-thrower, as a woman came to the ade of the injured longshanks. A bomb landed near the two and Vahn ran and took the explosion upon his own body. Vahn's hand came over his stomach as a memory of the gaping hole he once had. He looked over at Vyr, "come on, I'll buy you a drink."

A look of concern crossed the woman's face, but it was covered by a mask of shadow. She followed him towards the inn, but something stopped her. That knotting pain in her stomach. Then her head. Torr tried to tell her somthing, but nothing got through the searing pain now swiping through her mind. She could deal with that part, keeping her composure, but something else kicked in, something very few of her clan had to deal with.
Vyr collapsed to the ground, screaming in pain as the thing spred to her neck and her wrists. Scars suddenly showed themselves, deep and white. Along the major vains. Memories flodded her frail mind. "Kivyr. You have shamed your family and, in fact, killed them. You do not deserve to live. In order to gain love from the goddess again, you will sacrifice your life to the goddess. Tonight." The young girl nodded, tears rolling down her eyes as she grabbed the dirk and ran into the forest. Without thinking, blood spilled everywhere, staining the forest floor and running into the clear stream. Gone. Gone. Gone.

After a moment, the pain subsided, leaving Vyr aching, shaking from the experince. Her hair that was red a few moments ago was pure white and a large, white scar could be seen down her neck as she cried.
"It hurts...oh Goddess it hurts..."
She grabbed her wrists and looked up at Vahn. Tears rolled down her cheeks. Her eyes were filled with pain, looking into his as if searching for something. For the first time in over 20 years, Vyr just wanted to be comforted.
She began sobbing and curled into a ball, hugging her knees to her chest, just managing to get a word out.
"...please..."

Vahn wrapped his arms around her, and whispered to her. "It's okay, I don't know what you see, but you're here, in Dathomir, there is no present danger, just an empty street, you're safe here." He offered to help her to her feet, "come on, inside, we'll get you some water."

Her cloak was damp with sweat, yet her skin was icy cold. Green eyes were wide, the tears whelling up on the corners. She shivered and took his hand, not letting go as she clambered to her feet. Her eyelids closed over her eyes and opened again, looking at Vahn's face.
"...thank you...."
Her eyes looked to her feet and a blush came to her face as she realized that she was grasping his hand tightly at her side. She let go quickly and let her hand drop to her side.

Longshanks leaned over a table in the corner, wings folded above in such a way as to throw him deeper into shadow where he could nurse his ale alone. His brows were furrowed as he concentrated hard to shut out the racing emotions filling the bar, the raging glee and open flames of anger that swelled and broke around him like powerful waves smashing against a sea-side cliff. Gritting his teeth, he lifted his tankard to his lips and swilled a mouthful of the potent spirits, relishing the burn of it sliding down his throat.
Why in Hel's name was he here? This was a stupid place to be, the town where he'd made enemies with Setthirosa--Mahandronis--whatever it was. The pain of that encounter, the ragged scar that would be across his belly now if not for the natural fortitude of his race, burned a scar in his memory that remained, manifesting itself to him far more blatantly than any physical thing could.
Worse yet, Longshanks had accomplished his original mission just outside of this town, the death of Cethyn. The injury of that encounter had not even scabbed over yet, still gushed with the black blood of a tainted wound. Longshanks sank deeper into himself, wishing he could drown his worries in alcohol like the other men here, that his system would not employ its superior constitution to keep the poisons out of his veins and brain.
'Why am I here? There's nothing here for me. Nothing but painful memories and broken lives' Thoughts whirling faster and faster as he sank further into self-induced depression, Longshanks drained the rest of his ale and signaled for another to be sent to his table while he pushed the empty tankard away. 'I wonder how that Vahn fellow made out?'
Suddenly, pain entered Longshanks awareness, a sharp pain everywhere; another entity nearby was being wracked by agony. For a moment the Orion sat entirely still, himself twisted by the intense torture, uncertain what to do. Then he stood up unsteadily, fighting the effects of the pain shooting like fire through him. Some men in the bar laughed, watching him stand up, taking his staggers for those of a drunk, and he waved a wing at them comically to entertain their fancies while he stumbled towards the door.
Then it was gone, leaving a cold sweat clinging to Longshanks pallid face and hands. He shuddered, shaking off the memory of the agony still fresh in his mind and continued along, intending to get to the bottom of it. Death did not cause the cessation, as the being that had endured it and from whom Longshanks had received it, was still alive, just beyond the door. Another being also stood outside, vaguely familiar in how it felt. Running his hand through his chestnut hair before continuing, revealing ice-blue eyes for a moment, the Orion pushed through the door and found himself looking at one familiar face and one unknown. Having just been thinking about him, Longshanks immediately recognized Vahn, but the other, a female was new to Longshanks.
"Vahn?"

