DarkUmbra saw that Kathryn was enjoying herself. This made him infinitly happier than before. He made an even broader smile than before just so she knew he was enjoying himself. He felt the same flittering in his. . .heart? humans called it. He 'looked' at where it ordinarrily would be. He reached through the hole and felt sad. As he once again remembered that it did not matter, because he still loved Kathryn, his smile returned and the holes within him began to weld themselves closed. He wondered what happened but did not move. He was now complete.

Kathryn stopped walking and looked at DarkUmbra.
He . . . he just . . . reached . . . closed . . . ew . . .wait! That's so . . . weird? No, cool . . . okay, I'm lost.
She tried to read him, but it didn't do her any good.
That was peculiar.
She stared into his eyes for a moment and then grabbed his other hand, trying to prove that she was there for him. She leaned her head onto his shoulder in a comforting way.
Complete.
Ah. Yes, that did make sense. She looked up at him and smiled. "That was kinda weird," she whispered softly. There was no need to speak up. They were the only two in the world, and she had the feeling that he could hear her just fine.

DarkUmbra smiled back at Kathryn. He clutched her hand. 'Staring' deeply into her eyes, he began to lean on her as she had him. He too had forgotten everything else in total creation for all that mattered was Kathryn in this moment. He spoke with the same soft tone. The usual rasping wisper gone.
[glow=purple,2,300]That it was, that it was. Thank you for everything Kathryn, for all the support. I just want you to know that I too am here whenever you need me. Nothing else matters more than you.[/glow]

Kathryn leaned in to DarkUmbra, her head on his chest. She smiled, and closed her eyes. Once more, she began to wander in her own thoughts.
This is so nice. Hmm. We'll probably have to do the dating thing for a while. What a pain. oh well, I guess it's worth it. Maybe it'll work out. That would always be nice. Of course, at this point it always seems like. . . no, never mind. Only happy thoughts. How could you be unhappy when you here? Hehe. His hands are warm. I wonder what happened to my own family. Last time I heard, they were still on Earth. Hmm. What a wretch of a planet. Hmm. Family. I wonder if we could starty a family. OF course, I'd have to talk to him, and that probably won't come up for months and months from now. But maybe. It'd be interessting, to say the least. This is so nice. Gods, I'd forgotten how wonderful it is to care about someone and have your affections be returned.
Kathryn realized that she had probably been looking comatose for a long time. She shifted her weight slightly and stood closer to DarkUmbra.
I love you . . .

[glow=purple,2,300]I love you too.[/glow]
DarkUmbra whispered. He wasn't sure how he knew she had thought that, or how he had said it. But it had happened and that's all that mattered. He wondered what would happen now. He hadn't ever done the caring thing before, and he had no idea where to go. Oh well things would work out. He loved her too much to let Kathryn go. The sky was beautiful and he was holding Kathryn by him, and everything was perfect. So, this is bliss.

"Bu-I- . . ." Kathryn was thoroughly confused.
No, it doesn't matter.
She laughed softly, and leaned her head into his chest. She pulled herself closer towards him, enjoying their time togeather, not wanting it to end. The night sky shone beautifully above them. In so few hours, her life had been changed darasticly. "Yes. I love you." she smiled and turned her head up to his.
That was fast, but oddly, it doesn't seem to matter.
No, nothing matterd anymore. All of the stresses of her everyday life seemed to dissipate as she thought of that moment. By just focusing her energy on being with him, she was no longer tortured by the images, and the voices that she had always tried so hard to block out.
Undoubtedly, he would come to learn of this as well, for it didn't seem like there was anything that she could lie to him about. Not now, not ever . . .
Don't let me be alone anymore . . .

DarkUmbra inched even closer to Kathryn. He held her close. He niether, wanted the night to end. He turned his head to meet hers. He thought of his life before meeting Kathryn. It didn't seem to bother him, none of it did. Not while he was with Kathryn. As his face was centimeters from hers, he slowly noticed the sun rising ever so slowly over the hills. He began to cry for the first time in his life thinking that it was over.
[glow=purple,2,300]I love you so much Kathryn. Don't ever leave me.[/glow]
Why had he thought it was over, just because the morning had nearly broken? Certainly this was not the case. Nothing could pry him away from her at this moment, not even direct light.

