"No, it's not a stupid name. Some of the best names describe a person. You look like that name describes you…" Ril trailed off. Her mouth was always running ahead of her brain. She was mortified at how rude she had just been.
The thunder provided a distraction. She had never cared for storms, either. It seemed like most people relished the excitement. Rilcar had been caught in a flash flood as a small child and had not welcomed the rain since.
"I don't have a tent. If we hurry, we might be able to out run it. We should get away from the cliff edge."

Zaskrit considered the proposition for a minute, her companion's slip completely bypassing her for the time being.
"I . . . am not good at running. I think I will need assistance."
Raising her gauntlet in front of her, she peered at its fingers and allowed her eyes to droop half shut for a minute. Then, she felt the familiar energy pour out of her fingertips, and slowly materialize into an expansive pair of silvery-blue wings on her back. She looked over at Rilcar.
" . . . Do . . . you need something?"

Ril stared, agog, at the wings.
"I didn't mean really run...it's just an expression..."
What do you do when your questionable company suddenly sprouts wings? Run away screaming? Trying not to follow that mental suggestion, Ril managed to only back up a few steps.
"If you can fly, why bother walking anywhere?" The storm sounded very far away. A couple hours, at least, before it hit. Maybe this freaky young woman was going to just flap off now. Ril couldn't quite get her head around the things. "You have WINGS!"