"Constant rumors of Binak... And I'm sensing someone's coming to Fyia... damn it all. It's all become very complicated since Binak and I separated..." Firehawk had gotten word that Binak was in Dathomir, but he seemed to have already left. Only once had they met up since the separation in the Arkane Lands. In Puralgatha, they had fought briefly before Boku stopped Binak.
Firehawk looked over and saw the part of town where hell had broken loose when he arrived. "Never thought I'd bother. Never thought I'd even think of coming back... not after that insanity." Again he scanned the area quickly, and in the distance he saw...
"Wait. Is that... Longshanks? And that's Vahn! Wait... oh crap. This better not turn out like last time." Firehawk walked over to the others and realized there was another with Vahn that he didn't know. Where the hell is this going?

An expression of suprise was quickly spread over Vahn's face as he stared into the face of his old friend. It couldn't be, the chances of running into him in this same place that he had the first time, were 1000-1. "Longshanks!?, let's go inside, we'll catch up."

"Hey Vahn, deja vu, eh?" Firehawk reached the others and spoke to Vahn in a very casual tone. Even though he had come for Binak, his bitter rival and pure enemy, he wasn't here, so Firehawk had some downtime. "Need some help?"
Firehawk stood and waited for a reply, and remembered Vahn's interest in his evil side who later became Binak. Things have come a long way since my first time here... damn...

"Sure, come in." Vahn said almost impatiently, all these encounters were keeping him from getting Vyr inside and out of the heat. Vahn struggled over to the table in the far corner where he had first heard Longshanks and the dark man so long ago. He set Vyr down at the table and went over to the bar to get drinks for the four of them. He placed a large gold ball on the counter about the size of an orange, and looked up at the bartender. "Drinks, all night long." He then leisurely walked back to the table and sat down and looked his old friends in the eyes. "What have I missed since we met last, anything important?"

Firehawk was finding it fairly difficult to say what was on his mind, what had happened since the incident of the Arkane Lands.
"You remember me telling you about that evil side, right? I think I told you anyway... It's not there anymore." Firehawk paused, then took a deep breath and continued.
"The reason for that is... something happened, I have no idea what. That evil side now lives as a separate entity named Binak. The only reason I was even here was to search for him. But apparently he isn't here." Firehawk felt the weight of his problem begin to lessen.

Vahn stopped suddenly and turned to Firehawk, a look of curiosity intertwined with a hint of jeolosy on his face. "Another entity....? If only I was that lucky, no, I am part of my other self, and it is part of me, there is no hope of separation for a dreamer such as myself. I hope that you find this Binak someday friend. I m9ight even help you find him if fate allows. I would like to know how you two separated." Vahn turned his attention back to Vyr and handed one of the ales to her. "Here, drink this. You'll feel better soon."

Vyr never had friends and therefore never knew what it was like to reunite with them. So, when Vahn and Firehawk began to talk, she got lost. She also got a bit jealous. Her only friend and these people were 'reuniting' taking him away from her. Her mind swarmed up with anger, but she calmed down, realizing that this man prolly ment as much to them and he did to her.
She stared at the cup in front of her for a bit, then downed it, her smile broadening. Beer.

Vahn smiled, Good, she looks like she's getting better. He looked back to Longshanks, with an inviting look on his face, open for a discussion. "Longshanks, what has happened to you since we met so long ago, did you ever find the man from the bar that shot us? And what of the bomb-throwing one?" Vahn's hand went over his stomach again as he remembered taking the blow for his friend.