Kathryn kept her eyes closed and leaned her forhead against the one of DarkUmbra. A pathetic smile lit up her sad face. The sun was coming out. And just when it was getting good.
Oh well. We can go.
"It's the sun. We'd better get you out of here. I'd take you back to my place except," a fast release of air, laughlike, signaled her her embarassment. "I don't really have one." She placed her arms gently around his stomach, subtly pulling herslef even closer into him. She wanted this moment to last forever, but she had to protect him as well. Because, as far as she was concerned, they were one now, and if something hurt him then it would hurt her twice as bad.
She opened her eyes drowsily and looked him in the eyes. "Come on. Let's go."
It's not like we have to be apart . . .

DarkUmbra held Kathryn closer, their faces were no more than an inch apart. He began to emmitt his shroud of shadows that envellopped the both of them. He did not want this moment to end either, but he loved Kathryn too much to leave her even in death. He held her even closer and spoke in the merest of whispers.
[glow=purple,2,300]I'd invite you to my place, but we've already been there. Whatever you want I'm willing. I'm here for you and your choise is mine. . . Good morning.[/glow]

"Good morning," she repeated smiling and staring into his eyes. It must have been a miracle of some sort, the sun was directly casting light on the both of them and he seemed just fine. Her smile widened. "If it doesn't matter to you, I'd just like to stay here. I was just worried . . . " She let her voice trail off in order to have DarkUmbra draw his own conclusions. She closed her eyes and reached her face even closer to his, their noses touching.
Mmm. Don't make me move.
No doubt, people would walk by and make rude remarks, or something of the nature, but she didn't care. People would die, and new ones would begin their lives, but it would all happen around them. She didn't really have to become part of society . . . She could stay right there, in DarkUmbra's arms. And she could be happy.

DarkUmbra liked the sanctuary of his shroud of shadows, but wished that it was not neccessary. Kathryn couldn't like this darkness thing very much. DarkUmbra also thought of others passing by. But if they did they would do nothing physical, and if they did, then he would release a torrent of shadow magic so strong with love, that they would dare not try again. Holding Kathryn here in his arms, there was nothing he couldn't do. He felt as though she was a part of him and he couldn't let go if he'd wanted to. Which he didn't.
[glow=purple,2,300]Yes. Staying here does sound good. I've nowhere to go and all the time in the world to get there. I love you.[/glow]

Kathryn leaned into DarkUmbra happily. Every second that passed she seemed to grow stronger, as if the love between them was feeding her. Time seemed to stand still as she pulled herself even closer into his arms, embracing him in a heartfelt hug. With him in her life now, she could do anything . . . .
She closed her eyes and sort of 'nuzzled' his forehead. "I love you too," she whispered. "I love you so much . . ."
And she could stay that way for eternity.

DarkUmbra returned the gesture wholeheartedly. He too could spend an eternity here in Kathryn's arms. He moved his face even closer to Kathryn's and leaned in. Whatever happened from here was her choise, and he was willing to go with her wherever she needed. Nothing could keep him away. Kathryn was the love of his life and the only thing worth living for. DarkUmbra thought of life before he met Kathryn. He wondered why he had been living. Oh yes, for power. He was seeking the power source to destroy his past and himself along with it. All of that, with Kathryn here in his arms, seemed so pointless, she was the reason he was alive. He loved her so much.
[glow=purple,2,300]Kathryn, don't leave me. You are my reason for living. I love you so much.[/glow]

Kathryn didn't really understand why she kissed DarkUmbra, for whatever reason, it just seemed right.
It must be a sign from the gods.
Their lips conected passionatly, and the mage felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand straight up. She laced her finers in his and leaned in slightly. She could not remember a time when she had ever felt this happy. Her eyes were closed, as she was completly caught in the moment. She was emitting so much energy that a magic-senser would go blind. She relaxed completly and just enjoyed being caught up in the moment. She was so thankful that she had taken this kind stranger up on his offer of a blanket and a place to rest . . . She felt as if she had known him her lifetime instead of only a few hours.
I love you . . .

As DarkUmbra kissed Kathryn, one hand holding hers, the other in her hair, he thought about how things had happened in the first place.
[glow=gold,2,300]Let's see. I lost control of my emotions, Kathryn found me, I invited her in, and then we came here. How does that work? I must be fate.[/glow]
He continued delving into his psyche. He realised that in this moment, his life had changed more than any other one given moment in his life. Kathryn was the best thing that ever happened to him and he would be willing to give everything he had for her. The sun was fully out now, and he and Kathryn were safely inside his shroud of shadows.
[glow=purple,2,300]Wow. That was. . . amazing. So, what do you want to do now?[/glow]
